Can I recover playlists I deleted?

I accidentally deleted my playlists from iTunes. Can I recover them?

Restore from your backup from just before you deleted the playlists.

How can I recover a note that I accidentally deleted from my iPhone 4?

I'm not a Mac user, but google showed this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3824044?start=0&tstart=0.  If that doesn't help, you should google "sync notes to macbook" and see if you find something that does.

  • How can I recover my accidentaly deleted address book?

I was working in my address book this morning and selected a contact that I wanted to delete. When I pressed the delete button, all of a sudden my entire address book dissapeared. I'm fairly sure I only selected the specific contact, but apparently somehow my entire address book got deleted with it.
I can still see the two default address books of thunderbird on the left side, but they always have been and still are empty. The third address book (the one that I've been using the past years), is completely gone.
I have tried to recover the address book in multiple ways:
    - looked in the recycle bin of my computer and of thunderbird, but there was nothing to be found in both of them
    - I used the 'undo' button about 4 to 5 times, but nothing happened unfortunately. Ctrl+z didn't give any response as well
    - I waited with closing thunderbird, untiI I looked up my Thunderbird profile in user/appdata/roaming/thunderbird/profiles/****.defaul. I copied the abook.mab file to another directory, closed thunderbird and restarted it. Unfortunately this didn't help either.
    - I've also tried to recover any deleted files on my entire computer using Recuva software. I haven't been able to find anything related to the address book thought.
Is there any way to retrieve/recover my thunderbird address book?
I haven't been able to find a good solution online as of yet. But I figure it can't just be completely gone after I've clicked teh delete button by accident, right?
I'm using thunderbird 24.4.0 on Windows 8.1. Currently I am not using a tool to synchronise the address book to my google account, because I'm working with the maillinglist and I haven't found a way to synchronise them fully. So there's no recent backup of the address book unfortunately.
I really hope you can help me with this. Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot for your fast reply!
I've tried both options you gave, but unfortunately didn't manage to restore/retrieve any data from the file. The MoreFunctionsForAddressBook add on is very user friendly however and easy to work with.
I also found a few threads that explain that it is possibe to open the original abook.mab file in a text editor and delete some entries in it, to 'turn back' the command that said to delete the addressbook in the first place.
This is the one I've found and tried to follow: http://www.pirules.org/blog/?page_id=312 and
I've played around with it a bit, and managed to retrieve the specific address I was meaning to delete at the time the whole addressbook got accidentaly deleted. I didn't manage to retrieve the full addressbook though, mostly because I have a hard time understanding the code language that is used in the file....
Could this be an option for me? And if so, how do I determine which entry to delete from the file and which one to leave alone?

  • Can I recover playlists in the icloud?

    OS X Mavericks (version 10.9.5)
13 in. Macbook Air (purchased 8/2013)
    iTunes 12 (just installed yesterday)
I have not upgrade to Yosemite yet but the other day I did install the security patach and the new iTunes 12. Since then, I am missing over 1/2 my playlists and the existing playlists have missing songs. I am NOT missing any songs in my library but the playlists are really messed up.
I don't keep my iTunes library on my macbook air but rather on an external drive. The same external drive is the one I use to backup via Time Machine.
I don't mind iTunes 12, per se, so I'm not interested in reverting back to v.11 as support keeps suggesting. I just want my playlists back the way they were before the upgrade. Is there a way to access my old xml(?) file to ovverride the new one? I'm not sure how this works. I am confused by the whole xml file thing and I can't find any old ones either, so if you can explain in laymen terms, that would help a lot.
Unfortunately, my iPad mini has already synced automatically to my macbook and so the playlists are messed up there, as well. It looks like my iPod touch (4 generation) hasn't been effected yet.

So this is a disaster now. I followed the link that Linc Davis posted and tried to follow it. Halfway through the import, it says disk full and I realize it's importing back to the macbook's hard drive, not my external drive which is where my iTunes library maps to. I have way too much music to keep on my macbook so I rerouted the library to a 2 TB external hard drive awhile back.
Now, not only are the playlist not recovered, but I'm missing half my music.
I just want this to go back to yesterday before the update. I've never restored the whole system before using Time machines. Should I just do that? If so, how??

  • IPod shows NO music but "data" is there! How can I recover Playlists, etc?

Turned on my iPod (Windows formatted) and it showed NO music/content at all, like it was completely blank. Asked for Language selection on boot-up, etc.
The home computer is in another state, so I can't just resync to restore the music and playlists. iTunes shows the iPod as having 55GB of "data", but it doesn't show up on the player. It's like the internal database became corrupt.
I've tried a couple of data recovery programs, but nothing works. I'm primarily interested in recovering the PLAYLISTS. I have a backup of all the music, but the playlists took a long time to assemble.
Unless there's an easier fix (I've tried restarting the iPod, etc.) is there a location on the iPod (using Anapod Explorer or something) where the Playlist data is stored? I looked in the ".Trashes" and other folders but didn't see anything resembling Playlist data.

