Your iPad's Camera Roll photos are saved on your last iTunes (or iCloud) backup.
Restore the backup, and you will retrieve the photos.

No. If you restored the device to an older backup, then the device was brought back to that date and time, which was before those photos were taken. When you restored the device, it deleted everything off the phone and replaced it with the earlier information.

I recently had to restore my iphone to factory settings. My phone had not been backing up for about a month, it said that the backup could not be saved on the computer. I thought I had it figured out, but before I could get a recent backup, my iphone crashed. Itunes attempted a backup, and actually wrote files to the .../mobilesync directory, but I itunes does not recognize the backup. Is there a way to extract my pictures and videos from the files?

The first step of the sync process will back up your iPhone automatically. You can also right click on your device in the left side column in iTunes and select backup to do a manual backup. Only one backup is stored on your computer so each time you back up it will overwrite the current backup. -

I recently bought an iphone 4s and had them transfer my information from the old device to the new one. Later I noticed that all the pictures had been transfered from itunes album covers to my camera roll in doubles also, I went home and ignorantly did a device restore from a backup. This is a new iphone, no backup had been made, but I did it using my old phone's info which was 6 months old, so I lost 6 months of videos and pictures, any help?
OK, thanks KiltedTim and chrisfromgastonia, I just wanted to confirm my suspicions ... However......... The guys at "Best Buy Mobile" told me that all my info was going to be kept in their "transfering device" (the one used to transfer my data there) for about 2 days, and that if I had any trouble to just go back and see them.... I'm on my way (it just ocurred to me). Thanks guys..

Please help me!!! The lock button on top of my Iphone 4 is pushed down completely and is stuck! And then yesterday I looked down and my iphone was completely black. It would not turn on seeing as how I could not push the top button to reset it to turn back on and then also it would not respond to a charge. I was wondering if anyone could suggest anything at all in how to turn it back on and bring it back to life and if there was any way I could save my photos and such off there! Thank you!!
