Can i reorganise items within Reminders by due date?

can i reorganise items within Reminders by due date? Currently it lists them in order of when I created them, but I'd rather order them by due date

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Regarding new Reminder app in Mountain Lion:  is there a way to sort reminders in due date order in the same fashion as you can in the iCloud version of Reminders?

So true! I have to agree: "It appears Reminders in 10.8 did not get a whole lot of thought put into it regarding how folks actually use reminders."
With Mountain Lion, Reminders no longer resembles a task-management (to-do) app in any way. I used to be able to limp along using it for my to-dos (although it never did accommodate this need well). This upgrade has made Reminders completely unusable for task management.
Once I got over my disappointment, I did some research and decided to try "Things." This application has all the functionality I've been wanting all along. It has a Mac version, an iPhone version, and an iPad version (among others)--and it keeps all devices synched via the Cloud (just not the iCloud ... but who needs the i ?). I wish I'd discovered it years ago. I'm glad now that Mountain Lion put Reminders over the edge; otherwise, I would not have made this discovery.
"Things" (oddly named though it is) comes close to the old Franklin planner software I used to love and haven't been able to find a substitute for. It can import items from Reminders, and it works with Siri. It's a joy to use, and it does everything I want it to do plus some things I never thought of and will use all the time. I downloaded the free trial version last night and within an hour paid for it with gratitude.

  • Inclusion of line items before previous document due date passed

    Hi All,
I am having below mentioned scenario:
    1. I am invoicing a consumer in Aug-14 with periodic billing order. Document is having due date of 10-Sep.
    2. Further I am doing interim billing and invoicing (before previous document due date expired) with posting date say 05-Sep.
The recent document of 05-Sep is not including all line items of document invoiced in Aug-14.
How do we include Aug-14 bill line items in next invoicing.
    Saurabh

    Hi,
If you are not using Integrated Account Maintenance, under "Item Selection for Bill printout (Subitems)" it should be as easy as leaving Open Items Selection restriction blank - meaning "All open items for contract acct (w. and w/o ref. to cntrct)", setting the "Interval days for the due date of items to be printed" to 999, and choosing the "Consider Items in Bill Sum Total" setting - once or always, I believe. If it doesn't work, I'd be looking at FQEVENT R410 FMs to see if the Items are passed that far.
<rant on>I can't to this day get how come so many Utilities (in my experience - all I've worked with) practice this "double" or even multiple billing of the same amounts (even if the amounts do not multiply in FI-CA postings, you have invoiced the amounts to customer multiple times). Or rather - nobody has been able to tell a valid and irrefutable reason, why things need to be done that way - it's usually "that's how we have always done it" reason. The accounting people don't even care that the previous invoice remains valid in the system (as long as their precious FI-CA postings do not multiply), because there is nothing in IS-U that automatically reverses or invalidates it... And I don't get why the regulators even permit it...<rant off>
    cheers

  • Reminders and Due Date issues

I've been using Reminders for IOS 5 and Lion, and have been having trouble changing the due dates in Lion (and in iOS, for that matter).  I open the reminders in iCal, and edit the due date, but when I close/save the reminder, the due date remains the same.  Has anyone else found this issue, and does anyone have a suggestion of how to remedy (if possible)?
    Thank you.

I am also experiencing this. In ICloud I can edit the due date of a reminder. As you say in ICal the date changes back to the original due date that was entered in IOS 5. Can't figure what the difference is or why it happens. Hoping for some help too.

  • How can I sort bookmarks within a folder by date such that this is apllied not only in the library but also on the toolbar?

    Hello,
I have several folders on my firefox toolbar which I use to sort new bookmarks by topic. If I add a new bookmark to a folder it is alwas placed at the bottom (below existing bookmarks) which is somewhat annoying with a increasing number of bookmarks. I would like to have the bookmarks recently added at the top of the folder (above existing bookmarks).
It's no problem to sort them this way within the library. But back at the toolbar everthing remains the same. The only option that seems to work here ist 'sort by name'.
Is there any way to sort the bookmarks by 'date added' such that new bookmarks are placed on top and this is applied also outside the library?
I hope you get my problem!
    Thanks!

