Greetings,I love my Vision M (too bad it's discontinued now) and my girlfriend wants a V-Plus for Christmas. I currently have my library and software on my work laptop, as it's the fastest in the house. What sort of problems can I expect if I want to load and charge my G/F's V-Plus on the same computer. I'm worried about mixing of playlists and problems like that. My G/F does not own a computer so it's up to me to load and charge it. Thanksfor any help!

Shouldn't be a problem. What software do you use?
Certainly with Windows Media Player, you have a different sync profile for each device.

For the 2nd option,
I have tried to put multiple receive's to poll data from a table but it does not work(it waits at the 2nd Receive). Let me try to elaborate the issue a bit.
I have created a table for polling.
The table has 3 columns :- transaction_id, status, is_read
is_read is kept to implement the logical delete strategy of DB polling.
What I need to do is to maintain a single instance of BPEL to maintain a transaction(which is uniquely identified by transaction_id).
The BPEL should track the different stages of the transaction, i.e whenever a new row is inserted in the table with the updated status for a transaction, it must find the correct instance(by co-relating the transaction_id) and go to the next step (wait for the next receive activity) until all the steps of the transaction is completed.
In the code, I created a correlation set consisting of transaction_id(only). The property transaction_id has an alias to the inbound variable's payload.
In the first Receive, I checked the "create instance" checkbox. Also the correlation set is initialized.
From next Receive onwards the correlation set is checked.
The polling frequency is 5 secs.
The first Receive works fine and the process is instantiated. But it waits at the 2nd Receive indefinitely.
It will be very helpful if you can try this once. If you feel this is not the right approach, please guide me.

No, your ID is essentially your account. You can have email aliases and you can have multiple accounts, but I don't think that's what you are asking.

Can I store multiple bootable images in the same partition or do they each need their own partition? I am going to use disk utility to create a copy of my current OSX 10.5 system on a new external drive before upgrading to Snow Leopard. Then I want to create a bootable copy of Snow Leopard. Can I create one partion large enoough to hold both images or will I need to create a separate partition for each. I have done booting off of an external hard drive and it works well. I do not know how the system sees this and thus if I store both images on the same partition, will it give me both as a boot option at startup or will it see only one?

Please check for the Secure Link option in the Home Theater System or A/V Receiver. This will help isolate the connection to the different Network speakers.
Yes, you can use multiple Network speakers on the same home network.
You can change the Device name using the Setting screen on the browser.
Follow the steps mentioned on the page # 34 and 35 of the User’s manual to start up the browser of the Network speakers and change the Device name.

give them distinct names. launch iTunes while holding the option (⌥) key, click on choose library when prompted, and select the iTunes folder of the desired library.

Can ADF keep multiple pages open at the same time?

My company is currently developing an application to upgrade a client's FORMS system to one based on ADF. One of our client's biggest complaints with the new technology is that he can't work on many tasks at the same time, because our application can't work with "tabs" or "different windows", like Forms can with the "open form ()" function.
Currently, we use a page called "main.jspx" with the main menu and a region under it, where we load all the "jsff" pages, which do all the different tasks in their systems (like autorizeBuyOrder.jsff, createNewOrder.jsff, etc...).
Right now, I can only have one "jsff" page loaded on the region at once, and I wanted to make my application able to load and keep track of as many as the user wants. I was thinking on something like a tabs system, or multiple windows system. Does ADF provide any elegant way to do this? Any material you can recommend me?

Can't create multiple dependent LOVs from the same bind variable

Hi all,
I'm having difficulty creating multiple dependent LOVs from queries based on the same bind variable in my JSF application (JDev 10.1.3.1). Basically I have a static LOV in a af:selectOneChoice component from which users select a value which then becomes the bind variable value for two separate queries that generate two different dependent LOV. Having developed the code along the lines of Steve Muench 's blog (http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/2006/04/03.html#a685), the first dependent LOV works really well. The first dynamic LOV gets refreshed whenever the list from the static LOV changes, and I can execute other queries based on the values selected.
The problem arises when I want to create the second dynamic/dependent LOV that has the same bind variable based on the same selected value from the static LOV. Here I would also like the functionality whereby the second dynamic LOV is also refreshed after the selected value in the static LOV changes. Thinking that all I had to do was replicate the methodology used in creating the first dependent LOV, I created the second iterator, invokeAction and other binding components in the PageDef. The executable section now looks like the following:

For example, I have a <af:outputText="Test Text"/> component created after the first dynamic LOV. Each time the value in the static LOV changes, a duplicate HTML component is created. This also applies to the 'related' second dynamic LOV which is bound to a af:selectOneChoice component - multiple dropdown lists are created. I've checked with the browser's Page Source and there are actually multiple html components being generated with their own unique ADF-generated IDs. I've tried all different options for the Referesh and RefreshCondition attibutes in the second invokeAction element but nothing seems to eliminate this issue.
Any suggestions about how I might create multiple dependent LOVs from the same bind variable that get refreshed when the selected value changes would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
Just updating the thread on how I've overcome this issue. As it stood the manner in which I was trying to solve my use case, as described above, was creating an absolute mess. Then with a blank sheet of paper I quickly realised that a much simpler solution would be to create a whole series of master-detail VOs and build my components around them. Thankfully I haven't had any issues going down this path as yet.

Can We Use Multiple Edgehero Classes On The Same Element?

Does anyone know if it is possible to add multiple Edgehero classes to the same element? More specifically, I would like to use RotateX and RotateY on a rectangle, but it only seems to do one or the other, adding both classes to the element doesn't make it rotate in both directions.

Maybe check out the Star Wars demo to see if that would help.

I'm doing an application that reproduces the front panel of the HP6675A power supply. To achieve this, I have done a state machine with different states
(initialize, measures, voltage, current, ocp, ov, store, recall, etc). In each state, should have an event structure that catches the events of the buttons, like for example: if the current state is the Voltage mode and the user press the current button the next state will be the Current mode. For this in each state of the state machine should be the same event structure with the same events.
My problem is that the Vi doesn't work properly when I have multiple event structures with the same event cases. There are some possibily to do this, and how? Or is impossible to have multiple events? I have been reading some posts, but I don't find solutions.
Any help is appreciated.

A proper state machine will not need the second loop. The "Wait For Event" or "Idle" state (whatever you want to call it) is all you really need in order to catch the user button presses. The setup is almost there. Maybe add a shift register to keep track of which state to go to in the case of a timeout on the Event Structure.

In syncing my iPhone 3GS on iTunes, I now have many copies of the same contact -over 1,000 in one case-on my iPhone. The cause was probably a USB glitch during a sync or when copying. The music resides on the phone in separate files. A master file contains a database with an index to the music, an entry for each track and a "pointer" to the file containing the track. Somehow the index got corrupted with duplicate entries. It's likely that the music itself wasn't duplicated, but some tracks had more than one entry in the database. I've seen this happen when syncing (rather than manually managing) also. In my case deleting the track from the Music tab in iTunes, syncing, then adding it back fixed it.
A related problem I've seen is an album may be split, with some tracks in each of 2 or more album entries in the listing. Fixed the same way.
