Can i publish my iCal in Outlook?

Hi,
I wonder whether i can publish an iCal calendar in outlook? I use a Microsoft Exchange account with it's own calendar, but also run a personal calendar on my Mac+iPhone.
Is there a way to "merge" both, i.e. publishing the personal calendar by sending it to the Exchange account so it adds event to the server-based one?
thanks for the info
Y.

Will they let you sync to Google? If I remember correctly there's nothing to install.
If you're allowed to do this, they would update over the air so once you update Outlook, it would update Google then update the iPhone.

  • How can I publish my iCal on my personal website using iCloud?

I currently have a MobileMe account, a Mac running iCal, and I am using a plugin from Rapidweaver on my personal website so that I can make appointments on either my Mac, iPhone or iPad and they all sync together and also sync and show up on my online calendar on my website. (http://www.ichatmediation.com/Calendar/index.html)
I would like to migrate from my MobileMe to the iCloud and know that eventually in 2012 I will need to, but from everything I have read and understand, this will mess with my Rapidweaver plugin calendar and need an alternative.
    Any ideas what to do?

Not knowing how the plugin works it's difficult to comment in detail. At present, calendars listed under your MobileMe login name can be shared privately (to other MobileMe subscribers) or publicly (non-editable) for viewing in a CalDAV client such as iCal or Google calendars. Only calendars listed under 'On My Mac' can be published to a web page, and possibly it's this which the RW plugin takes advantage of, but I don't know the details.
When you migrate to iCloud, all your calendars, including the 'On My Mac' ones, will be moved to the iCloud server. They can be shared privately or publicly in the same way:
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a9479
If you want to publish to a web page you would have to move the calendar in question back to under 'On My Mac' as detailed in the second set of numbered instructions here:
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/movecalendars.html
However as I don't have Lion I can't confirm whether the publishing option is still available for 'On My Mac' calendars - it would be useful if someone could confirm or deny this. You would need to find alternative webspace hosting for it as iCloud does not include web page hosting.

  • How can I publish a ical to a different website?

I have a .mac account, but I would like to make this available on my "regular" website, I don't see that option in the publish pull down..????

Through iCal, you can only publish your calendar on .Mac or a webDAV server. But, I did some searching at VersionTracker, and found iCal FTP for publishing your calendars to an FTP site. Search around a little more at VersionTracker and you may find something else.

  • ICal, MS Outlook, and Titles in published calendars

I need to publish my calendar, and would like to use iCal to do it. However, I only need the equivalent of free/busy information to show (I don't want to show any other information about events). I thought that unchecking "Publish Titles and Notes" would accomplish this, but when I subscribe to the calendar using Outlook (as some of my subscribers will), I can see the event title.
Is there any way to fix this?

I am also looking for a way to publish my iCal calendars, but only show the times as "busy" and not show any specific proprietary data. MS Outlook and Google Calendar have this functionality worked out, just curious if there is a way to do this on .MAC.

  • Can I publish an event to more than one shared calendar in iCal?

I have shared calendars (called "home") with my wife & kids and (called "Work") with my secretary at work so that my family can add home events and my secretary can add work things .
I've done this as I don't want my secretary seeing when my kids have an appointment to see the doctor or my kids to see when I have appointments with clients at work etc.
However some things (like when I've booked leave from work) need to be on both calendars.
QUESTION: Can I publish one event (using OS X Yosemite or iOS8.2) to multiple calendars  ("home" & "work") in iCal?

i generally hate toolbars because it makes the browser look cluttered and hogs memory. but u should ask an expert on this if it possible its not too easy, addons will probably help you, for example if you have the stumbleupon toolbar, there are addons that will create an extra button for you to put anywhare for quick access. this solution probably may not work with other less known addons.

  • HOW CAN I Publish ALL the Original Different Colors in iCal

I am trying to publish a grouped calendar which includes several differently colored events. I am testing it by subscribing to it from an iCal that has no calendars created at all....and it still will not publish the different colors of the original calendar. All the events appear as one color.
How can I publish/share my calendar and have ALL the different colors show?
-I am publishing using a .Mac account.
THANKS VERY MUCH for any help anyone can give! It will be hugely appreciated.

I am having this same trouble - I publish
    webcal://ical.mac.com/neyt/neyt.ics
as a grouped calendar. I tried resetting my sync data fromthe computer that this calendar lives on ( OSX 10.4 because I realized earlier versions have Ical that doesn't even group..)
Now when I have a subscriber pull down the .ics file, it doesn't show up as grouped, nor do the groups live onthe website version.
why don't these groups just show up? if I send people the .ics file - it all works just fine...
I know that some colors might be in use on other computers, I'm sure that other colors will be assigned s individuals need them in their calendars, but the groupings should sync...
    help!!

