Can I print wirelessly using my iPhone to a printer that I have connected to a time capsule?

I have a printer connected via USB port on the time capsule, and I have the printer shared throughout the network. The printer is not an ePrint model. Since the printer is in my network, can I use my iphone or ipad to print documents?

If you have a Mac running on the network, try Printopia.
There is a free trial, so you will know if will work before you buy. There are other apps that can do this as well, but I cannot offer a specific recommendation.

Don't know if you ever figured this out but here is the answer...
I just spent the last two days on this and have finally sorted it out. It actually isn't that hard to do but for some reason, no one has consolidated the information in one place!
First and foremost, make sure that you have all the latest and greatest firmware updates for your printer, your computer and your mobile devices.
Next, you need to connect your printer to your network via an ethernet cable, this is the only way to get in to the printer softare to configure it for your wireless network.
Navigate the printer menus on the keypad to Reports>Config Report and print this report. It will provide you with the IP adress and IPv4 address for the printer.
With the printer connected to your network and powered on, point your browser to the IP address of the printer. If this doen't work (it didn't for me) use the IPv4 address.
This will open the configuration panel for the printer and will let you configure the wireless for the printer so that it can join your wireless network. You will see various tabs across the top. Select network. Then along the left you will see wireless. Choose that. Now you should see a list of wireless networks available including your very own home network. Choose that one, enter your password and hit apply.
Disconnect the ethernet cable and you should be ready to Airprint from all devices. This worked for me, I can't imagine it won't work for all...then again...

Iphone will not connect to wi-fi now that I have hooked up my Time Capsule

I finally got my Time Capsule hoohed up and working and now my iphone and both my ipods will not connect to the wi-fi network. I had airport express before I got the Time Capsule and the wi-fi worked fine with my iphone and both ipods. How can I fix this. Can I use my old airport express and the Time Capsule? How?

The TC should work..
You need to lock the wireless channel for 2.4ghz band.
To do that log into the TC.. (airport utility, manual setup, airport, wireless page)
Change wireless name to short, no spaces, pure alphanumeric.
In advanced change the 5ghz name to different one.. but same rules. eg TC5ghz.. (name for 2.4ghz can be TC24ghz)
Lock wireless to a/n - b/g
Lock the wireless channels for 2.4ghz.. (5ghz also but less of an issue, the iphone and ipods use 2.4ghz).
Select one of the 3, non overlapping channels, 1, 6, 11
Start with 6, if that fails, try 11 and lastly 6.
Set security to either WPA or better WPA2 Personal. Passkey should be same rules as above.. but 8-12 characters, non-dictionary.
You can plug the airport express into the TC, but IMHO better getting the TC working.

How can I transfer my iTunes library from my laptop to an external drive connected to my time capsule? I want to be able to access the music from several devices by wifi and am a newbie to network stuff.

I have a 1TB Time capsule, I would like to attach a USB drive to the Time Capsule and transfer my iTunes Library to it so I can run itunes from wifi. I am new to network stuff. My current iTunes library is on a USB drive velcro'd to the back of my Macbook - rather inconvenient, the USB port is loose. The music files are external but the library files with ratings/play counts are in the iTunes folder. Advice please? Be gentle and assume I know nothing please!

Setting it up the way you have with the library on the internal and just the media on the external makes it a lot more tricky to move things around. If it was all on the external you could do in the time it takes to copy the files plus about 20 seconds.
You can use the same library file, except in that file are references pointing to the media files on the USB drive. Are you planning on doing this with the same USB drive that you are using right now>? It is possible it may work. If the configuration is that you have SongA on USB drive Fred, as long as the drive remains named Fred then you should be able to move it to a different point of attachment. If you are planning on using a different USb drive you can try renaming the new USB drive to the exact same name as the existing one and maybe trick iTunes into not noticing the difference.
This is where having as much detail as possible when posting an issue is helpful so we don't have to consider every possible configuration.

HT1218 iPhone 4s connectivity issues with Time Capsule 4th generation

Out of nowhere, my iPhone 4s all of a sudden quit connecting to my Time Capsule's wifi. Have never had any problems until yesterday. Have read multiple forums that say reset your iphone, turn wifi off and then on, forget and then resgn into network, change the channels on wifi from automatic to different channels. Changing the channels worked for about an hour and then I was back to square one. Everything else failed. iMac and MacBook connect without any problems or delays at all. PLEASE HELP?!?!

