Can i replace cost center by funds center in new G/L FIGL_C10 cube?

Hello,
I want to replace the cost center infoobject by Funds center. From business perspective I think so they both are same. I checked the master data for both the objects and it is the same. We have created a lot of nav attr on funds center and the users want to report on that so getting funds center is very imp.
I tried mapping the cost center field RCNTR to the funds cneter but funds center is CHAR 16 where as cost center is CHAR 10, so how do we take care of this ?

hmm....
if you use TRUN a cost centre 0000012345 will be converted into 12345. Without the alpha, it will be posted as 12345. I another value like 012345 is to be posted and has the same meaning than 12345 that would make two different entries.
Assess this fact with the R/3 guys in terms of naming...
Note as well that the COMPUTE TRUN won't work (DUMP) with a costcentre with letters in its ID...
I would turn the ALPHA conversion for the fund centre (only if 12345 is the same than 012345); it will then be stored as 0000000000012345.

i post a GR (Return item) and i have a difference of price, i want to assign this difference (assined to a Gl Account) to a Cost center please how to do that ? i have a Funds Center entered in this GR, can i derive the cost center from this Funds Center ?

Hi,
There is no 'derivation' funcitionality as such available. Thoough, you can build a CO substitution via OKC9 and, based on your fund centre, set the cost centre value.

FM Derivation form cost center to fund center

I have defined in FM DERIVE cost center = fund center. In pm order cost center is derived from the work center. But the fund center is not coming there, which is defined in FMDERIVE for this cost center .
Please help to resolve the issue.

Profit Center as fund center

I have created Cost Centers as Fund Centers for Expenses and Profit Centers as Fund Centers for Revenues. Now I have posted one vendor invoice vide transaction code FB60. The fund center derived by sytsm is a profit center which is attached to the cost center. Is this the stadard behviour? Becuase I have budgeted the items against the fund center which is created against the cost center. I want system to derive the fund center which is based on the cost center and not the one which is based on profit center.
How do I resolve this? Please advise

Source Field: Proft Center
Target Field: Cost Center
Condition: for Commitmnet Item < 4XXXXX (as we have expenses starting with 4 & revenues starting with 3).
Is anyting I need to modify? Pls advise..

Authorization object for FM e.g fund center group/fund center auth group

Hi,
I have a requirement to control the number of fund centers which can be viewed from PSM-FM Budget reports.
Currently, I have included authorization groups into the FM Master data.
However, I am looking to control it at org level instead of at the object level.
Is it possible to control fund center grouping at org level?

Hi Damon,
I am not sure if I understood you correctly but your authorization group field (from the master data transaction) should reflect exactly what you want, therefore you should build it according the organization level that you requires.
The field 'Authorization Group', is the same used in the authorization rules. It is not the 'fund center' field itself, is the group that you are grouping the fund centers only for authorization purpose.
If in the table FMFCTR for your FM Area you have the same content for all records to this field, this means that all your funds center will be part of the SAME authorization group.
So, you should consider within your company to divide the authorization groups according your needs and adjust your roles in transaction PFCG accordingly.

I just got my iPhone 5s two days ago, but it already has problems when I was trying to text with it while charging. The phone was doing all these random things like mis-sensed my typing really badly, jumping out to the main screen and even called the person I was texting. I even tried typing messages in Whatsapp, it constantly hides the keyboard from time to time and that's really irritating. While it's on lock screen, I could not slide to unlock it, I had to use my finger scan to access my phone in the end. The phone went normal again once I got the charge unplugged, but it went crazy again once I got it plugged in. I truely believe it's something wrong with the phone rather than the charger. Can I replace my current phone with a new one in this case?

Can I replace an older Airport Extreme with a newer one by importing configuration file

Can I import the configuration file from an older Airport base station into a newer replacement Airport base station? It would seem this would save me a lot of extra work. First, it would hopefully save time by automatically configuring the new base station without me having to fiddle with the settings. Second, it might hopefully save some more time if I would not have to re-enter the network parameters for all the devices currrently connected to my Airport (wi-fi) network.

My old Apple Airport Extreme Base Station (AEBS) is not a gigabit one. Moreover, it's been experiencing some hardware failures recently. So, I recently purchased a new Apple Airport Extreme (base station) that is a gigabit one (Model# ME918LL/A with 802.11ac Wi-FI). I relaced an older AEBS with the new one, recently, and did not need to import anything, but if you can save the configuration file from your old one, then you can import it to the new one. I've never tried that when I switched, and it didn't seem to matter which suggests the configuration file may be on disk somewhere.

I tried replacing the existing OC4J by the new version i.e. 9.0.3 as this fully supports JMS. In place of orion.jar we have oc4j.jar in j2ee/home. After installing and starting OC4J (using java -jar oc4j.jar I get the appropriate message that Oracle9iAS <9.0.3.0.0> Containers for J2EE initialized), but my emwebsite is down since then and I cant access the portal. Infra also went down but after restarting the services it is now up. How can I restart portal services and its EMwebsite?

This cannot be done with a portal/wireless or BI install type. There are a few TARs on this.

So.. we are using Lookout 5.0 to operate a plant, and we have a PCI SERIAL RS 232/485 ISOLATED 2 PORTS board, with the code 185726C-02 printed on that board, which is used to comunicate with some solenoids modules. I search your site for a replacement for that board, and I found the PCI-8433/2 board which seems to be compatible. Question: is it ok to use this board instead the old one with Lookout 5 if we update the NI SERIAL drivers from your site?

For years, my Apple ID has been associated with an external email address. Now that iCould users are given an "@me.com" email address for free, I would like to use that as my new Apple ID.
When I try to edit my primary email address using these instructions, this is the message I get:
You cannot create an Apple ID using a MobileMe account. If this is your email address, it is also your Apple ID.
I can't really figure out what this means. Is my Apple ID is permanently bound to the external email address? Seems pretty silly that I wouldn't be able to associate my Apple ID with my iCloud email...

Think of your Apple ID that is bound to an external email address as an Anonymous Apple ID account. The email address can be changed to any other email address that is not an Apple ID, iCloud, MobileMe, Mac, etc. account. iCloud, MobileMe, Mac, etc. accounts are just Apple ID accounts in disguise. So the bottom line is no, but you can use both independantly.

well it has many factors including wether the new and improved motherboard will your be fit into your current laptop , ,i think there is possibility ,but remember replacing your motherboard means replacing your gpu as well .....including ram if the new motherboards supports
