Can I rearrange the tree of welcome/course pages?

Greetings all,
Supposing that I have spent a lot of time creating a tree of welcome pages and course pages, and then I receive word from the higher-ups that parts of the tree should be restructured (for instance, that Humanities, which is a currently represented as a welcome page underneath Philosophy and Letters, really ought to be a top-level welcome page accessible directly from the root welcome page).
Is it possible to move Humanities, and all the courses and welcome pages that it contains, from its current location to its new location without having to delete it and recreate it in its new location.
I ask this because up to now I haven't found any tools in the iTunes U administrative interface that will allow me to rearrange my content tree.

Sorry for my tardy reply. In answer to your question, no there is, as yet, no direct way to move a sub-welcome page (also called a "division" in the Administration Guide) or a course from one section to another…or from a section to your site page.
However…
There is a very very clever hack, discovered by Dave Benjamin from (last I heard) Arizona State. It works like this…iTunes U can treat a real-live division and a real-live course like a template course or a template division. So this means that you can actually copy a course or division from one section to another using the iTunes U web service. After you've copied a division, say, from one section to another, you can delete the original. This has the effect of moving the division.
If you are not comfortable using the web service, I have a way which makes it (relatively) painless to use.

Do you mean when you do a Save, or when you click on the Finder icon on your Dock?
If it's the former click on the arrow to the right of the Save to reveal full finder.
If it's the latter show the Finder Sidebar and choose your Home folder.

Not on my document. I have a 7 page document open. The "flashing vertical bar" is at the top of page 3. I have the thumbnail view showing. I click page break and two blank pages are added to the end of my document. I have to scrool thru the pages to see that the 2 pages were added as they do not appear in the layout view... I'm not sure if it is inserting a "section" as it adds two blank pages.. But I am clicking on "INSERT PAGE BREAK".. So guess there are still a lot of bugs to fix..

In theory it would be possible to 'record and play back' the page numbers using a folder-level script, but it's far from trivial. You would have to use the doc.movePage() function - presumably driven by a dialog box - to do the page shuffling so there was a way to track what was being done, then swap the page 'labels' of the two affected pages. That's where it gets messy.
We have functions in the JSAPI which can read and write the page label, but they don't do things in a logical way. The 'getPageLabel()' function simply returns a string, but the 'setPageLabel()' method expects to be told the numbering scheme, prefix, etc. You'd have to parse the string and work out what scheme it was implementing.

Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

Can I rearrange the Finder Sidebar items?

Is it possible to rearrange the Finder Sidebar items? I would like to get the "10.6" order: Devices>Network>Places

I find this extremely annoying as well. Of course you can drag any volume to the favorites list - BUT - if you unmount them, they do NOT reappear there when they are re-mounted. You have to manually add them back again.
Also, I work with a lot of volumes that require frequent mounting and un-mounting. It's a time waster to try and keep them in the favorites list so I've given up.
Constantly having to scroll DOWN to get to the bottom of the list is ridiculous. So combine that with the fact that there are NO MORE COLORED icons in the sidebar. Talk about ***-backward-going-in-the-wrong-direction-mentality.... So with my poor eyesight, I find basic navigation within the Finder becoming more and more of a strain.
Seems like Apple is going out of their way making things MORE difficult for the Pro user as they try to simplify things for "switchers" and for the "rest of us...".
While I'm on a roll, I find that every time there is a big issue from us users about something that has been changed in the OS with an update, more and more of the solutions are from power users that post up terminal commands to rectify those issues, or try to direct people on how to edit .plist files. These people are certainly trying to help but working in the terminal is VERY risky business for the average user.
Configurability from the Finder is slowly going away with every new OS incarnation, forcing average users to dig deeper into areas they should NOT have to be dealing with. You see the problem here?
And lastly, I'm not hater. Far from it. I've been a loyal customer for 20 years which is why it's so sad and frustrating to me.
It's just that I hate to watch this slow yet steady progression into the pale grey realms of un-configurability...

Thanks to a Youtube video, I did find a way to rearrange photos in our Photo App, but it requires making one or more of your own albums. You still can't rearrange photos inside of the albums that you have sync-ed from iTunes. Once you make a new Album, the iPad will automatically ask you which of the photos you want to add to this new album. Once you complete this process, view the photos in the new album...then select the Edit button in the upper right that looks like a box with an arrow coming out of it. Now just touch a photo and pause for a second. It will enlarge slightly and you can now slide it around. Click DONE in the upper right when you are finished.
Another way of viewing photos in a custom order involves using Dropbox. Place photos in your "Favorites" area and you can reorder to your heart's content. I know this has nothing to do with the sync-ed photos, but it is another method....
In the end we are still stuck with whatever order iTunes places the photos in our sync-ed Albums.

Actually, you can do this if the date is sequential. I have 35K of photos, and 280 events. They are sorted by date, using year, month, and sometimes day as the title. If it is more specific, I use year,month,trip information, for example.

PDF Extract with CR XI SP2 can't contain the tree navigation.

During the training, I attend at BO on Crystal Report XI SP2, when I made a PDF export, I was allowed to choose if I want the Tree Navigation or not in the PDF file.
Currently my report ".rpt" are set-up with a tree navigation, but there is no the "Checkbox" on the Export Window for PDF.
Are they any set-up required on Crystal Report XI SP2

Hi
By defat, you should get the Check box for "Create bookmarks from group tree". In case you are not getting that, you can check the following:
1. Click on Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Select Crystal Reports XI R2 and click on Change.
2. You would get the CR set up dialog box. Click on Add/Remove.
3.Exapand the Export Support ->Click on the drop down of Acrobat PDF Format -> Click on Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive.
4.Click on Next -> Next -> Finish.
Restart Crystal Reports.

How can you opening the tree.jsp page to a specific folder?

I am trying to pass a query string into the viewer.jsp page so that I can open the appropriate folder relating to that query string. I can't find a way to do this as of yet. A lot of the code doing the work is only .class files so it is challenging.
If you have any ideas as to how to begin to tackle this problem please let me know. Basically the querystring would contain the folder I want the tree to open to.
