Can I play PS3 games on my MacBook Pro?

Can I play PS3 games on my MacBook Pro? I want to run PS3 games on a MBP. I have Medal of Honor and  that's the only game I like on the PS3. And does anyone know any good shooting games like shadowgun deadzone. Something offline and that's pretty fun. Someone help me pls.

The XBox uses three PowerPC processors that run very very hot and need constant power and Mac's use Intel processors that run very cool in comparison.
It would take a complete rewrite of the entire games code to make it work on a Mac.
So in short, it can't be done. Sorry.
But I'll clue you 2 free 3D games you can run on your MacBook Pro
Cube 2 Suaerbraten and Nexiuz Classic.  That should help get you by.

I m a game lover but since i've macbook pro,i haven't played any game on my macbook...so guys please tell me how can i install windows games to my macbook pro.

As eww said, that computer isn't specifically made for gaming. To get advanced graphics in a game, your computer needs what is called a "discrete" graphics processor, or GPU. This means a seperate chip that processes graphics. In Apple laptops, these are only found in the 15" and 17" MacBook Pro. It is not common to find these in laptops in general that are not expensive and high-end. What you have in yours is an "on-board" or "integrated" GPU. This means that graphics processing is done by a small portion of your main processor (the Intel i5 board). This takes away a portion of primary prossessing and dedicates it to graphics. This works perfectly find in most scenarios, but video rendering, gaming, and 3-D graphics tend to suffer. Most high-end, modern games require discrete GPUs to run at full quality these days.
As far as running Windows 7 and Mac OS both, yes you absolutely can. If you install Windows 7 via Bootcamp (this would require you to have a Windows 7 CD), when you turn on your computer it will default to opening up in Mac OS. But if you hold down the Option key (bottom of the keyboard next to the Command button) while the computer is booting up, it will ask you if you want to open Windows or Mac OS.

  • Can i play The sims 4 on macbook pro 13 inch

i'm going to buy a new macbook 13 inch with retina display, and i really want to know can i play this game on macbook? and how about the new macbook? can it play the sims4?

    Mik3OH,
if the fans go like crazy, it’s because of the heat that results from running compute-intensive software. The fans activate to expel the heat from within your MacBook Pro, so that your electronic components don’t get cooked. If you want to run demanding software, then you absolutely do not want to prevent your fans from running — unless frying your MacBook Pro is your goal. You’ll also want to make sure that when you run such software, that nothing blocks the airflow into and out of the MacBook Pro — so play such games with your MacBook Pro on a hard flat surface, rather than on a soft cushioned surface.

Yes, but they won't be 3D.

  • Can I play PC games on a MacBook?

I want to buy a game but couldn't find a specific Apple Mac version. Does anyone know if PC games work on MacBook Pro?

Only if you install a version of Windows on your Mac. You can do that with Boot Camp assistant, into its own partition, or with a virtual machine software program.

  • Can I play HD video on my macbook pro?, Can I play HD video on my macbook pro?

    Hi
I am curious about why I am unable to play HD videos on my Macbook Pro? If i am using an HDMI cable to an HD TV, then I can't play any HD videos?
Please help (my computer knowledge is limited).
    Curious learner

The short answer is you should be able to, but tell us what happens when you try and we'll try to help.
Can you play the video on your Mac's screen (not connected to the TV)?
When you connect to the TV with HDMI, do you see a desktop appear? (Before you start the movie.)
What kind of movie are you playing, and from where?

  • Where can i get top games for my macbook pro retina

is there anyway i can get top games that can be played on my macbook apart from those from the app world
or anything i can purchase that can help

Apple has installed a security feature called Gatekeeper that restricts software being installed from only Apple developers, so sometimes you will need to bypass this by Control key or right mouse clicking on the installer or program and selecting "Open".
A warning comes up about software from unsigned developers, but if you trust the source of the software then allow it.
Also because Apple releases a new OS X version every year, it's rather difficult for developers to keep up especially with very complex games.
So if you see a "download" and go ahead and purchase it, you might find out later it can't run on your machine.
So do your home work and ask around to make sure the game/software your installing is going to be compatile with your OS X version.
Since Apple just released a update for 10.8, it might have broken some games, so check to see if their are any compliants from other users before installing.
Just remmeber if Apple releases another OS X upgrade, that it very well can break your presently installed games.
It's up to the developer if they are going to bother to make a update, they may decide they spent enough money and can't afford to upgrade the program for the newer OS X verison.
So you will have to keep this in mind BEFORE you upgrade OS X, to wait for all your third party software to have updated versions before you upgrade OS X to a new version.
In my opinion, Apple does everything possible to make life hard for Mac users, especially gamers.
I think our much better off on a Windows 3D tower where Windows remains supported for about 10 years just like it is and you can find video cards everywhere.
    Good Luck

  • Can i play Diablo III in a macbook pro 13 pol.: 2,9 GHz ?

I want to buy a new macbook pro 13 pol.: 2,9 GHz
I can play Diablo III in full definition with this macbook pro??
Intel Core i7 dual core, 2,9GHz
    Turbo Boost até 3,6GHz
    8GB e 1600MHz
    750GB, 5400 rpm1
    Intel HD 4000
    Thank you!

the intel hd 4000 graphics card will not be able to run it on max.
This graph stats a Radeon HD 6670 DDr3 is need to get ~50fps which is good on the game.
The Radeon HD 6670 DDR3 is about double the power of the HD intel 4000 according to this graph.

  • This is the same question I've asked 3x in 24 hours, but it doesn't appear in the listing. Maybe I need help in phrasing questions?:)Q. why can I play some DVDs on my MacBook Pro but not on desk top Apple (they're both -1 year olds

    Hi
This'll be my third attempt in 24 hrs to ask the same question. maybe I need guidance on phrasing questions?:)
    Q. Why can I always play DVDs on my MacBook Pro but not always on my desk top Apple. They're both less than  year old. The desk top sometimes displays a message that says I have to change regions (from Australia to South America...doh...)

    Region Code 4:
Mexico, Central and South America, and the South Pacific.
Includes Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, New Guinea, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela
Apparently my first response was off in left field.  The DVD player has its own code.  My recommendation is to change the code when it asks.  It is possible that the disks that play correctly are region-free and the ones that don't have a region code.  If this does not work, you still have four more changes available; you won't be stuck with the new code.

  • Can i play a cd on my macBook Pro version 10.7.5?

I downloaded photo's on a cd and now I am trying to bring them up via the DVD player on my MacBook Pro, OSX Lion, but it won't open.

make sure the CD you're trying to read is one that is compatible w/ your model of mac. if it isn't that's why it won't open it.
you can go to the apple support site: apple.com/support and find tech specs to see what CD/DVD work with your mac

I have purchased a season pass of The Walking Dead Season 2, and the last two episodes (9 & 10) will not play on my computer because of an error that says "not an authorized HDCP display."

I am not trying to play this on an external monitor. I am just trying to play it on my Macbook. Help? I am even willing to play it in SD, but I don't see an option for versions, as it seems there used to be.

i rebooted the firewall and it worked.
