Can I publish RemoteApps to Remote Desktop Servers? RDS2012

I want to have my apps exclusively published via RemoteApp. I also want users to have a full desktop if they choose. Is it supported to have RemoteApps published on a RemoteDesktop servers? The GPO i create doesnt get applied and I think
I remember seeing some errors about it in the event log being an RDS server and not being able to use RemoteApps.

Can you specify the Error\Event log you are facing during this issue?

Now, my Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise server are running in the domain. It have problem about some one in my team have remote my server with the user administrator while I'm remote it now. It make my session loss. I tried to remote it again but I found

Now, nobody can't remote with administrator user into this server. I have check the application log. I found the error message like this.

In addition, I can log on this server with other user but I can't log off by it's showing the message "please wait for the system Event Notification service". Normally, the problem can solve by reboot the server. But how can be solve this problem
by we do not reboot the server?

The cause of unable to remote back to the server seems to be services hung, please try to reset session as the article below guides to see if it works:

RDS 2008R2 : RemoteApp Program - Remote Desktop

Hello,
I'm able to use all of my RemoteApp programs when I'm connected through the RDS site on my internal network.
When I connect externally, all published applications work fine that I installed on the server. On the RD Session Host server tab on the Gateway I have 'Show a remote desktop connection to this RD Session Host server in RD Web Access' checked.
I also have it checked on the Web Access servers. The Remote Desktop (Published Desktop) of the Web Access servers works fine internally, but I error out when accessing it remotely.
When I click the icon to launch (while connected remotely) I see the internal farm name and the external name of the gateway is not present. I'll press connect and get an error: Remote Desktop can't find the computer "my farm name" This might
mean that "my farm name" does not belong to the specific network. Verify the computer name and domain that you are registering to connect to.
How do I get this remote app to use my SSL connection and RD Gateway and not try to resolve the name locally on my externally connected machine?
I found this post, it solved the problem of using the Remote Access tab on my RDweb site, but I'm trying to fix the RemoteApp.

What version of OS & RDP client you are using for your environment?
Please recheck that you have configured RD RAP & RD CAP policy. Also as you are facing some SSL certificate issue, I can say that SSL certificate must be signed by trusted certificate authority. Please check below articles for more information.
1. RDWeb: can access internally but cannot access externally
2. RDS: RD Gateway must be configured to use an SSL certificate signed by a trusted certification authority
In addition, I will suggest you to update RDP client to RDP 8.1.
Update for RemoteApp and Desktop Connections feature is available for Windows

Users need to run an Unknown Publisher .exe during Remote Desktop session

In a domain network I have a Remote Desktop Services running on MS Server 2008 R2. One of its jobs is to serve up applications that do not need to be installed on every users machine.While installing a new application, logged on as the administrator, I noticed this particular application has an unknown publisher. The application did install fine and will run under the admin account without warning or prompting for permission.The application does get stopped when opened with a domain user account and demands admin credentials. The UAC (user account control) steps in - due to the unknown publisher and 'making changes to this computer' safety concerns.

Apple TV, iPad, iPhone home sharing how to wake a sleeping mac from these devices? Can wake from iMac using remote desktop fine.

Hello all!
To give you an over view of system I have, iMac, Mac Mini, Apple TV 3, ipad 1, IPhone 4.
I have all music and video stored on the mac mini that is in the roof and I control it using apple remote desktop from my iMac. I can wake it no problem etc and I have now been using it with home sharing and it works fantasticly with the apple tv and ipad etc but the issue is as follows.
How can I wake the mac mini in the roof from the apple tv when it dissapears off the ipad / apple tv when it goes to sleep?
Its the only issue I can see in an amazing setup that I think apple needs to advertise more as its flipping brilliant!
I hope you can help me with this other wise I will have to leave the mini on 24/7 which is poor!
Please don't say turn wake fromlan on the mini as its on and working.

MBA CAN'T GET ON MS REMOTE DESKTOP DUE TO ACTIVEX

I typically used my Toshiba to access my office through MS Remote Desktop. I have upgraded to a MBA (after many years of suggestions from my children) but find that when I try to access my computer at work I get the message " This portion of Remote Web Workplace requires the Microsoft Remote Desktop ActiveX control. Your Browser's security setting may be preventing you from downloading ActiveX controls. Adjust these settings, and try to connect again."
I find no settings to adjust on Safari re ActiveX controls. Hence, trying again did not help. Obviously, I am missing something. Can anyone assist in allowing me to access my PC at work from the MBA?

I don't know about your work setup, but you might be able to use Microsoft's RDC http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/remote-desktop/default.mspx.

Can't quit directly from remote desktop session on OS X

When I'm in a full-screen remote desktop session in Mavericks and I move the mouse to the top of the screen so the menu bar appears, selecting Quit from the File menu results in the session ending, but I have to select Quit a second time to actually exit

Using remote desktop web access (RDWEB) with remoteapps and a traditional remote desktop

I configured windows 2012 r2 remote desktop services and remote desktop web access (rdweb) and was able to click the icon on the rdweb page to log on to a remote desktop session. When I published a remoteapp program, the remote desktop icon went away. How
do I get it back? Do I need to publish remote desktop as a remoteapp so users can both use remote apps and log on to a traditional remote desktop session?

IOS Remote Desktop app and computers connected to SBS 2008--can't get it to work

I can connect directly to the server without a remote resource in the IOS app.
But I'd like to be able to connect to computers in the office like we can through RWW. RWW works fine, but not from my phone. (Yes I can connect to the server and take over computers from the phone but I don't want other people in the office to log
into the server first!).
I can never get the remote resources section in the app to connect. I usually get "Unable to locate any remote resources for the URL". error in the resources section. I've tried a simple "https://remote.domain.com", "https://remote.domain.com:987",
etc.
We have a self-signed certificate. I can't think of anything in the server setup that is anything other than normal.
I can do direct connect using "Remote Desktop Connection" in windows 7. In the remote desktop server settings I just put remote.domain.com and "Ask for password (NTLM)" for the login method. Then on the general tab I have just the
simple computer name and the domain\username. That's all I had to setup to get that to work.
Any suggestions?

Have you setup RD Gateway server in your environment? Are you trying to access the RWW through it?
On server side you can choose “Bypass RD Gateway server for local addresses” under RemoteApp manager and check the result.

Remote Desktop Connection Manager can't stop Reconnecting

I use RDCM in different customer sites to connect to their Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 servers. Typically the server on which RDCM is running on is Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 (64-bit). In some sites, when I disconnect from a server, instead
of completely disconnecting, the session turns gray and a "Reconnecting" window pops up:
Pressing the Cancel button simply grays out the button and I can never actually disconnect until I exit RDCM and restart it. "Disconnect group" doesn't help either. It seems like the problem occurs always in some sites and never in
others.
Is there a fix for this annoying problem?

The RDS feature is also available on Server 2008 but just the name is different, on server 2008 it’s called Terminal Server. So you can able to find the option “Set time limit for disconnected sessions” or the
session is active then you can choose the option “Set time limit for active Terminal Services sessions

Remote Desktop - can't download file

We have a server mac and we can access at server with remote desktop with a other mac, but we can't download file. Where is a problem? Is a port closed?

My server is windows 2003 but not in nt domain and it is a workgroup computer.
I want to limit him access right on one folder in which have many folders and .exe file.
I only want he can read , write,modify file and traverse folder but not execute any .exe file.
How can I implement this through NTFS.
Please give me some advice.
