  • How can I put 2 different "New Tab" buttoms in Firefox 4?

    In addition to the "+" that can open a new tab, I want the old New Tab option that I had in Firefox 3.6.15.
    I want this:
    http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/8373/94650563.png
    and also this:
    http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/7745/78073608.png
    Both of them. Together.
    But when I change the location of one of them... I can't add another one.
    What can I do?
    Thanks.

    It's working, thank you!
    Too bad that the icon is not similar to the default "New Tab" icon.
    But never mind :)
    Thanks again!

    Did you press the F1 key?<br />
    Did it only happen once?

  • Want new tab to open to home page and why does firefox not have a simple check box in the options because I can't keep going through a long procedure each time

    I want new tab to open to home page and why does firefox not have a simple check box in the options because I can't keep going through the long tedious procedure each time I install firefox. It is something that should be in the options tab , and I want to know why it isn't. I am totally frustrated with firefox and getting ready to switch.

    You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.
    *https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/
    Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
    If you do not keep changes after a restart or otherwise have problems with preferences, see:

  • I can't find the "Bookmark All Tabs" feature in Firefox 5 that used to be there. Was it moved or just removed?

    I can't find the "Bookmark All Tabs" feature in Firefox 5 that used to be there. Was it moved or just removed?

    Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).
    You can see the difference if you use Alt+F to open the File menu or other menus like the Edit menu (Alt+E) and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by tapping Alt or by pressing F10.
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" (Shift+Ctrl+D) no longer shows in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).

  • Can I get my msn mail on the Firefox home page?

    How many ways can I say it? Want to be able to see my email on my Firefox homepage.

    The built-in Firefox home page doesn't have the option to add your mailbox to the existing page. But you can make your mailbox your home page so when you start Firefox or open a new window, that will load automatically.
    For example, one way is, while viewing the page you want as your home page, you drag the padlock icon from the left side of the address bar and drop it on the Home button (house icon). This article describes that and other techniques: [[How to set the home page]].
    Does that help?

  • Problem defining a report to show in Reports tab of plug-in home page

    We are developing a plug-in for OEM and we want to add some SYSTEM reports that will be showing in Reports tab of plug-in home page.
    We tried to use the PL/SQL code described in Extensibility Guide, copied the code used in some existing plug-in that we downloaded from Oracle site, but it does not work. When executing the code we receiving "PL/SQL procedure successfully completed" message, but report does not show neither in Reports list nor in Home page (reports tab does not exist).
    Finally we tried to add a report containing only static text component, but with same result.
    Following is the code that is executed:

    l_param_values MGMT_IP_PARAM_VALUE_LIST;
    l_target_type MGMT_IP_TARGET_TYPES;

    Have you tried running your sql file in sql plus? Does that work? If it does execute, does the report show on the main tab but not on the target homepage or does it show in neither spot? Try hitting the refresh icon in the page to reset the cache on the Reports tab.
    When you deploy the plug-in with the report file in it, did you see any errors or messages in the oms logs?
    1. We do: run the PL/SQL script I posted from sqlPlus. As far as I understand it should add a report?
    2. We tried all the ways of defining a report. We successfully create the report interactively with SQLs we defined. We tried to put the PL/SQL code inside the jar and deploy, to run the PL/SQL script in SQL Plus, neither report is showed in Reports list nor Reports tab is showing at all. We tried to restart OEM and computer after adding a report, it does not help...
    Regarding the oms logs - where can we see that?

  • The quick link button to my email account has disappeared from my Firefox home page. How can I get it back again ?

    When I used to click onto the Internet Firefox icon to get onto my home page, the top of the screen gave me a click on-link direct to my hotmail email a/c. For some reason that has disappeared. I can still do it via the Internet Explorer icon, but the settings are different, and the system does not accept text as readily as it did when using the Firefox. Could someone please tell me how to (in words a techno phobe can understand and follow) insert this link back onto the Firefox home page. Many thanks...

    Perhaps the button was on your Bookmarks Toolbar. Can you make sure that bar is displayed? You can turn toolbars on and off using any of these methods to display a toolbar list:
    * right-click a blank area of the tab bar, or the "+" button on the tab bar
    * "3-bar" menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars
    * tap the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar temporarily, then View > Toolbars
    Does that help?
    Also, you can access your Hotmail account using http://hotmail.com/ and Microsoft will redirect you to the secure login page.

  • How do I put an icon for Outlook Express on the home page????

    Having just moved into FF 3.6.1 from IE8, I am use to having an icon for the mail (outlook express) on the home page. I set outlook up in 'Options';'Applications';'mailto' as default, however, how do I set up an icon on the home page that will enable me to read my mail.

    GetMail extension adds that feature to Firefox. <br />

  • How do you set new tabs to open with home page

    when I open a new tab I would like it to open with my home page. Currently I have to click the home icon to go to my home page. The first tab opens with my home page but not extra ones.

    Remove the '''Searchqu''' Malware - see this: <br />

  • Have Firefox home page set for Google search, but each following tab opens w/Yahoo search instead. How do I remove the Yahoo and have Google home page on every tab????

    As I said above: I Have Firefox browser home page set for Google search, but each following tab (but suddenly now it) opens w/Yahoo search instead. How do I remove the Yahoo search off the added tabs and have Google home page/ blank tab (like it used to be) on every tab????

    The new Firefox Start Page - '''about:home''' - isn't the same homepage that was used in earlier versions of Firefox - http://www.google.com/firefox There is no "setting" for the "Search Container" on the about:home "page" - in the Options UI or in about:config .
    Set that old "Mozilla Firefox Start Page" as your "homepage". <br />
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page
    Or open your Profile folder and delete the '''webappsstore.sqlite''' file and hope the "Search Container" on the about:home "page" returns to Google. When it '''''is''''' Google, the Google logo appears to the left of the "Search Container"; when the search engine there has been changed to something else, there is no logo to the left of the "Search Container" - AFAIK.

  • I can't open my firefox home page

    everytime i try to open my firefox home page, it won't open, but when i restart my laptop, all the unlaunched mozilla pages opened and i don't have a choice because i can't access them any longer because my laptop had restarted already.

    You can open the <b>about:config</b> page via the location bar and do a search for <i>jzip</i> via the Filter at the top of the about:config page.<br />
    You can reset all <i>jzip</i> related prefs via the right-click context menu to their default values.
    To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
    You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

  • How can I make a setting so that new tabs bring up my home page?

    When I open a new tab I get this lame empty page. I want my home page to come up! I know I can just click on the home button to do this but how can I set up Firefox to do it automatically? PS when first opening Firefox there is no problem - home page loads fine.

    You can do that by using an add-on such as:
    * NewTabURL - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/newtaburl
    * New Tab Homepage - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage

  • When I open a new tab it doesnt bring up my home page. I checked in tools under options and then clicked on General and it shows my home page. What can I do to get it to open with my home page?

    Just need to answer the question above it gives perfect detail to my problem.

    A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
    If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
    You can middle-click or hold down Ctrl and left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.
    You can use an extension to set which page to open in a new tab:
    *NewTabURL : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/newtaburl/
    *My Homepage: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/my-homepage/
