Can I reset the Machine to Factory, but keep software updates and installs?

I have a Loan Mac Mini for Tech Support and Macintosh Evangelism. I loan it out to customers when I'm fixing their Windows Boxes, so they have something to use in the Interim, and to encourage them to Get A Mac.
Is there a way of installing all relevant Software Updates and installing 3rd party Drivers and software, but still allowing my Customers to have the full 'Macintosh Experience' with the Welcome screen, migration tool, et al.
Two ways I can think of doing this is Restoring MacOSX on it, installing the Software Updates and 3rd Party software from a Different Machine, but not all packages allow installation to a Non-Boot Drive.
The other way is to Create an Admin Account, Install all the Software Updates and 3rd Party software, and then remove the Admin Account.
Anyone have any Ideas?