Have you tried Don King's method as outlined here?
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=915194#915194
Don't know if it will recover the playlist structure though.

  • How can I recover a recently deleted personal video on iPad air

I recently took a personal video and deleted it 2 hours ago.  How can I get it back. I was not in wifi when I recorded it or deleted it.

It's gone. There was no way it could have backed up to iCloud and you didn't backup to iTunes so there is no way to recover it now.

  • Can I recover photos I deleted but I can still see thumbnails in my iPhoto?

I accidentally deleted the actual images but the thumnails, from the import, still shows up in my iPhoto. Is there anyway I can recover the files?
    Thank you

That's my problem, on every other computer I upload to, this option works. I use the same procedure on this laptop and none of my new uploads appear when I select Media, photos, iPhoto. The new content is unavailable for selection to upload.

  • Can you recover mail from deleted account?

Using Mail 2.0.5, I kept getting a message that port 25 was blocked, and couldn't receive mail from that account. I didn't think to check .mac for solution, but created a new mail account under a different name, with the same settings. When it worked, I deleted the original account...but didn't realize I'd lose all the mail associated with it in my mail program. Thought it would be stored someplace, but I can't find it anywhere. Is there any way to recover mail from a deleted Mail account?

Never did find a solution to this. However because we are using IMAP accounts most of the mail was cached on the client Macs. So I offlined them, loaded Mail, copied all the mail into local mailboxes, recreated the users, went online and copied the mail back into the new hierarchy.
Still can't believe I did such a daft thing!

  • Can you recover a recently deleted voicemail?

I accidently just deleted an important voicemail off my phone. Is there any way to get it back?

If you are using Visual Voicemail, or a third party service like You Mail or Google Voicemail, then you can check the trash bin and see if it may still be there.
Using Verizon's standard voicemail, there is an option while you are in the voicemail to listen to recently deleted messages, and you can restore from there.  If you have deleted a message and then left the voicemail system, I don't think there is a way to recover deleted messages.

  • Can I recover photos I deleted with time capsule?

    Hi,
I am trying to recover 1 year full of photos (aprox 10,000) from my macbook pro. the memory is almost running out of my hard drive and when this happened around last year I did a backup of my entire computer with an WD external HS, and thought I had saved them. Now I cannot find my old photos on the external HD. I do not know the path to the photos and it is not easy to find them by looking at backups through path names. They were on the original path of the default iPhoto library. From the library, I can only see a few photos, which are not the originals I loaded.
    Questions:
    1. Since I cannot find them on the HD (which is 3/4 full now) I wonder if I could recover them by using time capsute?
    2. I would also like to know if I use time capusule, and recover those files, do I loose the new ones?
    3. What is the path to identify where photos are in iPhoto?
    4. How do I only retrieve photos from the HD, I find it impossible to do this the way the data has been saved. I am trying to group all photos into anther HD.
    Thanks,
    Helene

How was the backup to Time Capsule done?
If done with Time Machine, you do realize that files backed up by Time Machine are not kept forever.
How full is the drive on Time Capsule?
1, The iPhoto library is usually kept in ~/Piucture/iPhoto Library which is a database. It is usually recommeded that you don't access this directly but use iPhoto.
2, I would copy iPhoto Library to another place just in case.
3, ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library unless you moved it some place else instead.
4, The directions to move the iPhoto library are in this article

  • How can I recover or restore, deleted pro tools documents

I have recently deleted some of my pro tools le documents/files. Can anyone help me retrieve them? (Mac os x 10.5)

Depending on what files / documents you deleted you might be in a world of hurt. If they are audio files and you have a back up, you can restore them to the sessions audio files folder. If it's the session file that you deleted, and you have auto session back-up enabled, then you can launch your session from the most recent session back-up file (located in the session folder, session file back-ups folder). Launching the session this way will also tell you what if any audio files, fade files are missing. You might post additional ProTools related questions to the Digidesign support site, specifically the DUC. Lots of info there.

  • Can one recover a video deleted from iPhoto?

How does one recover a photo or video deleted from iPhoto?

Where did the photo or video come from?
If it originated from the camera roll, it will have been backed up to iCloud with your most recent iCloud backup, see: iCloud: Backup and restore overview
the Camera roll photos will be visible in the Photo Stream on any other device you are syncing with the IOS device. iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
If your photos have been synced to iPhoto IOS via iTunes from a computer, simply sync again.

  • TS4337 How can I recover all my deleted iCal events?

My children were playing around on the computer, and for some reason, all my iCal events were deleted. I doubt that they purposefully went through all my events and deleted each one. I checked icloud with no luck, it's still an empty calendar. It's the same way on my phone as well.
How do I get all my events back?!

    - On your syncing computer go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and see if you do have a backup, if so restore from that backup. When you sync to iTunes the first step is making a backup
    - If you use PhotoStream you may be able to get them fromn yuor steam. See that topic of:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Note that the backup and PhotoStream only included photos in your iPod's Camera Roll  (or Saved Photos) album. Photos synced to the iPod are not included.