I do not think there is a way to do that without add-ons
There are a couple of workarounds I am aware of
    * Add the bookmarks manually in the bookmarks library and choose the position. That is using Show all bookmarks -> open required folder -> select a position and right click -> add new bookmark <br />Rather a slow and clumsy process
    * Sort a folder and copy it. If you sort the folder contents then copy and paste them they remain in that order when pasted.
There are add-ons but I have not tried them. For example
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/simplesort-bookmarks/
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/auto-sort-bookmarks/
There will be others available and take note of the advice to backup bookmarks manaully.

  • How to set a due date in Reminders

Hey guys this had been bugging me for a while so I decided I'd share my findings. This is a pseudo-fix but I think it works for my purposes.
    First, the solution:
Open Automator (go into Spotlight and search "Automator")
    Create a new service
Under the "Service Receives" dropdown select "none" and make sure it's "every application"
Then in the search bar to the left find "Run AppleScript"
Drag and drop the "Run AppleScript" to the right.
Paste the following code in the "Run AppleScript":
tell application "System Events" to set FrontAppName to name of first process where frontmost is true
    if FrontAppName is "Reminders" then
              tell application "Reminders"
set newReminder to make new reminder
set name of newReminder to "new reminder"
set due date of newReminder to current date
              end tell
    else
display dialog "failed to make new reminder!"
    end if
Save the service as whatever you'd like, I named mine "new-reminder-with-due-date"
Now close Automator, go to "System Preferences" -> "Keyboard" -> "Shortcuts"
Go to the bottom where it says "Shortcuts..." Add an entry, in the  Application say "Reminders"
Then paste the name of the service name you chose earlier (again mine was "new-reminder-with-due-date")
Choose a shortcut to make a new reminder with a due date, For me I chose CMD + SHIFT + n
    Close the System Preferences
Now when you use your shortcut in the Reminders app it will create a new Reminder with the due date set as "now"
Change the due date to whatever you want and there you go
Now the explanation. I used references from:
    http://www.macstories.net/tutorials/enhancing-reminders-with-applescript-and-mac ros/
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7570855/where-to-find-what-commands-propertie s-are-available-for-applescript-in-microsof
Basically Reminders happens to have the "due date" property as a scriptable feature. So with AppleScript you can make a new reminder with a due date. I set the date to "Current Date" because I just needed the due date there. You can set the default due date to something else if you'd like but this is at least a solution you can use.
I'm now going to explore how to add a due date to an existing reminder using AppleScript. Hope this helps everyone in the future.

There's a correction to the code. For whatever reason doing it that way still sets it as a "remind me when" parameter. Use the following code instead:
tell application "System Events" to set FrontAppName to name of first process where frontmost is true
    if FrontAppName is "Reminders" then
              tell application "Reminders"
set duedate to (current date) + (2 * days)
      make new reminder with properties {name:"New Reminder", due date:duedate}
              end tell
    else
display dialog "failed to make new reminder!"
    end if

  • Due Date Indicator on vendor line item

    Hi,
We have raised a credit memo via logistics invoice verification.
The baseline date is 21/10/2008 and the payment term is 31
days from month end. That makes the credit memo due in 40 days time. However on the vendor open item list (FBL1N) the due date indicator is set to "DUE". This should be set as "NOT DUE". The payment run (F110) is picking up this line item in the payment run, when infact it should not do so.
    Please help.
    Many Thanks
    Pops Balram
    Toyota SA

The first answer is the general rule: the due date of a credit memo is the baseline date.
There are 2 exceptions: if you put the number of an invoice in the field BSEG-REBZG (Number of the Invoice the Transaction Belongs to), the due date of the credit memo is the due date of the invoice.
2nd exception: if you put the constant 'V' in this field REBZG (you can do it thru a substitution rule), the due date will be calculated the same way as for an invoice.
You can see this in the documentation of the data element REBZG:
A special rule applies to credit memos which have a "V" in this field.
The due date is determined in the same way as for an invoice. If the field is empty (containing neither a document number nor a "V") the due date is the baseline date for payment.

  • How do I view reminders in order of due date on iPad?

I need to view my Reminders in due-date order on the iPad, as they appear on my OSX laptop.  Does anyone know how to do this?  How could Apple have screwed this up?  What use is a to-do list you can't see in order of due dates?

