If so then what procedure are you following to install the OS? You wrote that

Well, I can check with mine when it need to be updated and then I can signed with my ID again on his mac to update it, right? Just wondering if it's not going to create any conflicts with other software's, specially with iCloud and iTunes, because of his iPhone and iPad.

10.7 Lion is still available from Apple. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. to purchase it. Then within 3 days you will get an email with a code which you can use to download Lion from the App Store. The price is $19.99.
You must have at least a Late 2006 Core 2 Duo model 2,1 MacBook.
Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. If OS X Mountain Lion came with your MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion can only be installed on the MacBook Pro, and you can't install it on the MacBook Air, so you will have to purchase it on the Mac App Store

I have a serious issue since my last senior project my MacBook Pro 15" has been too hard to deal with it hangs a lot and I can't install any updates with out formatting my Mac and have a rough time with it lately I wanted to update my macbook to the latest version which is 10.8.5 and whenever I download that update from the App Store my Mac won't install it then it starts to hang and even hang on the start ups so I formatted it all over again and now when it reaches to the nearly end of the installation like 6 mins left it stuck forever and it writes 2hrs left... I would really be happy if someone can find an end of this drama cause am sick of it

Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
      left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
        the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
      the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
            because it is three times faster than wireless.

You can share Mail, Calendars, and Contacts running Snow Leopard. Based on my experience, I don't recommend syncing Contacts - created a lot of problems with duplicates.

I have not been able to install Mountain Lion. I have the last MacBook that it can be installed on.
There is no explanationother than after 3 minutes, that the there has been an error in the installtion.
I don't even know where to begin!

Try this:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

That MacBook can only go to 10.7.4. Phone the Apple Store and order a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD and a download code for Mac OS X 10.7.

Only the Late 2008 Aluminum MacBook and Early 2009 MacBooks (and newer ones) support OS X Mountain Lion, OS X Mavericks and OS X Yosemite. As your MacBook has got OS X Tiger, it means that it does not support OS X Mountain Lion, so the maximum version your MacBook supports is Mac OS X Snow Leopard (which does not support the most recent Xcode version) or OS X Lion (if it has got a Intel Core 2 Duo processor).
Anyway, those Mac OS X versions do not support the most recent Xcode version, so you need a new Mac if you want to build apps for the latest OS X version.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work.
