Can I print an address on an envelope directly from a Pages doc (like Word), if so, how?

I have recently moved from a PC (using MS Office) to an iMac. I have just drafted my first business letter, and want to print the recipient's address on an envelope using the letter as the source of the address. In Word, that's simple and doesn't require retyping the address, but I can't find any Help instruction on how to do it in Pages 09. Can anyone help, please?

I agree with the principle of leaning to simplifying applications, even if it means occassionally an extra step for extra functions, but don't think this should be an extra function, being something people do a lot.
It would be a relatively simple bit of code to perform this as the user expects. They have already set up all the merges for the address and could easily let you declare This Selection is the Address to Print.
Pages has always fascinated me as an example of good design in so many areas but equally bad design in so many others. It doesn't seem that hard to have tackled the bad decisions and fixed them, it has been around over 8 years now.
Apple has kept up basic maintainance and tacked on some less than optimal features, like ePub export, but some changes lately are bizarrely awful and just degrade the software. I do stuff sometimes and say wow that went well, then in the next step get bogged down trying to fix some ludicrously bizarre behavior that spins me off for hours from my work. There are features that I know but are so convoluted that I have to consult all my notes, sometimes unsuccessfully, and I think I know it pretty darn well.
Recently I put together a set of City eGuides. After an initial set of experiments, I actually produced my first in less than a day which is impressive, but it left me struggling with a few particularly intractable problems which were only corrected with rough patches, and I still don't follow why they worked, and are very hard to reproduce.
I am still struggling to turn this into a reliable and workable template and take it to the next level in ePub and in iBooks Author. Most of the problems really should never have been allowed to ship let alone still be in the software almost a decade after launch.
Over 8 years and still a diamond in the rough! But still... it is a diamond.

It depends upon the capabilities of your printer. If you have an HP printer with a photo tray then the Photo app will print to whatever size you load in to that tray.

My printer preference from my pc is set to print in black and white from my computer. How do I set the same black and white settings from the HP Photosmart Plus printer, when printing directly from Apps on Home screen?

At this time there is not an option or a default to set black and white only from the front panel of the printer. Some applications may give you settings in the Application itself for color or black and white but that would be the only place to change the color of the document/photo for your print jobs.

I've just discovered what seems like a ridiculous limitation of Address Book. I am having a hard time believing this is so, and am sure there must be a way to do this.
I need to print out an address card, as it appears in the Address Book. I want all info, including the notes.
I can't find a way to do it. I figured out I can print a list, an envelope layout, an address card (with some info), and perhaps one other option.
Would someone kindly tell me how I can simply print an address book card? It won't even let me select a whole card for copy/paste to elsewhere for printing.
For now I have resorted to copying the card from Google Contacts, to which I have Address Book sync'ed. I then pasted that data into a new email and printed the email (in Mail). I could have used Word, etc..
Is there an easier way? If not from within Mac, is there a small app that makes the data in my address book more readily converted into ink and paper? I have looked on Google for the past 25 minutes and found nothing.
Any tips greatly appreciated.

I had not realised the List style would allow all that.
This works. The layout is not ideal because it puts everything into columns across the page, but it is better than nothing... and easier than going via my Google Contacts sync.
Are these styles editable? Is there a template hiding away somewhere in the far reaches of my OS that I could fiddle with to change the layout or make a new style? Would love to know.

How can I print a pdf in the actual size with a page border? (2 pages per sheet preferred)
I usually print pdfs of books at a copy shop and they turn out fine.
The problem comes when I try to print the same books at home.
I use Adobe Acrobat X with the same settings: "multiple pages per sheet" (2x1) and page border. But the pages are slightly shrunken when printed. I think this is because my printer can't print as closely to the margins. Still, two pages should be able to fit on one sheet in actual size. Are there any layout settings that I can play with to find a better fit, besides portrait and landscape?
If I select page scaling "none," I'm able to print the pdf in actual size, one page per sheet. But there's no option to add a page border.

I have a test with some questions (multiple choice, FIB, matching, etc). I have just one button to submit all the answers, and after submiting the student can see his score and review the test to know where he failed. He can't answer again. However, he can change the answer multiple times before submiting.
"if i turn on success/failure captions the student will see them while answering" - before submitting
"if i turn them off he wont know what's the right answer" - after submitting
My results page is the default. I didn't use any variable. When i go to the results page after reviewing the test all the entry boxes are "wrong".

