Can I recover emails that were blocked when my storage was full?

The storage on icloud was full for me for perhaps a number of days. I bought extra storage (20GB) and my emails are now working, but how can I recover the emails that were blocked when my storage was full?

Yes.  I tried the refresh and checked the uninstall tab.  Still nothing.  Another thing though - when I entered my Blackberry ID, it would not let me use my screen name because it was supposedly already in use.  But I knew that because it was in use by me.  It would only let me use the same name with a numerical suffix.  So I am wondering if it thinks I am still logged on from before the upgrade.  Also, is it possible the Playbook thinks I am some other use and won't let me access my files - like photos and videos, etc.

You will need to do that by syncing them with a computer and then syncing the computer with the iPad.

  • Can I recover pictures that were accidentally deleted?

Help! I need to recover pictures that were deleted..is this possible??

Only if you had them backed up somewhere.     If you had them on your SD card, there is SD card recovery software that might be able to retrieve them.  I haven't used one in quite a while, so can't suggest one, but you could do an internet search.

  • Can you recover files that were deleted?

Hi everyone, is there anyway to find files that were deleted about 2-3 months ago? I don't have timeline and carbonite does not show the files either so they have to have been deleted over a month ago. I am a photographer and cannot find a clients session and I am afraid it was deleted...
    Thanks,

    Basics of File Recovery
    Files in Trash
If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location.  OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.
If you empty the Trash the files are gone. If a program does an immediate delete rather than moving files to the Trash, then the files are gone.  Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When files are deleted only the directory entries, not the files themselves, is modified. The space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage, but the files are still on the drive. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.
    General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten by using recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro.  Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.  Two free alternatives are Disk Drill and TestDisk.  Look for them and demos at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

Unfortunately, after such a long time, if the drive has been in use then the space occupied by the deleted files has most likely been overwritten by new files making the old ones unrecoverable.

  • How can I delete emails that only appear when I do a spotlight search?

I have a number of emails that are only locatable through a spotlight search which I am unable to delete. They all appear to be unread, although they were read. The only options I have when I bring them up are to "Cancel" or "Send". Choosing "Cancel" brings me to whichever email account I was most recently using. Hitting "Send" does, indeed, send them, but makes them no easier to delete.

The only way to delete them from the Spotlight cache is to totally restore your iPad as new.
Those emails will not show up in the mail app if you tap on then in the spotlight search. They have been removed from the device and will not reopen in the mail app.

  • How do I get back old emails that were lost when I changed my email address?

I changed email providers. I have the new account set up. I then went to Tools/Account Settings/Account Actions. I then removed the old account (assuming that it would stay in my inbox and just not try to send or receive) and all of the old incoming and sent emails that I had been saving under that account in my inbox and sent files folders disappeared. How do I get them back?

Which program do you use for email: Thunderbird? Outlook Express? Other?
As you may know, you can set up accounts using two different protocols: POP3 and IMAP. With POP3, you actually download copies of all mail and Sent messages are stored locally. Removing your account should be no problem. With IMAP, you are viewing a mirror of your mail which really lives on the server. Removing an IMAP account might remove the folders, although I can't recall ever trying it.

  • How can I recover pics that were deleted/emptied from the trash?

I deleted a folder that was named incorrectly, and it turned out to be the bulk of my photos. How can I recover these files if the trash was emptied. This is years of pictures.

    Your back up?
Other than that... File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

  • How can I retrieve emails that were deleted off my iPhone 4s when I changed the password to my email acccount?

I changed the password to my email account and when I changed it in my phone all of my emails were deleted Is there any way to retrieve them? They are in the server and I can access them via Outlook just not on my iPhone or iPad.

They won't be in icloud, since the only thing that would contain pictures are backups.  But they were deleted before you signed up for icloud, so forget that.  The only other thing to check is you computer.  Users are always advised to sync photos to computers for archiving.  If you did that, you should be able to find them there.  But without any backups or copies of them, then they are history.
And no, you can't look at pictures in icloud.

  • Can I recover notes that were deleted upon the removal of an email account?

I recently deleted the e-mail account of a prior employer to which was associated most of my notes in the Note app.  I had no idea that notes were even associated with each email account, but now about 50% of what I was using is simply gone.  Ironically, that email account was no longer connected to the company server as I am working elsewhere, so no backup will exist there.  I do not have an itune backup recent enough to be of any value.  The icloud and gmail accounts each have some of their own notes, but none of them have the missing notes.
So, is there any signature left of the files in the physical memeory of my ipad?  If so, is there an app which will let me look for them.  To be honest, this is kind of disappointing for apple in that quite a few folks have no idea of the association, though I should have had some more recent itune backups.  Particularly since an inactive connection to the email server automatically implies there is no backup anywhere.  I wish I would have known that tidbit.

  • How can I recover documents that were stores in the pages app?

I have an original iPad. This evening, as I was using it, I got a message that an update was available for pages. I selected "update". It attempted to install the new pages and froze. I connect to iTunes to try to get it back to old version of pages (the new versions won't work on the original iPad) by restoring to back-up. That resulted in deleting the pages app.
Ahhhh!!!! I need my documents! They had been backed up to iTunes and it was recently backed up to iCloud.
Someone please help me figure out how to find my docs!!!
    THANK YOU

  • Any way to identify emails that were open when Mail crashed?

Admittedly, I probably had too many emails sitting open (plus a bunch of open tabs in 3 different browsers).
Mail crashes, and I Force Quit.
When I reopen mail, a few emails do repoen, but the majority do not.
Is there any way of identifying which emails were open at crash time? It's sort of my to-do list. Admittedly, not the best way to go.
I'm on 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, MacBook Pro mid-2010.
