And, as soon as I do try to redeem it again, I lose the ability to see my account info under settings/store unless I do another log out/restore.

    It actually just randomly worked.  All I kept doing was logging out and then back in to the App Store trying (and re-trying) the code, and finally it took.  I doubt it permanently fixed it, and I'm actually dreading if I get another gift card to use.  Good luck.

    You can't from Apple, they don't let you buy iTunes gift cards with an Apple Store gift card. You could see if a different store in your country might let you (though they possibly won't), or try selling the card to somebody e.g. family, friend, eBay etc

    While updating i read the notes about how you can now redeem gift cards with the built in webcam on the Mac App Store, Opened it up and Clicked Redeem > signed in la di da, and it doesnt seem to work for me.

    Hi ChuckN,
    I have installed the update at home on an older 27" iMac, a new retina macbook pro 15", an older macbook air  and a recent 21" iMac and on none of them does the redeem by camera option show up.
    I would say to our north American friends this is something that has been working for you for a while and has only been announced as available in AU with the latest update for our region this week. Sadly updates don't always work straight up.
    I am hopeful there is something I have not turned on but think I may need to wait for another update.

    I thought So too but then I went to Itunes Library and try and buy a single song from an album for $1.29.  Now my Itunes Gift card balance is $ 7.10 as I mentioned earlier. it still did not let me buy and kept trying billing my Visa card.
    Should I restart my PC and Itunes and retry. What do you suggest?
