I want a white one but because it is such a high gig I dont want to buy a new one but I was wondering if I could take it to a aple store and put the white screen on?

They should replace the whole device, not just the screen. If they have it in stock, you will walk out with in in minutes. If you are not under warranty there is a charge.

Better learn how to work around its quirks and learn to tolerate it. It is a losing battle to go back to 6. Not only is is legally impossible, the vast amount of sold new devices with it and the downloads thus far make it unfeasible. And as time progresses, more and more apps will be iOS-7-only.

If it's an iPhone 4, it's actually quite easy. If it's a 3G or 3Gs, it's a lot more difficult (if not impossible).
As I mentioned, I've seen various other companies that make and sell them. Since it's a component not approved or endorsed by Apple, i'm hesitant to post the link here. Spend a few minutes Googling "replacement iphone back" and similar searches, and you'll find what you are looking for.

You can see about purchasing an out of warranty replacement if it qualifies. They certainly will not give you a replacement, since it is more than likely user damage.

Get carbon copy cloner to make an exact copy of your old HD to the New one...

The very first MacBook 1,1s can actually run 10.6, which is updatable to 10.6.8, but will only run in 32 bit mode on yours.

We took my daughters broken iphone 4 into an apple store and was told that the damage was not covered under warrany but for only £120 we could get a replacement iphone 4
the problem being when they helped her set up the replacement Iphone 4 they installed os7 as the opperating system rendering the phone useless as it now runs slow, freezes & cannot use messaging at all etc
we went back to the store hoping they could HELP & were told that the iphone should not have these problems & to do a full restore; as it turns out the processing chip cant handle os7 which becomes Very apparent & now the store staff are suggesting that they will upgrade the phone to something newer & give us a £60 discout towards a new phone for something we paid them £120 48hr earlier.
Its not the Apple experience we have all come to love can anyone suggest how we might restore the phone to an earlier opperating system

because sometimes they are prevented from sharing such information? they don't know? could even require sending it 'out' to a repair center.
though with most electronics, there is only so much that can be swapped out, and even then a new unit and let engineering see what and why.... and maybe there is a defective chip, sensor or even shorting
