Is there any differences between phone language while installing software updates.
With your Nokia 303, no.
Moron wrote:
Is the language affect on software update quality, like english is best or any other languages?
Not applicable as per answer above. Everything depends on your Nokia Product Code.
Moron wrote:
Is there any languages will be removed after updates?
If that happens, something more severe is wrong right now, like a Nokia Product Code mismatch of the hardware/software. That is unnormal, therefore, loosing languages is not normal either. Just check the 7-letter code of the label of your phone, whether it matches the one displayed in the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. If they match, you are not going to loose languages.

You should ask in that thread which matches your target firmware version and model number. Then, somebody with your phone can answer that question directly:
A) 14.87 …
B) 14.76 …

You should make a backup with the PC Suite, the Nokia Suite and via the Menu » Settings » Sync and Backup » Create Backup (microSD required). Then, you can choose which backup worked best.

  • How can I remove Apple Software update from Programs in Control Panel. I grt a message that there is an error in Windows Installer Package?

I get this message: "A program required for this install to complete could not be run.
There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package". OS, Windows 7-64

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion or Mountain Lion to Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Lion, or Mountain Lion installed. Purchase and download Mavericks (Free) from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
         OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

i have iphone 4s from japan which is a carrier locked (kddi ) it has ios 5.1.1 and now i want to upgrade to ios 6.Can i do the software update or it will cause any harm???

If you have a Japanese iPhone and are using it with any carrier other than Softbank or AU, then it was hacked, since as the others have said neither of those carriers unlock iPhones. Therefore if you upgrade iOS or restore your iPhone, it will lock back to the original carrier and be unusuable with your current cell provider.
We cannot help you with jailbroken iPhones. You'll have to look elsewhere for further assistance.

  • HT1338 I cannot do any software update can someone explain me how to fix this ?

I have a macbook pro with Mac OS x 10.6.8 and cannot do any software update can anyone help me ?

Yes.  The description for Pages in the Mac App Store says 10.7.4 or later.  Mountain Lion is 10.8.
First, check this page (about Mountain Lion)
    http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/
where it says Supported Models, to make sure your MacBook Pro model can run Mountain Lion.  If it can, get Mountain Lion instead of Lion.  It's $20, and there is no requirement to first install Lion before installing Mountain Lion.
Before running the Mountain Lion Installer, it would be a good idea to run Disk Utility.  Select "Macintosh HD" in the sidebar and go to the First Aid tab.  Use Repair Disk Permission and then Verify Disk.  Don't be concerned about message that come up with Repair Disk Permission, but if any error is reported byVerify Disk, you need to fix that problem BEFORE installing a system upgrade.  Running these checks will help avoid problems, if there are any issues on your startup disk prior to running the upgrade.
If your Mac has been running without restarting for a while, you should restart, THEN immediately run the Mountain Lion Installer.

  • I cannot do any software updates without downloading "Mac OS X 10.5", but I cant find it anywhere!!

My computer won't find any software updates, can't even do it manually.
Every time I go to download something from apple it says I can't without "Mac OS X 10.5". but I cannot find this update anywhere!
    HELP!!

You need to understand the difference between an Update and an Upgrade.
An Update is a free change within an existing Operating System. Such as the .11 added to 10.4.
An Upgrade is a complete new Operating System that must be purchased. Such as 10.5 Leopard to 10.6 Snow Leopard.
You can upgrade from 10.4 to 10.6 with no problems. Any program that runs under 10.4 should run under10.6. See this list for compatibility with 10.6: http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/  You might have to upgrade some drivers for printers, etc.... And you will have to install Rosetta if you have any Power PC applications http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/snow_leopard_installing_rosetta/
I recently upgraded an older MacBook (model 1,1) straight from 10.4 to 10.6.
A retail 10.5 Leopard disk will run you over $200
Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard came out in July of 2009 and became obsolete in July of 2011 when 10.7 Lion was introduced. Unlike earlier Operating Systems which were removed from the Apple Store when a new OS came out Apple kept Snow Leopard around for a year until 10.8 Mountain Lion came out. When Mountain Lion came out they removed Snow Leopard and Lion from the online store.
The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard. The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion. The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1 can run 10.8 Mountain Lion.
The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

  • I can no longer find Software Update on my laptop.  Running 10.10.1.  What happened to it?  Where did it go?

