Can i reauthorize a computer that I've deauthorized?

One of the computers that I've authorized for home sharing, can no longer see my library?  If I deauthorize all, can I reauthorize easily?

Yes.
Authorization and Deauthorization
Macs:  iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
More On De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
  1. Open iTunes on a computer
  2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
  5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

If you've got 5 computers authorised for the account in question, and you need to free up authorizations, I'd do a "Deauthorize All" from one of the computers you have access to, and then reauthorize the computers you have access to.
For instructions, see the following document:
iTunes Store: About authorization and deauthorization
(Best to deauthorise a computer before you reinstall the OS on it.)

  • How can i deauhorize a computer that doesnt work anymore?

How can i deauthorize a computer that doesnt work anymore?

    Hi,
If you can't start iTunes on a computer, you can't deauthorize.  But really, don't worry for the reason that, once you will reach the 5 authorizations you are allowed to, you will be able to use the "deauthorize all computer" option to reset all of them (this can be done once per year).
i would also like to change my main device to my new computer.
I don't understand this one.  As of computer authorization, there isn't any "main" device.

You cannot, nor do you need to, until you reach the limit of 5.  Once you reach 5, then you can deauthorize all, and then authorize the active computers.

  • I bought music under a different apple id and can't play it with my new apple id. How can I reauthorize my computer for that music?

I am trying to reauthorize my computer to play music I purchased from itunes under an old apple id. When I changed my ID I could no longer play anything I purchased previously but I can't find how to get apple (or my computer) to recognize that its my music. I get a message saying I must authorize this computer to play music bought by this (old Apple ID). Anyone know how to get around this problem?

In iTunes pull down Store menu > Authorize and type the credentials.

  • How can I deauthorize a computer that can no longer connect to the internet or is no longer working ?

How can I deauthorize Itunes on a computer that can no longer connect to the internet or is no longer working ?

You can't, which shouldn't be a problem unless you have 4 other computers authorized with the iTunes account and you need to authorize another.
Once you have authorized 5 computers, you can de-authorize all computere from a computer that is currently authorized followed re-authorizing the current active computers that need to be authorized.

  • HT1420 how can I deathorize a computer that has been destroyed?

I had iTunes on a work computer that I had to turn in and it was completely wiped.  I only uninstalled iTunes and I did not deauthorize it.  How can I delete it without having the computer any more?

Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them. Otherwise when you reach the 5 computer limit then you can log into your account and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

  • How can you tell which computer that is authorized as the master?

I have several computers that I have connected my iPhone to. How can I tell which computer I should connect to before updating the operating system? I don't want to loss data if I don't have to.

I am not that familiar with Apple and iTunes and was getting help from someone who said that I can plug my iPhone into my computers but that I would have to authorize the iPhone on each but the limit is 5.
    This is not accurate.
You can authorize up to 5 computers with the same iTunes account. There is no device limit for the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer.
An iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on one computer only, and photos can be transferred from one computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first.
This is why I asked - you have connected your iPhone to each one of these computers for what?
I was not sure which computer I first used. Is there a simple way to check?
No, or I would have provided that with my first reply.
If you connect your iPhone to a "non-master" computer to install the update, you will be provided a warning.
How many computers are you talking about? If 5 or less, this should take you no more than 10 minutes to determine which computer you transferred music and photos from.

We had 5 computers authorized for itunes but have 3 of them that are no longer useable and no one deauthorized them and now we have a new computer that we can't authorize becuase it says we have 5 already.

You cannot deauthorize a computer that you do not have access to.
You would have to deauthorize all, then authorize the active computers.
