need to re enable add on's all at once just as was dsbled all at once. when i went to safe mode without add on's, did that to try and figure out why firefox takes 15-20 seconds to startup , safe mode without ad on's did Not fix the slo start up thanks Folks
i use WOT 7-4-2011 and Bettery Privacy 1.67 all other add on's are provided by the windows system w7 home premium

When you go into Safe Mode your extensions, plug-ins, themes, are all automatically disabled.
You should NOT checkmark any item while in Safe Mode on that dialog. It is preposterous that those were added to Safe Mode and even more so that they were never removed.

It can be a pain the re-enable all of the extensions, but I think just hitting the "Enable" button for each extension would probably be the fastest. Even with 120 or more extensions. But you could go into your profile and
rename the following files - '''extensions.sqlite''', extensions.sqlite-journal, extensions.rdf and '''extensions.ini''' to extensionsOLD.sqlite, etc, etc. These files will be recreated when Firefox is restarted, all the extensions will be active. At least that is the case for me as I have compatibility testing turned off

After 3.6.10 all add-ons disappeared and a search for updates showed none needed. How do I get them back?

I am running on a Mac OSX 10.6.4. After updating Firefox to 3.6.10, a few add-on disappeared. Specifically, Delicious, 1Password, Stumble ON and Buckts. I looked for updates and none were available. I've run through the view menu and preferences but can't find an option to restore these functions. Do all these add-ons need to be updated to be compatible with 3.6.10 or is there something in the update that wiped out these views.

Add-ons that worked in 3.6.9 and earlier versions of 3.6 should also work in 3.6.10.
The first thing I would try is to delete the files that store details of installed add-ons. If one of those files is corrupt it can cause problems with add-ons not being listed. Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

How can I transfer all my photos on iPhone to iCloud for archive and delete them off my phone?

I do not want to simply backup my phone with iCloud. My iPhone's memory is full and I would like to transfer all my 10,000+ photos to iCloud for safe keeping, and delete them off my phone. Could I do that? I know that iCloud is typically used for backing up the phone and works like a 'mirror' to the phone, but I want to use it more as an archive drive. Please advise!

The only iCloud feature that meets this requirement is the iCloud Photo Library (Beta). I don't think that I would trust all my photos to a Beta-level product.
You could create a Dropbox Account and move the photos to it or move the photos to your computer.

When you open Firefox in Safe Mode, it automatically disables your custom settings, themes, and add-ons. THOSE changes are temporary.
However, if you click any of the boxes underneath the line, "You can make some or all of these changes permanent", and then choose "Make Changes and Restart", everything you checked will be forever changed, even when you start Firefox again in 'normal' mode. [See attached image for a preview of the Safe Mode options].
To be clear:
1. If you check any of the boxes but do NOT select "Make changes and restart", those things will not be changed at all in safe mode.
2. If you select any of the boxes and you DO select "Make changes and restart", you will permanently lose any of the items you checked (bookmarks (except for backups), user preferences, etc.).
If you performed the action in step 2 above, you will only be able to restore those things if you have a previously created back-up of your Mozilla Profiles folder (not the same as the Firefox program folder).

How can I turn ALL notifications off at once?

Before upgrading to iOS5, I could turn off ALL notifications with ONE swipe and all back on with one swipe... I do that when I go to sleep, because otherwise, my phone lighting up over & over wakes me up somestimes... and I don't want to be awakened by notifications. But when I am awake, I want the notifications.
But it looks like with the new iOS5, you have to turn EACH one off individually... then turn them all back on individually. PLEASE someone tell me I'm wrong, that I'm missing something somewhere. That is a MAJOR HASSLE!!!! There HAS to be a way to turn ALL notifications off and back on in ONE step... PLEASE!
If not, HOW can we BEG Apple to FIX this horrible mistake? Because if this feature is gone, that's a MASSIVE error on Apple's part!! WHY they would remove that option is beyond stupid! So I really hope someone can tell me I'm missing something... I've searched and checked all over, but I don't see any way to turn ALL off at once, then turn ALL back on at once. Yeah, it's even worse than I thought. I first turned off the Notification center on each app... STILL got notifications. So then I changed the alert style to "NONE" instead of alerts or banners. And last night I STILL got notifications!! OMG how difficult is it to turn these things off??? So now I ALSO turned off "Badge App Icon" figuring that MUST be it. Haven't gotten any yet, so I guess that's it.
But REALLY?? For EACH and EVERY app we have to do THREE STEPS??? Really SIX steps... 3 to turn off, and then 3 to turn back on!! ARE YOU KIDDING APPLE??

You need to have a gmail account.
Gmail can handle a vcard file that contains multiple contacts
In a next step you can then synch the BB with Gmail including mail, contacts and calendar.
Maybe this is an option (I quite like it as I always ave my contacts stored in the cloud and in case my BB is broken I do not care as I am not loosing anything...

A mass selection or multi-conversation select would be a very nice feature to have. I, like others, receive automated text notifications from motion sensors, emails, etc. Each message comes from a unique number so it's not as simple as deleting a single conversation. PLEASE, Apple, consider what I would think would be an easy addition to the functionality of the iOS.

Firefox crashing 6.0.2, a dozen times or more a day even after starting in safe mode, disabling add-ons and going through all the guides on Firefox crashes

I've done 3 uninstalls, 2 of them all the way, one keeping the customizations. I have reinstalled each time. I've updated my plug-ins, restarted in safe mode with everything disabled (including plug-ins and add-ons) and am going nuts trying to figure out why Mozilla keeps crashing. It ALWAYS crashes on the Firefox add-on page, it sometimes crashes on Youtube and Facebook and rarely on google pages. I have ran MalwareBytes, SuperAnti-Spyware, Norton scans and Norton Power Eraser, they all say that I am clean, my computer is clean and the worse thing they can find are cookies.

I have firefox 10.0.1, after the 10 update the text looks all blurry. If I put it in safe mode the text is fine. What could be causing this? I have reset all defaults and disabled add-ons

Can't get the software to run/install after downloading for HP Support site.

I have window 8 OS and recently purchase a HP Ofiicejet J4680 printer(All-In-One). The software CD for the print was only for window OS 2000, XP and Vista. I went to the HP support site and it had a software download for my OS. But after I downloaded and tried to install I got nothing. When I click run/open it shows "Extracting". Once it finishes extracting it just close and I can't find the .exe/setup.exe to run and install software. What am I doing wrong?

Recently, my mid 2010 MacBook Pro has started acting up when I am on Safari. Safari would unexpectedly crash multiple times in a row, then run fine for a while, then again, crash repeatedly. Not long after this began happening, an error message from my Prosoft Drive Genius 3 software, threw out a message that a serious error had occurred and I needed to repair the HD volume. Before I was able to run the software to repair the HD volume, the machine stopped working. I turned off the Macbook and when I tried to restart, it would not boot. I have since removed all external hardware from my machine and tried several times, unsuccessfully, to boot. I have also tried booting in safe mode when also does not work.

Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time. (four keys together)

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

Try to give you phone as much free space as you can. Copy all data you don't need to your computer.
Delete the photos from the camera roll after you transferred them as well, same for music, videos, podcasts, etc.
Back up manually before you do this by right clicking on your device and choosing "backup".
