On other previous editions of Photoshop I could order the scanner to scan using "file", then "Import" on other versions, my scanner was listed. The scanner I have now is a wireless, does that make any difference. As I see it must be linked in some way. How do I do that? I am using PSE12.

This article contains the only thing that worked for me. I also had to sign out of iCloud and uninstall it. Then I had to delete all files and folders from all of those applications that were under Program Files, Program Files x86, Program Data and Users. My iPhone 4 will now sync with iTunes both in its USB-connected mini dock and over Wi-Fi. It's unfortunate (negligent programming on the part of Apple?) that the upgrade to iTunes 11 did not remove all of those files as part of the upgrade process.
I am having the same issue....Same address for years - same as USPS - I tried 5 times (3 macs and 2 iPhones) and now i have 5 CHARGES for 1.00 each on my credit card. I took the credit card info off so they don't charge me anymore. How can they charge me yet still not allow me to download free updates and say I have an invalid address? I'm sure I will spend weeks or months trying to get a credit out of these incompetent idiots.

My iTunes, after a short time, decides not to be able to recognize my devices, the only thing that fixes it is a re-install of itunes. it is getting irritating as this will be the 7th time i have had to do it. Any solutions?
The info that was on the old iPhone can only be retreived either by restoring from iCloud/iTunes back up or syncing from iCloud. You need to chek these places and if nothing is there then I'm sorry that data is gone and you will only have the back ups you see.

I shot video on a Panasonic P2 and I'm trying to import the MXF files to Final Cut Pro but when I try to import, the only thing that imports is a blurry image of each clip. There's no audio and no video...how can I import MXF files into Final Cut Pro?

So, my worst fear came true,
I've droped my ihpone in the toilet and it was off. It went off before was able to pick it up.
I've tried to dry it in rice and after two days it won't turn on , the only thing that does turn on is the flash.

At the present time, the only way to keep photos in iCloud indefinitely is to add them to a shared stream, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99. However, photos added to a shared stream will be a lower resolution than the original photos. These shared streams can be shared with your friends.
If you add the photos to your normal photo stream, they will be deleted from iCloud (and all other devices/computers) when you delete them from your phone. And although your backup includes camera roll photos, if you delete them from your phone and continue backing it up, the backup containing the deleted photos will be overwritten by one that doesn't and they will be lost.
This is likely to change in the fall with iOS 8 and its iCloud Photo Library feature (see http://www.apple.com/ios/ios8/photos/). -
Transfered my music & video library from my laptop to my PC. Syncing my ipod classic and my ipad without incident to the PC. But when I try to sync my ipod touch, the only thing that will sync is music that I have purchased on that PC. Any ideas?

Hello. I'm having a problem signing onto my iPad mini. When I went to sign on yesterday the number pad to sign on moved upward and now it is out of site. Now I can't sign on the only thing that shows is the Apple logo.
Have you tried to give your iPad a reset? Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if it helps.

Are you using mirroring or using airplay within iTunes? If you are truly mirroring then you can view anything that is displayed on your computer through Apple Tv

iMessages are backed up in the normal backup of your phone so it will be restored when you restore the backup.

3. Go to Tab “Erase” , choose Volume Format as “MAC OS Extended (Journaled), and click Erase, again if fails, skip it and go to 4
4. Same as step 3, but open the “Security Options....” and choose “Zero Out Data” before click Erase. It will take 1 to 2 hours to complete.
5. Eject your iPod and do a Reset
6. Open the iTunes 7 and click “Restore”
For Window computer
Go to folder “My Computer”
Hope you can see your iPod there and right click on the iPod
Choose “Format”. Ensure the settings are at “Default” and that “Quick Format” is not checked
Now select “Format”
Eject your iPod and do a Reset
Open the iTunes 7 and click “Restore”
In case you do not manage to do a “Format” on a window computer, try to use some 3rd party disk utility software, e.g.“HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool”.

