I forgot to mention that she has a PC at her house that she also syncs to. Would this cause a problem. I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. Welcome to the Apple community.
You can only restore them from a Computer backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc.

Can i power my iphone from the mains and connect to my mac at the same time

Here is my dilemma, my daughter dropped my wifes iphone in the bath and it will now only power up when plugged into the mains. When plugged in it cannott find the sim and according to the local apple store the wifi antenna is also broken.
We are not bothered about the phone it is the 1500 photos and videos of our girls which we dont want to lose. The phone hasnt been backed up recently and she is not registered with icloud so that is out the window.
So, i thought that if the phone could be powered by the mains and somehow connected to my pac at the same time i could perhaps get the photos synced and then the phone can be traded in at the store for a £119 replacement, thank you by the way Apple!!! you pay full retail for a product (£419) and all you get told is "your phones knackered, that will be £119 please"
It worht pointing out that the USB doesnt turn the phone on when connected to the mac.
Is there such a cable in existence which has two usb leads from the iphone dock connector??
I just cant beleive that the photos and videos cannot be accessed and saved by a company that always tells us they are cutting edge and ahead of the rest of the market, especially as the phone traded in will get, repaired, wiped and sold on as a refubed phone, if they can do that they can get us our files off.

How, exactly, would you propose connecting it to both an AC power adapter and your computer when it has only one dock connector? If you don't want to set it on fire, I wouldn't try.
If it can power on when on AC power AND it can connect to either the cellular network or WiFi, plug it in and power it on and e-mail the photos to yourself. Not the most elegant solution, but it beats losing all of them. I assume you were not in the habit of backing up very often.

This question comes up all the time, and the answer is yes if you purchase an officially unlocked iPhone, directly from Apple. There is no where else, in the US, to purchase officially unlocked iPhones.
You need to be aware of one big downside to doing this: You will have absolutely NO warranty & support for a US iPhone in Israel...NONE. If you have any issues, you will have to physically return the phone to the US for all warranty & support issues...you can't mail it back.

Actually you can now make that the "useless" unlocked Apple iPhone at their store, AT&T iPhone and T-Mobile iPhone. And the "useless" Sprint iPhone is not unlocked on the GSM side.
The fact that the GSM side is unlocked on the Verizon is the result of a deal with the FCC when they acquired more bandwidth. Nothing says this will continue into the future.
They will have to purchase their iPhone from Verizon and as with any of them their warranty will not be valid outside the US. And some providers do not use the same LTE bands as are on the Verizon and European phones.

If you want to use it in France and your tied to an American carrier you can still use it but it will cost a lot!! But I think what you mean is can you use it of you buy it out of an apple store the answer is yes of you buy an iPhone out of a apple store any where in the world it's unlocked so you can use it anywhere buy just putting in a different sim for a network in the county you want to use it in, the iPhone 5 up has the capability of LTE but it depends on your carrier if they roll it out if they do it will work. Not in the US, at the present time. Apple has not started selling officially unlocked iPhone 5's in the US, & has not announced when they will.

Yes, Apple TV can be used anywhere, despite its voltage. The only difference that you will see is the difference between the iTunes store itself and any localised services, such as the NHL channel for example.
