Can I replace my LCD with a NON-LED LCD??

I have a late 2007 Macbook Pro with the 15in LED LCD. A few months after warranty goes, my screen starts dying on me. It's not the graphics card problem, just a screen problem. Genius bar says it will be about $800 to repair. So I go on ebay and look up screens. My question is, does it HAVE to be an LED screen or can it be a regular LCD? This listing* claims this screen is for the A1226 MBP which is what my MBP is, but the listing says its a "ccfl bulb" LCD and doesn't mention anything about LED. Would this work or not? Typically not because the power input to the LED (usually 5 volt) is different than that for a florescent lamp which requires a ballast circuit to work. Also the cable connection design will usually get redesigned between the 2 types and the lighting is part of the LCD screen.

I have a translator who sends me InDesign files using the Sultan font, but when I open it, a lot of the font shows up as math symbols. I have the correct font installed, but I'm wondering if I need the additional features of the ME version of InDesign to make the type correct on my end.

I don't believe my CS6 is from a Creative Cloud subscription. It was installed by my IT department, so I will ask them.
When I receive the files from the translator, they send both an InDesign file and a PDF, so I can see it as they see it. However, the InDesign file looks like this:

They sent me the font file, so I'm assuming I have the right font and the issue is on my end. Or perhaps not?

Hi Ravi,
it is possible to replace an OTR Text with an image.
You first have to define the Link in the OTR Text where your image is located. This can be everywhere in the Internet or better on a secured intranet server which everyone can reach easily without permission problems. Maybe in the DMZ.
You can even link it into the MIME Repository of your SAP System as well.
Then you have to put that OTR Text into a
<htmlb:textview> Tag and ensure that the switch
" encode = "TRUE" is enabled.
Well thats all.
Keep in mind that the a different language, set in the Internet Explorer or other viewing instances, disables the link if it not "translated" into that language.
This can also be an advantage if you got multilingual fixed pictures with drawn text in it.
I suggest you put all your links ( with a Value Field and at least a name field) into a seperate table into the repository for easy maintaining.

hi, can I replace a DOMParser with a SAX parser? In the class "org.apache.xerces.parsers.DOMParser", there is a method called "getDocument()", it returns the document as a DOM object, but I don't see any equivalent methods in the SAX parser.

I would avoid using SAXParser. It has been superceded by the org.xml.sax.XMLReader class.
the XMLReader class has a method called parse() that accepts an InputSource.
Look at the org.w3c.transform (I think that's it) package and it gives you the ability to create a stream from a DOM Document.
Also avoid using classes that are specific to an implementation of an XML parser. I know from experience that this can really jam things up in the long run.

If you have a look at some of the code examples which do the equivalent of site maps, you could in theory replace the whole portal desktop with some sort of Flash framework which reads the user's role structure at run time.
I think it is useful to remember that the SAP portal is primarily a business application launchpad. It does that very well. Trying to make it into a Flash launchpad will be challenging.

You can execute a fixed number of iterations using a while loop by comparing the iteration count to the number of iterations you want and wiring the output of that comparison (e.g. Less Than or Equal To) to the continue (or stop) terminal of your while loop. Which comparison you use depends on personal preference, where you wire the desired count and the interation count, and whether you're using the while loop as Continue if True or Stop if True.

I have an old 2009 (okay, so not that old) iMac and the LCD has some serious burn-in and it's to the point where I can't use the computer without it hurting my eyes. I'm looking to replace the screen, but the computer still works great and I don't want to have to do this again in four to five years. Any chance I can take an LED display from a 24" Cinema Display and put it in the iMac, or are the connections different?

Personally I would use a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter, DVI cable and a $130 DVI monitor, before shelling out for a $500 to $600 for a replacement panel. Or at least until your 100% sure, that there is nothing wrong with the logicboard or graphic's chip.
Optionally a Belkin Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Cable would be an even cheaper setup, if you already have an HDMI TV.
Addtitionally I would probably just replace the iMac with another iMac or Mac Mini, because it is real hard to justify spending anything at all on a 5 year old system.

Hope to hear you opinions as i`m not very skilful in these type of things and i wouldn`t risk my money and my laptop health if i`m not sure that is truly possible and risk free.

that's impossible to replace x230t screen with ones you've mentioned w/o hard work. The trouble isn't the connector type. x230s uses LVDS signaling for the internal screen, TPY or, for example, x240 (nice screen too) - eDP.
To be clear, x230 has eDP port too, but it's routed to the docking station connector.
In theory, it's possible to connect eDP matrice. For example, via signal converter. But where will you place that unit (pcb with chips) inside of the laptop?

Can I replace safari 8 with safari 7?

After updating from Mavericks to Yosemite my enhanced experience of the new OS has been marred by the terrible performance of Safari 8. So many web sites that previously loaded fine now have flickering areas, buttons missing and some don't even load at all but get a blank window and the progress bar stuck half way. It's worth noting that I have none of these issues with Chrome or Firefox. All these sites worked fine with Safari 7, it's only since I updated.
After going through many discussions on here I have found other users have the same issues. I've reset Safari, I've disabled extensions, I've unticked the save power box in preferences and I've allowed pop ups etc all in an attempt to solve the problem but it still keeps happening. In my opinion Safari 8 is buggy and a step backwards.
Therefore, Can I replace it with a legacy version? Ideally Safari 7?

No. Safari is a part of OS X.
You would have to remove Yosemite and replace it with Mavericks.

Can't replace old text with new text in a text box

Hello everyone. This is my first time posting in the forum, so I'm hoping this works out well. We recently purchased a few copies of Adobe Acrobt X for the office, and one of the users is having an issue with editing text in a field. She can type new text into a box, but when she goes back to replace that text with something else, the old text stays. New text appears on top of the old text, and you can see both. Is there a way to simply highlight the old text, delete it, and then replace it with new text? Thanks in advanace for your assistance. I understand this might be confusing, so let me know if you have questions.

You have to use the text touchup tool (there is a new name like text edit tool in AA X) to edit such text. It sounds like you are using the typewriter tool or something like it. Text editing in Acrobat is not for the weak at heart. It can be very frustrating and is not recommended except for very minor changes. If at all possible, you should edit the original and just recreate the PDF.

I've created quite a detailed design that works with 4 pixels per cm and 16 colors, canvas size 120x170cm. I'm wanting to replace all of a single color with a pattern, is there a way to do this?
I can replace a color with another flat color by using adjustments etc... but I want to fill the entire of one color area with a pattern instead. The only way I can think to do this would be to use the magic wand tool to select every pixel of the same color, then create a new layer and overlay with a fill of the desired pattern, however as the design is so detailed it would take me an awful long time to select each color!
Can anyone suggest a quicker more efficiant way to do this?

I want to replace the value in the column state as follows

I want "1" to be reppaced by "Completed" and "3" to be replaced by "Faulted"
Is is possible with SQL or PL/SQL , if it is then how can I achieve this required result. Please help!!