C. Windows users having trouble with their iPods should locate a Mac user. In many cases when an iPod won't show up on a PC that it will show up on the Mac. Then it can be restored. b. It is not a difficult issue for a Mac user to find a window base computer, for a PC user, if they can’t find any Mac user, they can go to a nearest Apple Shop for a favor.
c. You may need to switch around the PC and Mac, try to do several attempts between “Format” and “Restore”

A. Diagnostic mode solution
If you have tried trouble shooting your iPod to no avail after all the steps above, chances are your iPod has a hardware problem. The iPod's built-in Diagnostic Mode is a quick and easy way to determine if you have a "bad" iPod.
You need to restart your iPod before putting it into Diagnostic Mode. Check that your hold switch is off by sliding the switch away from the headphone jack. Toggle it on and off to be safe.
Press and hold the following combination of buttons simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds to reset the iPod.
iPod 1G to 3G: "Menu" and "Play/Pause"
iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): "Menu" and "Select"
The Apple logo will appear and you should feel the hard drive spinning up. Press and hold the following sequence of buttons:
iPod 1G to 3G: "REW", "FFW" and "Select"
iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): "Back" and "Select"
You will hear an audible chirp sound (3G models and higher) and the Apple logo should appear backwards. You are now in Diagnostic Mode. Navigate the list of tests using "REW" and "FFW". Try to do the 5in1, HDD R/W and HDD scan tests. Some successful cases have been reported after the running the few tests under the Diagnostic mode. In case it does not work in your case, and the scan tests reports show some errors then it proves your iPod has a hardware problem and it needs a repairing service.
B. Format your iPod with a start disk
I have not tried this solution myself, I heard that there were few successful cases that the users managed to get their iPod (you must put your iPod in disk mode before connecting with a computer) mounted by the computer, which was booted by a system startup disk. For Mac, you can use the Disk Utility (on the Tiger OS system disk), for PC user, you can use the window OS system disk. Try to find a way to reformat your iPod, again it does not matter which format (FAT32, NTFS or HFS+) you choose, the key is to erase the corrupted system files on the iPod. Then eject your iPod and do a Reset to switch out from Disk Mode. Reboot your computer at the normal way, connect your iPod back with it, open the iPod updater, and hopefully your iPod will appear there for the Restore.
If none of these steps address the issue, your iPod may need to be repaired.

In Hong Kong there are some electronic shops offering an iPod service for Sad iPod, the first thing they do is to open up the iPod’s case and disconnecting the battery and the Hard Drive from the main board of the iPod. Wait for 5-10 minutes and reconnecting them back. The reason behind which I can think of is to do a fully reset of a processor of the iPod. Have I tried these myself? No, I am afraid to do it myself as I am squeamish about tinkering inside electronic devices, I have few experiences that either I broke the parts (which are normally tiny or fragile) or failed to put the parts back to the main case. When I'm presenting using an external projector, the only thing that shows up on the view screen is my desktop screen. It will also display a powerpoint file, but only in slide show mode. No other files (word, excel, etc) or safari will display. How can I get what I see on my computer screen to show up on the external screen?

You can either set it to "mirror" or arrange the monitors side by side. Then when you want to show the working window on your projector slide it in the direction you set as the second monitor. Many teachers will do this to show a video or powerpoint to their class while working on another document or answering emails. -
I just got my new i phone 5 s and did all the syncing and backing up for my old iphone 4s and set my 5 up and synced it on itunes. It synced evrything but the contacts and other minor things. those were the only things that really transfered. My apps and all my music did not. Tthe thing is when i just went to go manually start dowmloading a few of the songs that i knew i already bought , itunes is making me pay forthem again. Its not saying instal like it usuall does when you go download something aleady purchased on your itunes account. I think or thought it might have something to do with the fact that i just changed my apple id name right before i got my new phine but my apps all re-downloaded (manually-no syncing) without making me pay for them again. i dont want to have to purchase allllll my songs again. No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that. -
iPhoto suddenly doesn't seem to recognize my camera, and essentially freezes. The only thing that makes sense is that another person in my house imported using a different camera and that changed things somehow. Ideas?

The camera is a Panasonic Lumix. I don't have a USB card reader. I did try and different port although not a different cable.
I did remember one additional thing. I plugged my camera in at work to a PC. It was after that, when I came home, that the iPhoto wasn't working when I connected my camera to our iMac/iPhoto at home. I think this may have caused the problem.
