Can i put itunes upgrade on a disc?

Hey ther,
i have been trying to upgrde itunes 4 to itunes 6 on a friends pc-but they have no internet! yes, iknow , in this day and age not to be online but there you have it. before , when i tried to update itunes it would give me an option to either 'run' or 'save' and i could save and then put it on a disc , but recently it has stopped letting me do that
Is there another way to do it or am i just doing it wrong?

hmmm. would you mind describing what's going on in a bit more detail? is it that you don't get that "save" button on the download box? or don't you get the download box at all? or is something else a bit different going on?

how can i install iTunes upgrade 10.4.1 manually in win7? i'm trying to do it but troubles occur every time i try (message after download: impossible to install due to an error, try to install manually from Tools menu) but where is the tools manu in iTunes?

How can I, if there is a way put my iTunes library and iPhoto albums on my external hard drive to free up space on my internal hard drive? If this can be done what are possible issues and do I just access them through my external drive when I need them. Can I sync my iPod to the external drive in order to deal with daily pod casts etc?

Can't install iTunes upgrade due to network error

I've never had a problem downloading & installing iTunes updates, but I've been trying for a week or two to update iTunes and I'm always getting the following error message:
A networking error has occurred: timed out (-1001). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again.
There is NOTHING wrong with my Internet connection, and all my other Apple updates have installed successfully. I have NO idea how to try to fix this problem. Please help!!!

I am getting this same message but only after the 38.5MB iTunes file has downloaded. Last week a forum named "can't download" also had several user posts with this same problem but I don't see it now. Thought I'd try upgrading again today but it still doesn't work. Does Apple read these posts?

No, you have to be in the US to use the US store - whilst you are in Mexico you can only use the Mexican store (for which you will need a Mexico billing address on your account).
All the countries stores have terms such as the following for the US store :

Can't put iTunes Store items on Video iPod

Hi everyone... hopefully someone can help me out!
I have a brand new Video iPod, a flat panel Mac G4 using Tiger 10.4.4, and iTunes 6.0.2.
Every song and audiobook that I have purchased from the iTunes store will NOT go on my iPod. It keeps telling me that "some of the songs in the iTunes music library were not copied to the iPOD because your iPod software is too old." Ok, I know that's not the case because it's brand new, but I updated everything anyway.
What I finally noticed is that the songs are locked. When I see them in my music folder on my hard drive, they have a little lock icon in the upper left corner of the music icon which, coincidentally, is in a M4P format. All the songs I have purchased, and the 3 audiobooks as well, are all like that- locked and M4P format (or MP4).
Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if so, do you know how I can get this stuff on my iPod? Every question sent to Apple has been met with the same "solution" of either update it, restore it, restart it, etc. I've done all that. It appears to be something to do with the fact that these things are locked. Can I unlock them somehow??

Yes and no... I am TRYING to use the latest update of the software, which is "iPod updater 2006-01-10." It says I am updated, so I tried to put my "purchased" music on my iPod and it still gives me the message that I am unable to add those songs because my iPod software is too old. So I went to restore it instead, and the updater software says I need to connect using the firewire. But when I use the firewire it doesn't recognize the iPod!
I took the songs giving me trouble and put them on a CD. I imported the CD onto my laptop. From there I was able to restore the iPod, finally, and I was able to put those elusive "purchased" songs on the iPod, but when I connected it back to my main computer, I was back to square one. I needed to reconnect the iPod to my main computer because after the restore on the laptop I lost all my original songs, so I had to get the songs from the main computer. By doing that, I lost the "purchased" songs because iTunes wouldn't let me keep them AND add the my old songs back on because they are from different libraries! ARGH!
Apparently I just need to take it in to be fixed because I've serioulsy tried everything. If there was a way to transfer the iTunes library from the main computer to the laptop, everything would probably work. Is that possible?

Those messages are consistent with a damaged program file (in this case, something associated with the Danish language resources).

Music from the iTunes Store is in industry-standard AAC, so if your Android phone can play that format, then yes, you can use that music on your phone. You'll need to use whatever procedure your phone provides for transferring the tracks; iTunes does not sync with non-Apple players.

By the way, the alternative (esp if you don't have a library file on the external disk) is to add the external drive's media files to your laptop's iTunes library on your local hard disk. The downside is that (a) if the external disk is unavailable when you start iTunes, you'll see next to the music in iTunes (telling you that the files are unavailable); and (b) as you manage music on that external disk, you'll have to manually update iTunes on the other computer.
Probably better to keep the library file on the external disk if that external disk ever is going to be disconnected from the the machine or connected to another machine. But if you'd like guidance for keeping the library file on your laptop and media files on the external disk, let us know.

I suppose if you enabled disk use, stored it on in the iPod, then copied the file to the computer you're wanting to play it on. If you mean directly from the iPod to a TV... no.

Suddenly can't access iTunes store (Mac)

Hi! For no apparent reason, I can no longer access the iTunes store. I changed nothing about my internet or its security settings and as of yesterday, I get an error message whenever I try to access the store. I have OS X 10.2.8 and can find no iTunes upgrades that will work with this operating system. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me! Thanks!!