Your TC replaced what?
Are you extending on 2.4ghz?
There is a chance the TC is lower than the router it replaced.. you may need to get the second Express closer to get a good signal so it can extend properly.. the idea is to have the express in about the centre of signal strength not distance.. use your laptop if you have one with a wireless analysis program like istumbler to find the signal at the TC from say 3M.. at the express 1 and at the express 2. Work out if the signal is too low and move them as appropiate.
Or.. think the arrangement and use something like EOP adapters direct to your office.. they can work hugely better than wireless. (or just as badly.. depending on the house wiring).

Can not connect to airport time capsule

Here is what the current situation is:
I can setup the Airport Time Capsule (3GB) form my Mavericks 10.9.4 MacBookAir 2013 using AirPort Utility. However, after setup, I cannot connect to the time capsule using many of the standard ways. Trying both connections of wired and wireless. I have tried:
1. Connecting to the Time Capsule using Time Machine (which I can see the Time Capsule Drive as a selection), and I always get the error "There was a problem connecting to the server “XXXXXX”. Check the server name or IP address, and then try again. If you continue to have problems, contact your system administrator."
2. Using Finder side bar under Shared (which I can see the Time Capsule Drive as a selection), clicking on it, always says Connection Failed at the top of the window. Clicking the Connect As... button results in the same error message as #1.
3. Using Finder, connect to server option, entering the name of the time capsule with .local at the end, and using the ip address and it always returns the same error as #1.
Trying option #3 and looking at the Console for error messages always produces these two messages:
Date Time NetAuthSysAgent[1093]: ERROR: AFP_CreateSessionRef - AFPLoadModules failed 22
Date Time NetAuthSysAgent[1154]: NewAFPLoadModules: bootstrap_look_up failed Unknown service name
Any help would be much appreciated. My computer has security scripts run on it that my company wrote inhouse and not sure exactly what is locked down and not locked down. Thank you.

Using method 3.. try
SMB://TCname.local or SMB://TCIPaddress (I hope obvious you replace with actual name or actual IP).. Please use names that are SMB compatible.. ie short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
No luck try CIFS:// etc.
This forces it to SMB1.
No luck ping the TC in terminal.. does it respond??
Do you have ipv6 set ot link-local only in the computer??
Your company may have locked you out.. I would not be surprised. Are you running a vpn on the computer whilst trying to connect to the local network. That will fail and the ping test will show you why.

Interesting.. it is blocking AFP perhaps. AFP modules refused.. I do not know the errors well enough but if AFP fails there is a good chance TM won't work. So even if you can mount and access the disk I am not sure you can do TM backups.

Worked fine last week, but over weekend just started having issues.

It is very possible that you may have some form of Wi-Fi interference that has appeared recently that is preventing your Time Capsule (TC) from providing a clean RF signal.
I suggest you perform a simple site survey, using utilities like iStumbler, or AirRadar to determine potential areas of interference, and then, try to either eliminate or significantly reduce them where possible. Look for other Wi-Fis that may be operating nearby. Note those with the strongest signals and which channels they are operating on ... then change the channel used by the TC to be at least 3-5 channels away.

I bought a new HP Officejet 6500A Plus and it says I can print wirelessly from my iphone. I have yet to figure out how to do that. I find wireless networks available but how on earth do I print from the phone to the printer?

Is it an Airprint-compatible printer, and is its WiFi enabled if it is? (see: About AirPrint)
If it isn't an Airprint supported printer, then you need a 3rd party driver on your iMac to print from an iPhone. Such as Printopia. As it worked in the past you probably have such a printer driver installed; check and see if it's running.
Beyond that try restarting the printer, restarting the phone, restarting your router, and restarting your computer.

Like ckuan said, Apple does not unlock iPhone; your carrier does, provided that the carrier offers this service.
Unfortunately, SoftBank does not offer authorized unlocking of iPhone.
Your best option is to sell this phone and buy another iPhone from the carrier of your choice or better buy a factory unlocked iPhone so you would be able to use it with any compatible GSM carrier around the world.
