Can I receive and send a wifi signal at the same time on my MBP?

Okay, so here's the deal. I recently moved across from where I was living. My old place is still using my internet and wifi. It is strong enough for me to pick it up on my MBP, but not strong enough for my iPhone 5. I know the Mac only has one wifi channel, so it can only send a signal if it is hooked up by ethernet.
Is there a way for my MBP to connect via wifi and then send a signal out for my phone?
Would a dongle work? If so, how could I set that up?

your mac have one Wireless network card ,so you can connect to a lan or share a lan
but not in a time use one card.
if you have two cards , i think it will be. i mean , you can buy a usb wireless card and try it

How to acquire analog signal and send a TTL pulse at the same time based on PXI 6123

Hi,
I am using a PXI-6123 data acquisition card, as the picture show in the attachment ,I want to acquire the analog signal of ai0 through reference analog window and at the same time send a TTL signal to trigger my camera. I have tried two methods, one is using the DAQmx Export signal.vi another is using DAQmx connect terminals, but when the data acquisition card acquire the analog signal, the DAQmx Export signal.vi and the DAQmx connect terminals sometime can send an TTL pulse ,sometime can not.
I don’t know why? or some other method that can achieve my arm is appreciated.

Have things changed over the years?
I need to syncronise a digital output (Modul NI9474) and an analoge input (AI-Modul NI9203) module. I need to measure time intervals from a flank in signal A to a flank in signal B. I would like accuracies of the order of 1 ms. Currently, the signals are not synchronised, with errors of the order of 2 times the block length (block size x sample rate), sometimes much higher. The best I got so far was a block size of around 20 with a sample rate of 1 kHz.
If I use the master and slave settings on the RTSL settings, my program doesn't run properly.
If I use digital signals for input and output, I can syncronise them with RTSL settings and everything is good, but I can't always do that.
Also, if I do anything in the GUI (such as scrollowing something or going to another window), my output gets screwed up properly.
1. What can be done to synchronise AI with DO?
2. Is there something that can be done to avoid messing up the output when something happens in the user interface? (I know that I am messing up the outputs as they make some valves switch and that is loud).

How to input/output a digital signal and acquire an analog signal at the same time?

When I use DasyLab to acquire the analog signals is no problem without digital inputs and outputs,
and when I use DasyLab to input or output a digital signal is no problem also, but when I do that at the
same time, DasyLab tell me the rate is too high and stop.
so, I searched the manual book1 (user guide) for that, it showed me :
To internally equalize measurement time and system time in the analog input, digital input and counter
hardware modules, use the following settings:
   Synchronization: PC Clock
   Sampling rate: <= 5Hz
   Block size: =1
the problem is, if I set the Sampling rate to 5Hz, the speed of the acquirement datas is not enough for my
application.

Can you charge and play shuffle (2nd gen) at the same time?!

we purchased a shuffle to run our 'on hold' music at work, and its a pain in the arse to remember to charge it every night. im so used to my iPod video that lets me charge and play at the same time...

But now that you've mentioned yours is a 1st Gen Shuffle... 1st Gen Shuffles ARE available from the online Apple Store as refurbished for $49. Perhaps she should think about getting one of those?

I've gone back to having the same old menu of: File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Yahoo! (?), Tools and Help.
What I do now, everytime I come back to Firefox, is going through History menu and restore the last session. It works.

Thanks for the fast reply....I have gone though this list (some aren't appropriate) and the touch doesn't see the shared itunes....I'm listening to the iphone right now so most have to be right. I've restarted the pod and itunes and shut off the iphone and the pod shows no change even after home sharing is activated by apple id and password. Restarting the airport extreme seems unnecessary because it works fine with the phone. Firewall is off.

I have two macs with wireless N in my home, and two pc's with wireless G. Can the airport express broadcast a wireless G and N signal at the same time? or does it need to be one or the other?

I want to have my verizon wifi on at the same time as my time capsules wifi but I don't know if it interfere. There's an app that you can use as a remote for your cable box but you need to be on your routers wifi.

Suggest that you run a few speed checks on both wireless networks with a computer in same room as the wireless router using a site like www.speedtest.net on your browser.
If you are getting close to your plan speeds, then you likely do not have interference issues.
Most routers will scan to find the best available channel to use, so assuming that your equipment is working OK, things should be OK. Try to keep the Verizon router and Time Capsule at least 6-8 feet, or a few meters from each other.
This assumes that you are not living in a crowded situation like an apartment complex, where intereference is pretty much a fact of life due to the very limited number of wireless channels that are available.

If the difference is within ~10db there's not much to worry about.
Now if you see -130 and -80 that is an issue. (talk to your carrier)
But if you see -60 and -75, both phones are operating normally.
What are the iPhones in question?
Are you both on the same network? (what network(s) are you on?)
What data connection is available on each phone? (3G/4G/LTE)
Are the iOS and Carrier settings up-to-date?

Send two signals at the same time to serial

I have a problem in that I want to control some relay boards by serial. The boards have an address byte (to determine which of the three relay boards) and a relay combination (four relays on each board). The .vi I will need to make will be sending data to the serial as a result of feedback from sensors (they are currently simply controlled by timers to simulate) so there is a good chance that there will be two relay addresses sent at the same time and consequently much confusion. The timed simulation demonstrates this possibility by switching all relays on at the start.
Is there a way of avoiding this? Any help would be much appreciated.

When you say send to multiple boards "at the same time" exactly what to you mean? On a serial port only one byte at a time can be sent. You do not specify how many bytes are sent to each board to handle the addressing, the data, and any EOT (End of Transmission) characters.
I can think of two possibilities.
1. Relays are slow. If the transmission rate is fast enough, you could send messages to all relays sequentially over the serial port but still have the appearance of simultaneous activation of the relays. If the relays switch in 10 ms and each command contains 6 bytes, sending the data at 115 kilobaud would take about 1.5 ms for three boards. This would likely be close enough to simultaneous for relays.
2. Add a command similar to the GPIB GET (Group Execute Trigger). All devices on the bus respond to this command by executing a previously stored command. No addressing is used for this command. This does require that the relay boards be modified to respond to their address and to the common or group address and to store a command for later execution.

Normally yes, Bluetooth can connect to multiple devices at the same time, so yes.
The only thing is that you'll be able to send sound/music to only one at a time, but I understand the Garmin HUD doesn't play sounds.

I can't measure many signals at the same time using the DAQCard-AI-16XE-50.

I'm using a Compaq Presario 1655 laptop with a DAQCard-AI-16XE-50 on the PCMCIA slot, and LabVIEW 6i and MAX 2.0.
I have a SCXI-1001 Chassis with SCXI-1122 and its terminal block SCXI-1322 installed (I have others too).
I'm trying to measure some signals at the same time, for instance, measuring 2 load cells signals, and a frequency of an indutive sensor (using the analog way with the "Extract Single Tone Information.vi").
I realized that I can't measure at the same time my signals, neither the load cells - a 10608 error occurrs "NI-DAQ LV: No transfer in progress for the specified resource".
What's the problem?
Some DAQCard limitation? Configuration?

By your description I'm assuming you are trying to read those analog inputs in parallel. The SCXI-1122 doesn't have that feature. All the analog inputs will be multiplexed to one single Analog Input channel on your DAQ board. If you need to make measurements in parallel, you need to use one of the SCXI modules that allows that operation.