I'd like to print the next (up an coming) weeks of my calendar from iCal in month view - The idea is to get this information on 1 sheet of A4.. just like the month view.. but as far as i can see the month view only gives you current or next complete months.. The ONLY time this give me the view I want is in the first week of any given month.. the rest of the month part of the print is in the past and not enough of the up and coming weeks are shown?
I can believe the app won't allow you to do this .. am I missing an easy fix.. or has it been rectified in Yosemite .. I'm using mavericks 10.9.5.

You have old computers authorized that you are no longer using more than likely.

Purchases you make from the iTunes Store can be played on up to five computers that you authorize using your iTunes Store account name and password. To authorize or deauthorize a single computer, choose Authorize This Computer or Deauthorize This Computer from the Store menu. If all five authorizations are being used, you can deauthorize all your computers at one time by choosing View My Account from the Store menu and selecting Deauthorize All.
You can then restart the authorization process with each current device.

The quickest way to do this (tested with OS 10.8.2, MS Word 2011) is in one line:
tell application "Microsoft Word" to close every document whose name begins with "book"
The reason why your script doesn't work is that you aren't specifying to Word which document you want it to close.
So, changing one line ought to do it:
close document incrementvalue -- instead of "close document"
But... when you close a document, you change the document count. Document 2 becomes document 1, document 3 becomes document 2 etc. So eventually you'd get a message saying "The object you are trying to access doesn't exist".
Because of this, if you want to do it in a repeat loop, you have to work backwards:
tell application "Microsoft Word"
set doc_count to count documents
repeat with x from doc_count to 1 by -1
if name of document x begins with "book" then close document x
end repeat
end tell

I used to be able to print addresses from my contact list on envelopes now I can't even print the addresses in a group on one page, just their phone numbers appear. I just changed over to icloud. Is this the problem?

I also need to know how to properly print business envelopes from Contact. The MacWorld page online on this is no help.
I am getting: 1. The first one-third of my return address cut off (too far left, and even when moved right still cut off)
2. The person's name in the address appearing on Line 2 Under the business name rather than on Line 1 above it.

Printing a phone book (or an 'Address Book" as ontacts Help refers to it) is done directly from Contacts, and does not involve Pages. Details are available in Contacts' Help files. Try searching 'print phone book' (without the quotes).

Can't print directly from web pages anymore-what setting needs to be changed?

After doing a recent update for the printer, the program jammed up and I was forced to uninstall then reinstall the printer. Since doing so, whenever I want to print a doc from a website, I right click to print, and a save page comes up-forcing me to save the document somewhere before I can print. I save to desktop, then can print from there. This is an extra step I never had to do before-could always print from the page. What setting do I need to change?

It sounds like the printer is not the "Default".
Print to Printer without First Saving to File
Not nearly as common, slightly possible, is that your browser is not picking up a properly set default printer setting.

"Create Comment Summary" not showing in Pro 10.1.7?? How can I print document and comments with connector lines on single page?

Adobe's instructions for Acrobat X Pro say that to print the document with connector lines on the same page, I should go from the menu to "Print With Comments Summary." I'm using version 10.1.7 and that option doesn't show up. My menu bar looks like this:

And if I go to Commenting under Preferences I get this:
I don't see any of the comment printing options Adobe refers to in their instructions. Am I looking in the wrong place for the option to print comments on the same page as the document? Or is there some reason this is not available?

With this call:

You're trying to write to the PFI lines, which are part of port 1. Only the 8 lines on port 0 "Dev1/port0" support clocked/correlated DIO, port 1 only supports static/SW timed DIO (which is what you are using) and counter timer opperations. To do buffered output, check out the Cont Write Dig Port-Ext Clk shipping example at:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\DAQmx ANSI C\Digital\Generate Values\Cont Write Dig Port-Ext Clk
when you use this, you'll need to specify an external clock - M-Series DIO does not have its own timing engine so it has to get its clock signal from somewhere else. Most just use an onboard counter to generate a clocking signal, so the Dig-Pulse Train Cont example under counters can be combined with this.
Most of this is covered in the M-Series user manual, though I realize its not exactly lite reading