I am running 10.10.1 MacBook Pro (Retina,15-inch, Late 2013) w/ 2 GHz Intel Core i7, and can no longer find Software Update on my laptop.  It is not in the menu under the Apple logo.  It canot be found in the applications list through Preferences.
Can someone please explain what happened to it?
    Where did it go?
    Why?
    Thank you!

The Software Update item in the Apple menu has been REPLACED by the App Store. It is still present in the system if you go to About This Mac, where you will see "Software Update..." as one of the buttons in the Overview section of the information window that appears. The difference here is that the App Store menu option will only launch the App Store's main landing page, whereas the Software Update button will launch the store and then check for any system and other updates available.

  • I guess the problem come from me or I really need those contacts before he calls me for it. I'll try some method that I got from some responders on your support website. Do you have or can you recommand any software that can solve this problem?

One more thing. I just update my iphone that my boss gave to me but it seems to be like it giving me some trouble. My iphone was updated not too long and was successful. I try to lock into it and it telling me emergency call. I plug it to my itune and it telling me that the sim card is not valid or supported. So I inserted my sim card that I usually use to call and it still saying the same. Please help me get into it.

And as far as paying for phone support, here are a few tips:
If you call your carrier first and then they route you to Apple, you usually don't have to pay for phone support.
If you are talking to Apple and they ask you to pay a support fee, ask if you can get an exception this time.  That usually works once, but they keep track of the times you've been granted such an exception.
If you still end up paying the support fee, that fee only applies if it's not a hardware related issue.  In other words, if it can be fixed by just talking over the phone and following Apple's instructions, then the fee applies.  But if your device is deemed to have a hardware failure that caused the issue, then the fee should not apply, and you can ask for it to be waived after the fact.
This forum is free, and almost all of the technical support articles the Apple tech advisors use are available on this website.  Literally 99% of what they can do over the phone is just walking you through the publicly available support articles.  In other words, you're paying the fee to have them do your research for you.  It's like hiring a research consultant to go look stuff up in the public library so you don't have to.  You're capable of doing it; you'd just rather pay someone to do it for you.
It's like Starbucks.  You know how to make coffee.  Everyone knows how to make coffee.  And Starbucks coffee isn't any better than what you could make at home for far less.  But you want the convenience.  So you're really paying a convenience fee.  Milk is more expensive at 7-Eleven than it is at the grocery store... because it's a convenience store.

  • Restored iPod, can't get january software update

I had to restore my ipod to make it sync with another computer and now I can't get the software update I freakin bought. I have tried everything under iPod Touch on the support pages. I have everything right and it just won't let me get it. This computer I bought the update on has had the OS reinstalled on it since then.

I've got the same problem. My touch came w/ 1.1.3. I up'd to 1.1.4, and purchased the January app update when it came out.
I wanted to wipe my iPod of personal information (going to sell it). I read on here that doing the settings:erase doesn't remove all information (wifi, iTunes purchase). Tried it, verified that post was correct (I could still attach to my encrypted wifi). So I went looking for a total reset instructions.
Found Apple's webpage on how to do it, and then how to install, verify or reinstall the January update: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1376
So I factory-reset it, then followed the instructions to reapply the update. It's not working for me. I can sync music, videos, etc to it. I see the correct software version and serial number when I click on it in iTunes. Just no new apps on it.
I've performed the reset/sync ordeal a few times now. Tried setting it to manual, just to see if that might do the trick. Or toggling to non-manual afterward.
    Still no luck

Wireless update is only possible with iOS 5 or later.
See the chart below to determine whether you can upgrade your device and what you can upgrade to. If you do not have a Software Update option present on your iDevice, then you are trying to upgrade to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to connect your device to your computer and open iTunes in order to upgrade.

Boot with the install disc that shipped with the machine, launch Disk Utility, and repair the disk. If that's successful, reinstall the OS, repair permissions, and try Software Update again.
