Can I open directly to first page, and not the title/TOC? We're using HTML5 content for multiple platforms. It works fine, but takes three steps to get to it. We'd like for the book to start immediately with our imported widget. The current process is clunky for the user. Thank you.

Coincidentally i use Google also ..but i wouldn't like to change it...thanks.. your answer it's being helpful. I solved the problem by changing my Firefox preferences : 1.-PRIVACY 2.- Remember history mode.
Anyway i still think that shouldn't work this way when you are in "Never remember history " mode.

-> click the Favicon (small drop down menu icon) on Firefox SearchBar (its position is on the Right side of the Address Bar) -> click "Manage Search Engines" -> select all Unwanted Search Engines and click Remove -> click OK
-> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> REMOVE All Unwanted/Suspicious Extensions (Add-ons) -> Restart Firefox
You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.

On iCloud pages how can you put a header on only the first page and not the second page?

I'm trying the do a visual report and every time I put a header on the first page it goes to the next page and if I try to delete it on the second page it deletes on the first page too.

how can I print just a part of the page and not the full page with Adobe Reader v 10.1.2? I need to print a engineering print with lot of information but information is too small in letter size and I don't have a plotter.

Two ways to print a portion of a page: zooming or using the Snapshot Tool.
ZOOMING:
Zoom into the area you want to print.
Click the Print icon.
Under "Pages to Print", make sure "Current view" is selected under "More options" (you may need to click "More options" to open it).
If you aren't satisfied with the preview, try clicking "Fit" under the Size button.
SNAPSHOT
Choose Edit > Take A Snapshot.
Drag a rectangle around the area you want to print.
Click the Print icon.
Under "Pages to Print", make sure that "Selected Graphic" is selected under "More options".
To enlarge the snapshot to fit the sheet of paper, choose "Fit" under the Size button.

Have a gap in detail of first page and not display group footer on each pag

Please help me about Memo field in SubReport in CrystalReportXI. I have a SubReport that need to display pageheader, detail, page footer, and in detail of subreport contains memo field and set the property of this text box to "Can Grow" = Yes .However, CrystalReportX does not support to display pageheader, pagefooter in SubReport. So. I have created a formular FakePageHeader that has code as
"WhileReadingRecords;
true"
and group in this field and checked option repeat group header on each page and right click Section Expert->check print at Bottom of page for Group Footer.
This problem is when I preview Subreport. It display text in group header and a gap in detail of first page and view next page, the subreport display right data of memo field. But the report still not display group footer on each page.
How do I can remove a gap in first page and display group footer on each page?

in subreport in format for the memo field uncheck keep object together.
You can not force group footers to repeat on each page.
I have not tried this but you might be able to capture the data you want to show in SR page footer and display in main report page footer, using shared variables.

I am using window.print() to print the data of my webpage, it prints only first page and left the remaining while it works fine with IE and Google Chrome, ie print all the pages.

My Page has data more than one page, it has verticle scroll bar to view all data .
I used window.print() to print the data of webpage, but it prints only first page and left the remaining information.
This works fine with Internet Explorer 6+ and Google Chrome.

PDF email only sends the top page and not the others

I have created a real estate brochure in Pages. I have tried to email it as a PDF. When it arrives at its destination there is only one page and not the three which are in the brochure. Why is this? I sent this in Pages format I have all the surrounding editing paraphernalia. It does not look very professional

Are you sure this is what is happening?
Only the top page is shown in the eMail. Save the pdf or double click on it so it open in Preview or Acrobat Reader and you should see all the pages.
If you want people to see multiple pages in the email, split the .pdf up into individual pages, then add them to the eMail.

How to create links that guide you to a specific title on the page and not the beginning of the page?

I'm trying to create links so that when you click on a title in the table of contents it guides you to the title on the specific page. However, when I do that it always sends me to the beginning of the page even if the title is in the bottom. Anyone knows how to do if I want to get to the title and not to the beginning of the page? When I use Finereader it create links from the table of contents automatically and those links send me to the title no mater where it is on the page. I've tried do edit the settings to look like those links created in Finereader but it doesn't work.
I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI on a Mac Book Air.

If I click on a google search link and return with the back arrow on the browser it takes me to the top of the page and not the link I just opened unlike Internet explorer

I run a search on google.com and click on a link that comes up near the bottom of the page, After I read it and then use the back arrow (pointing left) to return to the searches it takes me to the top of the page to the first link google found rather than the link I just looked at. This does not happen with other web pages using firefox or Internet Explorer's Browser (using google).

First of all thanks for anyone that dedicated some time reading my post.
I have the following "quest" for almost 1000 pdf files with different pages within.
a) Delete the first page (I managed with the batch processing)
b) Move page 2 and 3 after the last page of that document
Already searched already with the "batch processing" however i didn't find any useful option.
In my opinion (please guys correct if i'm wrong), the only way that I can do it, is with a javascript.
I found one on the web, and modified a little bit and tried however it doesnt work:

1) Batch Processing
2) New Sequence - Execute Javascript
3) Past your script
4) Run Command on: Ask when sequence....
5) Select output location: Ask when sequence....
But nothing happens. Would u be so kind to help with that?

How can I get any of the search requests to open in a new tab and not the current window. I have just downloaded the new FF8

In my previous version of FF, whenever I did a search with any search engine the results opened in a new tab. Now with FF8 the results open in the current window which really is inconvenient. How do I get the search results to open in a new tab instead?

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
*Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)
Use the Filter at the top of the page to locate this pref: browser.search.openintab
If the value of the browser.search.openintab pref is false then toggle the value to true with a double click on that line.

Recentley printing most documents in firefox print on 1/4 of the page and not the complte document. When I print the same thing in safari it prints fine. Please advise how I can get proper printing in firefox

When using Firefox to print most documents ( boarding passes, mastercard statements,genealogy documents) the printing only shows on 1/4 of the page, is in the lower left quarter and does not print part of the right side of the information. When I go into Safari and print the same documents within 2 minutes they always print fine. We like Firefox and would prefer to continue to use but if we can't print we will have to use Safari more often

I have the same problem with cutting of the page since installing the new version. If you manually zoom out the print it only shows 1/4 of the page on a whole page of paper. Something is wrong here.
I have done all these steps and it still does NOT print correctly!

Whenever I click one of my bookmarks (not all), it always opens the BBC News page and not the original target page. Any clues anyone please?

In fact I just tried another and it opened the Yahoo home page. All the bookmarks in the Bookmarks Toolbar work fine, but anything outside of that doesn't. Mostly it opens the http://news.bbc.co.uk.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I recently installed Lion 10.7.1. In Safari, I have my preferences set at a preferred Homepage, however, each time I search the web at other sites, and after closing the web, and upon re-opening Safari, the last web page opens up and not my preferred Homepage.