  • How can I map the category in Outlook to ICal for Google Calendar Syncing

I have the syncing working between Outlook 2011 and iCal and Google Calendar; however all my events come in with a category of "No Category" into iCal.  Unless I open iCal and manually change "No Category" to my google calendar it will not sync with Google Calendar.  Does anyone know how I can have the category come from Outlook to iCal and default it to my Google Calendar?

  • I can no longer publish my ICal work calendar

Just updated to the new calendar in mobile me but it deleted all previous calendars that were on my iCal app on desktop computer.  Fixed that with apple's help, but can no longer publish new calendar updates that are created on home desk top computer/ical (not mobile me).  The radio beacon is no longer present on the work calendar that has been published for 5 years and in the tool bar under Calendar "published" is not able to be selected.  I have 81 mb of my iDisk being used and over 9 gb of free space.  Any help/ideas out there.  Thank you.

This is odd: I have no trouble doing this. However I'm on Snow Leopard, so I don't know what difference Leopard makes.
When Apple sorted out your initial problem with the calendars after the upgrade, are you sure they didn't land you with MobileMe calendars? The new calendars live on MobileMe and Leopard can read them and display them in your iCal - I don't know whether it lists them under your MobileMe login name as Snow Leopard does.
Try this: create a new calendar and make sure that it's 'On My Mac'. Add a single event to it just so that there is something there. Can you publish this? If so, then the other calendars probably are on MobileMe and need to be transferred back to your Mac (from where they won't sync with MobileMe).
This is the procedure for shifting calendars back to 'On My Mac':
Select a calendar listed under your MobileMe login name.
From the File menu choose Export...>Export. An .ics file will be saved at your designated destination.
Create a new calendar with the same name as the one you've just exported from, choosing 'On My Mac'.
From the File menu choose Import... Select the .ics file and choose to import it into the calendar you just created (make sure you don't import it into the MobileMe version).
When complete, check that it's OK and then you can delete the MobileMe version.
Repeat for other calendars. I should keep the .ics files for a bit as a safety until you are quite sure everything is correct.

  • Can not publish Ical in 10.5

I can not publish my large work calender to the web. Every time I try to do so I get a message that it is unavailable. I have opened/closed; published/unpublished; exported and imported the calender and still nothing. I really need to be able to publish it
It worked till I went to 10.3

Same problem here. Publishing to http://mydisk.provider.net says
    "The server responded with
    "HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable"Service not available"
However simply mounting http://mydisk.provider.net as a WebDAV Disk in the Finder is no problem so I blame iCal rather than my provider for the occasional(!) error.

  • How can I publish an ics file to a remote server from my calendar server?

I am running Lion Server and have Calendar Service up and running. I have an account with a couple of calendars, one of which I'd like to publish to a remote server, as an .ics file.
From an iCal client it is possible to publish local calendars, but not remote calendars (for which the only option seems to be to 'Share').
How can I can I publish an ics file to a remote server? Programatically, if necessary.

    I have this working now.
    curl -s --digest -u username:password -o calendar.ics http://hostname:8008/calendars/users/username/calendar/
generates the .ics file, and a combination of cadaver (from webdav.org) and an expect script upload hourly (via cron) to the remote server:
    set timeout 60
    spawn /usr/local/bin/cadaver
    expect "dav"
    send "open https://remotehost/path/\r"
expect "Do you wish to accept the certificate? (y/n)"
    send "y\r"
    expect "dav"
    send "put calendar.ics\r"
    expect "dav"
    send "close\r"
    expect "dav"
    send "quit\r"

  • How can I embed an iCal into iWeb in the new Lion OS/Cloud setup?

I have found information on how to do this in the old software, but nothing on how to embed an iCal into my website (using iWeb) with the newest OS.  "Publish" no longer exists.

