Well. I believe- What you mentioned is essentially- Accessing Essbase from Web. If you could refer to my first post for this thread, I attached the URL too.
If you've tested the URL you imported, this launches Essbase Console, leveraging JRE.
What I said isn't possible is- Opening Essbase apps. just like we work with Planning/HFM applications.
If you can achieve that- Do let me know as I'm curious to know :)

Pages opens strictly word processing AppleWorks v6 files.
The problem with ClarisWorks files were they could contain all sorts of objects from databases to spreadsheets, drawings and paint. the iWork suite is not that versatile.
But you really have little choice as ClarisWorks and AppleWorks are both history. If you are going to switch, the sooner the better.
Just keep in mind what Apple did to ClarisWorks/AppleWorks along with many other of their appliactions and technologies theywill ultimately do to Pages.

This resolved my problem
I checked and my Firefox is doing (or not doing in this case) the same thing. There seems to be a problem with the Snow Leopard and the Adobe browser plugin. I was able to get Firefox working again by going to Firefox > Preferences > Applications and switching all to Adobe settings to "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the plugin. Then I went to Tools > Add-ons... > Plugins and disabled the Acrobat plugin. Restarted Firefox and now pdf worked.

Acrobat XI can't open a PDF file if space in name

I have a .net WinForms Application that calls the Acrobat Reader using a System.Diagnostics.Process.Start. On Acrobat Reader 7 - 10, this works fine. On XI , I receive a message "Unable to Open a Document".
Upon furthur research, it appears that I can't open a PDF document when using Adobe XI if the filename has a space.
Is this a bug? is there a workaround? Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.

The way I got around this was to uncheck the Enabled Protected Mode at startup. You can find this in the Adobe menu Edit->Preferences->Security (Enhanced).

I can't see any of the work spaces in iMovie

When I'm opening iMovie although I can see and use all the controls in the top panel, none of the work spaces are opening. I've been google-ing the problem for the last half an hour and it seems like a really common problem but I haven't found the answer anywhere. Any advice for solving this would be greatly appreciated!

Just to scale down where problem arises - Please try
Start Mac
Goto System Pref (under Apple menu top left hand corner)
Open Account
Click on the Plus sign and Create a New User
Goto Apple Menu and down to Log-Out
Log into the new User just Created
NOW - try iMovie Again
Does it work OK now - Yes old Event's and Project's do not come up BUT DOES IT WORK -
Can You import new Event's ?
Can You start a new Project ?
If so - then to 99.9% the culprit is the old iMovie Pref file in Your Old User Account Library / Preferences
Trash it when You've logged into Your old Account - and now start iMovie.
Does it work OK now ?

I have a lot of Apple Works 6 documents that I can not open now that I Have OS X 10.7.2 and iWork 4.1 (Pages'09). How can I open and convert those documents. I really need those documents.

Pages '09 (4.1) should have no problem opening your AW6 word processing documents.
You can open an AW6 wp file in Pages by -
• Do a Get Info on the AW6 file, then choose Pages from the Open With pulldown menu. Close the Get Info window, then double-click the AW6 file. If you want to do this to all of them, befoe closing the Get Info window click the "Change all" button just under the previous pulldown menu.
• Start up Pages, use the Open item in the File menu to navigate to and open the AW6 file.
• Drop the AW6 file onto the icon for Pages.

Thank you for the message. That also tells us that you're on a Mac. The error is a strange one, -1712 means "timeout" and it's hard to think what will cause that. Some more questions. Please answer them all, or let us know if any of the questions don't make sense.
1. Can you open the Adobe Reader app in the normal way? That is, from Applications?
2. Can you open other PDF files, from web pages rather than mail? Here is one to try out http://www.adobe.com/enterprise/pdfs/ebxml_faq.pdf - it isn't to read it's just a test. What happens?
3. What is your mail app? That is, at the time of this -1712 error, what app name is shown at the left of the menu bar?

First go to your Preferences for Photoshop Elements 9. In Windows go up to the Edit menu and choose Preferences. On a Mac go up to the Photoshop Elements menu and choose Preferences.
From Preferences choose General…. Look for where it says Allow Floating Documents in Full Edit Mode and check the box in front of it if it's not already checked. Click OK.
Now go up to the Window menu and choose Images>Float All in Windows.
That should show all your open photos as separate windows.

Well, I've got an oldish machine:
Celeron 400
192MB PC100
dual FA311's
Promise ATA133 controller
Anyway, I had a perfectly functioning arch system until I compiled the newest 2.6.5 kernel. I have arch running flawlessly on my laptop... even with the new kernel.
In any case, I did add devfs support, I did add automount devfs on boot, and I verified that fstab had entries for pts.
Yet when I boot, I get the classic "Unable to open an initial console" error.
BTW, I'm using lilo.
If you want to see any files, just ask and I'll post them.

I did do lilo afterwards (which is a PITA from the arch CD, I had to symlink /etc and /boot to the real hdd so that lilo would run and find everything)
I know it is running the new kernel...
My video card is older than the rest of the computer. It is an old ISA trident card from the early 90's. This is a file server, and I rarely actually sit down in front of it.
I added VGA and VESA support, as well as FB console support. No dice.

Power went out, can't open file I was working on earlier.

I use photoshop CS5 on windows 7.
Been working on a file with a few layers, then the power goes out so my computer "crashes". When I reboot my computer, I am unable to open the file I was working on earlier and instead, get the message "Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document." The file is still .psd and I don't have a preview for the file anymore:

Saving's not really a problem for me, since I ctrl+s every 5-10 mins or when I make a really important change.

Suddenly can't open ANY pages; Firefox works

When I try to open a page in Safari, it loads for a second, then stops loading. No pages from any site will load. Definitely connected, as if I go to Firefox, pages load fine.
Tried repairing permissions, clearing cache and history, even repairing disk (none needed). And of course tried rebooting. Any other thoughts appreciated!

Do you perhaps have Safari Tidy installed? I installed Safari 3 yesterday, and the behavior you describe happened for all Safari 3 pages. I removed the Safari Tidy folder from ~/library/InputManagers, and it all began working.

Unistalled reinstalled and can not open gmail internet explorer works fine. Have had issues ever since beta new improved system work it out firefox or I am done !

I can't open up a specific .psd file in Photoshop cs6.

     Well, there's a specific file I can't open. I've worked on it previously, but a week later, and it won't open. All of my other PS CS6 files are intact, and will open immediately. However, this one file takes so long to load (2+ hours) that I end up restarting my computer in order to work on all of my other things. The size isn't the issue, either; it's only 70 megabytes, as opposed to some of my more heavy-duty files that run upwards 200 megabytes.
     I'm thinking about opening it on another computer to see what happens, but I'm concerned about the fact that I can't open this particular file. I'm not sure if it's corrupted, based on the fact that it just sits on my computer and just tells me that it's loading.
     Is there something I can do to make it open, or modify the file? I've already tried defragging my computer and other things, and I'm at a loss here. I really don't want to start working on this from scratch, so I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Unfortunately, few have ever had much luck rescuing information from corrupted PSD files.
Do you have a backup?
