No. You would have to authorize that iPhone with your Mac which would delete your iTunes Library that's linked to your Apple ID

I installed the latest software update on our Apple TV - this allows us to access VIMEO. However, although we can still play music from an iPhone 4 we can no longer play purchased tv shows - unless the buffering process has been extended to be glacially slow! It just shows it is loading but under the previous software release a show would start in a minute or two, nothing is happening afer 4 or 5 minutes with this one.

Can't play music from my music list?

I just bought an iPhone 4S. I set it up, restored backup and synced it (used to own a 3GS) everything is fine but for some reason I can't play music from it. It says Now Playing and there's a little icon in the corner but its not playing. Even the little bar at the top that has that little dot that moves along when a song is played isn't even moving. I know I have sound because I've played videos for my little guy and I've previewed songs from iTunes. Could I have done something wrong when I was syncing? Thanks!

I've copied all of my iTune's library music from my PC to my new mac. Now how can my I get my iPhone to sync with this new iTunes?

I did the "home sharing" to get all of my music from my PC to my new mac (as told by a apple worker). Then I copied all of my music and playlists from the shared library to my actually itunes library. Now I don't know how to sync my iPhone up to this computer..? I've tried and it'll say it's syncing but the new song i bought to test it out won't show up on my phone.

When you buy your new iMac you will be able to have the installation process transfer all your applications, data (including music, pictures, documents, etc) and settings to your new computer. In the past that was done via Firewire. I'm not entirely sure of the process with the new iMacs that don't have firewire. I think it can be done via ethernet and probably via tha thunderbolt cord using a firewire adapter but you'll want to check that out.
    With the your new computer properly connected to your old computer, the initial booting of the new computer will include the ability to move everything over.
    If for some reason you don't want to do that (smart if you have some horrible software issue that is causing problems) you can connect your old computer to the new one and start it in Target Disk mode where it will be seen as a hard drive. You can then manually copy over all your music and import that into iTunes (and any other data you want).
    Somebody here will surely point you to directions for connecting an older iMac with no Thunderbolt to a newer iMac with no Firewire.

Should be able to go into your sound preferences and choose your output device, you can also try downloading Airfoil and try that, it's a pretty cool app.

How can I play music from the icloud using apple tv (2) controled by remote app on iphone so the TV is switched off but stereo on

I was blown away when I started using the new remote app with Apple tv to play music from my iMac on my best music speakers in the living room!!! However there are still 2 things required to make things ultra simple:
1 Not to have my iMac switched on to have to stream music to the Apple tv (I've now started using iTunes Match which has almost fixed this one)
2 Not have to have my TV switched on to control my amplifier through the apple tv. (I can do this using the remote app on the iphone but only for music streaming from my iMac it wont work for music I have in iCloud, apart from music now playing. I can't search/browse any other music)
If this is fixed it will be absolutely awesome!!! As my apple tv will replace all the HIFI separates apart form my amplifier and I can control what music my amp plays using the best user interface in the world my iphone/ipad

Hi, I don't have this bug. I can play music through my apple tv with the TV switched off and use the apple remote app to control the apple tv.
My problem involves:
icloud music ----> broadband router ----> apple tv ---->music amplifier. Using the remote app on the iphone to control whats playing. This almost works but in the remote app you can only see the currently playing song, you can't search/browse your music in the icloud (itunes match).
What does work is:
iMac-itunes music ----> apple tv ---->music amplifier controlled by the remote app in the iphone with teh tv off. I can view my itunes library with the tv off using the iphone remote app. I would like to do this but using my music in iCloud. That would be awesome!!!