If iCal can not publish a calendar, then with or without iWeb, the calendar is not available.
Find another calendar, such as Google's :

  • List of reminder that can snooze or dismiss similar to Outlook or Gminder

    Hi there,
Does anybody know how to setup iCal or another product that works similar to Outlook reminder popup window in windows?
I'm looking for a window where you can see a list of reminders from the calendar events that later on you can snooze or dismiss (similar to Outlook or Gminder).
    Thanks,
    Diego

There used to be a way to show events by date in iCal in list format. (This as opposed to calendar-style views.) I don't see how to do this in iCal now.
The feature was nice for printing out lists of upcoming events and posting same on a bulletin board. Some people like this presentation - I thought it sucked; never used it.
Maybe the above is not what you are referring to. If you want reminders, you can set, re-set, and re-re-set alarms of upcoming events as many times as you like. In this fashion, you can set reminders for your self to check on whether subordinates are taking preparatory actions for an event in a timely manner. E.g., if a dignitary is coming you can check to see that a hotel room has been booked by someone and re-set an alarm to see if someone is making signage to guide the dignitary and guests and re-re-set to see if someone has marked a reserved parking place for the dignitary's limo and arranged for food and drink for the limo driver, etc., etc.
    Am I missing something?
    Cheers, Lock

  • Synchronisation from iCal to Outlook 2011 for MAC

I am wondering when Apple will start supporting reminder/task synchronisation between iCal---iCloud---Office 2011 Mac. Even though new Office versions have been released Outlook 2011 will be around for some time and this would be something rather simple to create right?
The strange things is that it is supported for Outlook 2011 Windows.
So when I have dual boot I can see my Icloud reminders as tasks in Outlook but if I boot on Mac i can't see them in Outlook. How weird is that Apple...?
If Apple is not going to do anything about this, is there anything possible with a script perhaps that works between iCal and Outlook 2011 Mac? that would be a proper workaround at least.
Also curious actually as to why this functionality was not added.

INFORMATION on Emailchemy from another Forum
I’ve found a way in which you can import Apple Mail into Outlook 2011 on Mac OS X Lion.
The software I’m running is Mac OS X 10.7.2 on a 2011 MacBook Pro.
You need to purchase an app called Emailchemy. It’s 29.99 for an individual license, and 49.99 for a family license. There are enterprise versions available as well.
Once you run the app, you need to do the following:
    1. Export all mailboxes from Apple Mail to your desktop (or any other suitable location on your computer). You do this by selecting the mailbox, and then clicking on “Mailbox”, and then “Export Mailbox”. Save the destination, and the file is saved automatically.
    2. Then you open Emailchemy and do the following:
    - click on “toolbox” in the bottom left hand corner
    - click on the second box on the top left hand called “advanced email conversion”
    - click on “add file”
    - select the folder (s) you just exported from Apple Mail (e.g. Inbox.mbox)
    Now here comes the trick
    - select format “apple mail 1.0 in the format option at the bottom
    - then 3 sub-folders will appear “info-p.list”, “mbox” and “table of contents”
    Select “mbox”
    - click on “convert” and choose a save file name. Choose the format “MBOX file (standard mbox)”
    - click on save
And you then have a folder created which Outlook 2011 recognizes and can import.
I just imported all my Apple Mail into Outlook 2011 – it works really well too – the formatting, attachments, etc are all there!
    Hope this helps.

  • Need help syncing iCal and Outlook 2011 (for Mac) THANKS!

QUESTION: How do I sync iCal and Outlook up again without duplicating any more events, and very importantly, without sending any more email invitations?
I just bought an iPhone. I am trying to get my phone and my MacBook Pro synced up through iCloud.
I realize that I need to have Outlook 2011 and iCal set up for syncing for this to work.
I did this at one point, and it resulted in all of my ALL DAY appointments being duplicated in Outlook, iCal, and on the calendar on my phone - and iCloud sending out duplicate invitations to events.
Then, I turned syncing between iCal and Outlook and deleted all of the duplicates in my Outlook.
Of course, because I haven't set up Outlook to sync with iCal, iCal and my phone's calendar have not changed. There are still duplicates there.
How do I sync them up again without duplicating any more events, and very importantly, without sending any more email invitations?
Thanks in advance for any help you can be!
    Cheers!

My iPhone 4 was working fine, synched with Outlook 2011 on my iMac 11.02 through iTunes. Calendar changes also appeared in iCal, even though I don't use iCal - I only use Outlook. Last week I was prompted to update Outlook, which I did successfully. Today, I plugged the iPhone into the iMac to synch and suddenly all Calendar and Contact items are gone from the iPhone and in iCal on the iMac. In iTunes, the option to synch with Outlook in the Info tab ("other") is greyed out. What happened? Why can't I synch the iPhone anymore with Outlook? All the Calendar and Contact info is still on the iMac in Outlook. Help!
