Can i put music from 2 diff computures on my ipod

I downloaded a movie on to my ipod from 1 comp in 1 house but when i went to another house and i downloaded music that video vanished

Yes.  Locate these songs from your Windows Media library on your computer and drag them into iTunes.  Then set them up to sync to your iPod.

  • Can u have music from 2 diff computures on ur ipod

*** how do i do this

wrong answer. iTunes does NOT let you sync your iPod on different computers. You sync with iTunes on one computer, if you bring it to another computer and sync with iTunes, it's going to tell you the iPod is registered with another computer and if you want the music from this one it is going to delete everything on your iPod, register it with this computer and then copy the music to it (manually or automatically).
The only way around this is to use Winamp and the iPod plugin. Winamp with the plugin does not care what is already on the iPod and you'll be able to put more music on it.

  • How can I put music from my itunes on to my husband's phone but NOT backup his phone on my computer

How can I put music from my computer on to my husband's Iphone without doing a backup of his phone on my computer?  All I want to do is add music to his iphone for him...not backup or sync his phone... thanks

Does your husband have his own computer/iTunes account? If so, the easiest way is to turn on Home Sharing, transfer whatever you want from your library to his library & then sync it to his phone on his computer:

  • HT1386 Hi the question I have is. Can I put music from my IPad to my iPod?

Hi the question I have is. Can I put music from my IPad to my iPod?

Not directly no, you will need to sync it via your computer's iTunes. If they are iTunes purchases which are not yet on your computer's iTunes then you should be able to copy them over your computer via File > Transfer Purhcases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases if you have iTunes on your computer)

  • Can I put music from iPod Shuffle, synced to computer A, onto iPhone4, synced to computer B?

Can I put music from old iPod Shuffle, synced to computer A, onto new iPhone4, synced to computer B?  Both devices and both computers belong to me.  Computers are not on same LAN.

You can if the music was puchased with the same AppleID.
Synch the iPod Shuffle with computer B to get it's songs onto that computer.  Then resynch the iPhone4 to computer B.

No, you would have to put the music on a computer with iTunes then sync the iPod.

  • I can't put songs from iTunes on my Mac onto iPod. iPod accepts podcasts but not songs.

I can't put songs from iTunes on my Mac onto iPod. iPod accepts podcasts but not songs.

I open itunes application from ipod. There's no common songs i want to buy. There are only podcast, itunes U, and search menu. So i try search from itunes website, browsing via safari. Then i find what i want. I want to start buy a song "payphone" by maroon 5. Then i click " buy from itunes" . Then appears my itunes application n my apple store application. But there's no maroon 5. :-(

  • How can I get music from two diff devices onto my phone if it's only synced to one?

I have a desktop an laptop both windows with iTunes on both with same Apple ID. Both have diff music on each But the laptop is sync to my iphone & when I have tried to sync my I phone to my desktop it wiped my music. How can I combine music from my desktop and laptop into my iphone without wiping what's already on there?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Assuming it isn't purchased content from the iTunes Store, then your only way is to put all the music onto one computer and sync with that.

  • I can't put songs from my other computer on my ipod

I have 2 computers in my home (the family one and mine) and my computer I have downloaded like 80% of my itunes music from, but the cd-rom doesn't work for some reason. I want to get my cds on my ipod too (itunes doesn't have most of the music I have in cds, so I can't rebuy them... don't want to either. I'm low on money) and the family computer doesn't let me put my imported music on there. When I plug it in the family computer, it gives me an option to keep the songs on my ipod that I already have on there and erase all the stuff that are on my ipod and use only that computer to put stuff on my ipod. If I use the first one, I can't put stuff from the family computer on there. What do I do?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!!!
When the window comes saying "The ...iPod is synced with another iTunes library...do you want to..." Just hit cancel. Your iPod is now set to "manually manage movies and songs"
Now you can drag and drop whatever songs you want onto your iPod. I would go ahead and set the setting on the other computer to "manually manage..." also in order for it not to erase the songs you put on there from the other computer.
You can go to Devices>iPod>Settings There are four options toward the bottom of the page. One of those is "manually...." Check that box.

    carlitos3373,
You need to use iTunes to transfer music to your iPod. You can download the latest version here:

    Hope this helps,

  • I can't put music from my Ipod in the library

When I get my ipod I put the music from a file of my computer in the library in itunes...then I organize all the musci by artist, year,etc...and I did download all the music from library to my ipod....once I got the music in my ipod I eliminated all the music of the library because all the music already was in a file in my computer...the thing is that I want to put the music of my computer in the library of itunes because all the musci files are organized and I can't do it

    Leave the music in iTunes.
I put the music from a file of my computer in the library in itunes...then I organize all the musci by artist, year, etc.
What do you mean you organized it? iTunes does all the for you.
Did you mess with the folders after you added to the iTunes library? If so, iTunes will lose track of it.
the thing is that I want to put the music of my computer in the library of itunes because all the musci files are organized
Then why did you delete all the music?

If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
    See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
