Can I parse an ASCII charater variable that is included in the data string from my device?

Here is the RS232 data from the device.
“R,2.306 MPa a,0.011 MPa/s,97.000 kPa a”
OR
“NR,2.306 MPa a,0.011 MPa/s,97.000 kPa a”
Channels 0,1, and 2 take care of the 3 numerical values and write them to a file no prob..
The R and NR represent the Ready Status of the device, is there a way to write these characters into the same file?
Any help is appreciated, I'm fairly green when it comes to DASYLab.

Here are a couple screen shots of trying to read just the one channel using the a\x2c measurement data format.
As shown in the RS232 monitor, it looks like its ignoring the text characters i need, and picking up the values that are already being written to a file in my original worksheet.
I also messed around with your suggestion to store it as a global string and use the action module to write it to my txt file. I'm not too sure I was doing this correctly, how are the RS232 Input, action, and write modules linked to each other in order to get this accomplished?
I was able to write the string to the header of my file, but thats just a one-time write..

1. I'm using a VBScript that get the Exit Code of an application, and create the environment variable "iReturn" with the value of the exit code. (This is working)
2. I add this variable in the CustomSettings.ini, like this "iReturn=%iReturn%
3. After the step that I run the VBScript I put the "Gather" step to get the variables, but looking in the BDD.log the iReturn variable appears the same as the CustomSettings.ini configuration "iReturn=%iReturn%". (But, if I put a "Restart

Question: How can I update the environment variable of Windonws XP to use in the Task Sequence without restart.

How can I configure autologon in SCCM 2012 (if have no way to update withou restart computer).
I already tried the autologon with registry settings and a specific user, If I starts the process with this user works, but If I starts the process with other user, after the autologon the process doesnt continue, I have to do logoff and login with the user
that I started the process.
PS: All this steps have to be executed before the WinPE phase.

Environment variables must be explicitly set every time a system boots so unless you have a process to repopulate it after the reboot, it won't persist automatically.
Why not store the value in a task sequence variable so that it persists after a reboot?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

If you are referring to adding a secondary account, to a single device, then you can do this at system preferences >mail, contacts & calendars.

How can I rollback from Yosemite to Lion? I need to do this as I purchased a newer iMac and I have the old 17" iMac HD that I want to get the data migrated from. When I start the Migration Assistant it tells me that the OS X version is too old. Help!

I have purchased a newer mid 2011 iMac for my wife to replace her dead 17"iMac from 2006. It was running Snow Leopard. The new iMac has Yosemite and when I go into Migration Assistant it tells me that the OS X is too old, implying that I cannot get the data from it. How can I migrate this data to the new iMac? I have the hard drive removed and in an external enclosure connected to the new iMac.

Since any OS since Lion does not support Rosetta or PPC applications, you may want to check her apps for compatibility.
Have you tried to follow all the instructions here:

Also, as a general note: when you got the 2011 iMac did it have the original OS installed as required by the SLA? The seller is to remove any OS version obtained at the app store since the license is not transferable - did he do that? If not, as the OS download is tied to the Apple ID used to obtain it, you will not be able to update apps or reinstall the OS, so may I suggest you do this step now before you start porting over all the files. Use Internet Recovery: Hold Command + Option + R while restarting/rebooting until you see a spinning globe and a progress bar. After 2 - 10 minutes, you'll be connected to Apple's servers and see a Utilities window. Go to Disk Utility and choose erase your drive; once finished, go back to the window and choose to reinstall OS X. This should install a fresh original OS version which you can then update and tie to your wife's Apple ID.

SO, do I delete the app off of both the old 3g phone AND the imac, then reinstall on ONLY the imac, then re sync? I realize this is kind of roundabout, but the issue I ran into was too much stuff on my old 8GB 3G, and I was stuck on iOS3 FOREVER (couldn't upgrade to iOS4) soooo, I deleted a whole bunch of piddly apps from the phone ONLY, which then allowed me to update to iOS4 (on the 3G). Then, I could sync (which I did, but obviously not everything transferred, b/c when I synced the new 32 GB iphone 4, there are particular apps {doodle buddy and groove, my tap fish...} that are missing the in app purchases, but these are still on the old 8GB 3G). I can write a data array(2D)into a table of my SQL Server Database. The data array was writen to a column with image type. I know a data array is transformed a binary string when writing into database, but I dont know how to get the data array when I fetch the binary string from database.
My question is:
How to transform the binary string into data array? which vi's should I use? I have tried unflatten from string but failed.
Any response is appriciated.

In order to use Unflatten from string you first need to Flatten it
before writing it. Also depending on the database driver, the returned
data may actually not be binary but Hexadecimal encoded ASCII which you
would first have to decode to binray.

1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.

No, it doesn't store a clone. You would have needed to make one with either SuperDuper or CarbonCopy Cloner.
If the files were in your ~/Library folder then they may still be there. As I said, you can access it by
going to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library". I wouldn't think an upgrade would overwrite anything in ~/Library.
If you have a Time Machine backup you may also be able to use that to retrieve them.

No, they are tied to the ID that purchased them, and cannot be transferred to anyone else.

You can't. But if you backed up your computer prior to wiping it out, you should be able to restore your iTunes library, contacts, photos, etc. from that backup. Once you do, you can set the phone up again and just sync everything from your library back to it.
If you didn't back the computer up either, you can transfer items purchased on the phone into iTunes, and if you set up at least one contact in whatever application you sync your contacts to on the computer, it will offer to merge the address books on the first sync, saving those. Any media you'd acquired from sources other than the iTunes store will have to be re-downloaded from the source or re-ripped.
The iPhone is NOT a backup device.

If the applications were originally drag and drop installations you can simply drag them to the trash and empty. If they were installed by an installer there should be an uninstaller included. If you're not sure you should check with the software developer for instructions. In this case Google can be your friend.