No, 2Do is only available for iOS devices.
There is another third-party option: Todo; syncs over iCloud and has a Mac app on the Mac App Store.

  • IOS 5 reminders due date issues

    Hi
I'm having some trouble with the Reminders app in iOS 5. In iCal on my mac with OS X Lion I set some reminders with a due date. All these reminders sync well, but there are 2 issues in the app itself:
    1. I can't sort the list of reminders by due date.. is this even possible?
    2. When i add a reminder on my ipod touch, there's no option to add a due date.. what's going on here?
    thanks in advance!
    Tim

I, too, am having frustrating issues with my reminders.  It's a clumsy application.  I am a person that lives by my "to do" list.  I don't necessarily need a "reminder" but I do need a To Do list & I have to be able to repeatedly change the due date on my tasks.  For example "Take vitamins" (daily).  Or sometimes I just don't get to something that day and move it to the next day.  On my MacBook in iCal I have no trouble setting them up and moving them around.  But creating them on the iPhone is annoying - you can't get to "due date" easily & also there is something really strange where the iCal reminders doesn't require to pick a "time" it's due, just a day it's due & then the reminder . . . but on the phone it makes you pick a time.  Gargh!  I had a To Do list task that I was pretty happy with.  But I switched over to this so that I could integrate with Siri.  I hope they fix this soon so that it is more user friendly.

  • E61 - ToDo item due date

    Nokia E61 > 1.6610.04.04 19-04-06 RM-89
Bought SIM Free but using on UK Orange Network
Is it possible to set a ToDo item without a specific due date ?
I must be really busy or somthing as I have a lot of items on my ToDo list which makes my daily view on the Calendar hard work scrolling down through all the ToDo items just to get to the first thing I have booked in the day.
I've started to pick random dates in the future for ToDo items just to keep the Calendar clear... which is a work around but not a fix
I'd be happy for the ToDo items without a date to dissapear from the Calendar view and only appear in the ToDo view.
    Any help and advice appreciated

I have the same problem, viz, how to limit the ToDo items sent from the PC to the Daily View. Have you found any solution other than that very inadequate (though helpful!) workaround of putting a random future due date on the ToDo item?

  • AR - New estimated payment date after due date

    Dear friends,
In the event the Client is not paying within the expected due date that was calculated as "Net Due Date", we normally give the Client a grace period, and the need is to record this new estimated payment date in a date field, that the SAP user will manually introduce. The Net Due Date must not be affected as in case of having debt interests, they will be calculated on that basis. But I can not find a suitable way to implement it.
    Regards,
    Érika Iranzo
(PS: Extra information: We calculate the "Net Due Date" (FAEDT) of the our clients and vendor's invoices from the "Baseline Date for payment" (ZFBDT) plus the highest number of days within the terms of payment "Cash discount days 1" (ZBD1T). So that the due date is calculated as FAEDT = ZFBDT + ZBD1T. Additionally we also consider a region-specific calendar)

I found the field Grace Days RFOPS-TOLER that seems to be useful for my purpose, does any one know how can I make it visible when editing a document?
    Thanks,

  • Due date is not showing up in UWL

    Hi ,
Due date is not showing up in UWL. Back end is ECC not GP Just regular work flow.
I can see in workflow object end date kind. But the field is blank. For due date any additional configuration needed.
    I really appreciate your help.
    Regards
    Mark

    Hi,
As far as I remember correctly, the Due Date in UWL is the Requested End date in the workflow. So basically you need to open the workflow in backend in WF builder and look at the step. There is a tab for setting different deadlines and stuff. If you do the settings there (for example set the requested end in 3 days), I think that work item will display the due date based on that data.

  • Report that lists Customer balance, Due date, & Invoice date.

    Hello Gurus,
I would appreciate your help on the following question. Points available.
Is there a report I can run in SAP that can show me the <b>Customer Balance, due date, and Invoice date</b>?
    Is there anything besides FBL5N?
    Thanks in advance!

Please note a customer balance is the total outstanding against a customer, normally totalled at a Company Code level.
Due dates and invoice dates are at line item level, where as Balance is the total of the line items.
If you run a balance report you wont get line item data and if you have a line item report it wont give you balance details.
