Can i restore songs that i've deleted from the cloud / match?

Hi Guys
I've stupidly managed to delete everything in the cloud from my itunes and i don't have them saved locally. I've managed to restore my purchases but is there anyway to restore my itunes match back to a previous point?
Please help!
Benj

I Am afraid that if they were not on your computer and you don't have a back up, you will have lost everything except for past purchases. Did you clear your trash?

    Can I restore to my iPad Air calendar that I accidentally deleted

    Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup
    Once you tap that it will tell you when the last backup was made.
    That said, to restore from a backup, would require you delete everything on your iPad, then restore from the backup.  For a few calendar entries, it might just be easier to try to reenter the calendar entries.

  • Is it possible to restore backup that has been deleted from the repository?

    Hi,
    with Rman 9i I do a full database backup including the current controlfile each night (with the catalog option). If the backup has been successful all backups older than 3 days are deleted (because of a lack of disk space).
    Now I have to restore a backup older than 3 days which can be written back to disk from tape.
    On disk there is a backup still available which is 2 days younger than the one I have to restore. That means in its controlfile the backup to be restored doesn't have the status DELETED yet.
    Can I restore this controlfile first, then resync my catalog and restore the old backup after the entry is back to the catalog ?
    How do I specify which controlfile and which backupset should be restored ?

    Hi ebrian,
    thank you for your quick answer.
    Just to be sure that I understand you right:
    I startup the database in nomount mode.
    Then I restore the controlfile from the backup which is 2 days younger than the one I have to restore because this controlfile contains the desired backup record with status "not deleted". Is that right ?
    Each of my backup consists of 3 backup pieces. How can I find out which of the pieces contains the controlfile ? Or can I try one after the other until it works ?
    After the controlfile is restored successfully I use the following commands to restore and recover the database:
    rman target=sys/<syspw>@target_db
    run {
    alter database mount;
    allocate channel c1 type disk;
    set until time '<point of time a little bit prior to the point of time of the backup to be restored>';
    restore database;
    recover database;
    release channel c1;
    open database resetlogs;
    exit;
    Because of the "resetlogs" I take a full backup of the database afterwards.
    For the future I intend to change the process of deleting backups as described below:
    * delete them from disk with operating system command not with the rman delete command
    * configure retention policy to recovery window of n days (n = number of days backups are preserved on tape)
    * start rman script each night: \\     allocate channel for maintenance device type disk; \\     delete obsolete; \\     release channel;
    Is it possible to restore each backup from tape if required with the procedure described ?
    One last question concerning the recovery:
    instead of the "set until time " before using the "restore database" command is it possible to specify a concrete backup to be restored (e.g. specifying the exact time it is taken or the backup piece numbers) ?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Any way to create a smart playlist on iOS of songs that have been downloaded from the cloud?

    Of my 72gb library it's hard to remember what has been downloaded from the cloud to my iPhone.  It would be great if there was a way to have my tracks be dumped into some sort of playlist to easily access what has been downloaded.  Anyone know of way to do this?  Or recommendations on an easier way to keep track of downloaded tracks?

    These all work fine on my mac but again, I was wanting the smart playlist on my iphone.  I could download songs from the cloud on my mac (which wouldnt make sense anyways since it's where my entire library is) but this defeats the whole purpose of accessing my music through my phone and icloud and not having to sync or make playlists on my mac.
    Let me ask you guys this, every time you want to listen to something on your iOS device, do you wait for it download?  Do you remember everyhting you've downloaded and only listen to those tracks?  What's your method for listening to music on your device?
    Really dissapointed in Match....it's basically a back up service.

  • Is there any way to restore contacts that have been deleted from the icloud website?

    All my contacts were deleted from icloud - no intervention on my end -(I spent hours updating and eliminating duplicates after syncing from MS Outlook and don't look forward to that exercise again) thanks

    Thank you CS, I am using a MBP.
    What I am trying to say is that I still have my contacts in MS Outlook, but are outdated- many duplicates - wrong/incomplete addresses that took quite a while to get in shape and then put in the cloud.
    I still dont know how it was erased (sitting at work one minute no issue then at noon all was gone).
    I am trying to evade the hours needed to clean up my address book again. ( and I have definitely learned my lesson - alwasy keep a backup).

    Help

    Here's how iTunes works.  You add a file to iTunes. iTunes makes a note of where that file is located, gets information from it about artist, etc, and writes the information to its library file.  iTunes doesn't look at that file again until you play it.  It knows where to find it when it needs it.  However, sometimes things happen so the file is no longer where iTunes expects it to be.  In many cases this is because the user has renamed  a file or folder in the file's pathway, or moved the file.  In extreme cases it can happen because a hard drive is dying.
    When iTunes invites you to find the file, it is asking you to do exactly that.  If you renamed the file you need to remember what you called it and where you put it and point to it to rebuild the link.  Sometimes if people move all their files to  different drive you need to point to one and iTunes may be able to find others given that information and assumptions as to where the others should be located relative to that.
    It is also possible files have gone missing.  In that case you need to restore them from their original source  or a backup you make regularly of your computer knowing that some day it is 100% guaranteed your drive will fail and you will be very happy you have a copy of everything on another drive.

  • How can I restore files that were accidentally deleted from iCloud drive?

    I was making space to upgrade my iPad to the latest iOS 8 update, and while in settings>storage I mistakenly deleted Keynote presentations from iCloud rather than deleting Keynote and presentations temporarily from just the iPad itself. I'm desperate to get these back, but Time Machine is of no use when searching iCloud drive for previous files. Can anyone help??

    What did you do exactly? How did you delete the calendar?

  • Does deleting songs from my library mean that they are deleted from the cloud?

    If I have 500 songs in my library and I delete 25 of them, will they stay in my itunes match? will I be able to listen to them anytime? or do I have to keep a huge library with all my songs in one computer?
    Thanks

    YUP!
    i guess i just had the fear of clicking delete. i started by deleting a track i dont like.. the download cloud link appeared.. and I am IN BUSINESS.
    I am a very relieved man. I lost my entire library on a 64gb SD card that got damaged sticking out of my macbook air (PS - Bad design apple - the card shouldnt stick out so much).
    BUT - Kudos apple and iTunes Match for saving 90% of my library.

    Not unless the developer/Apple offer it again in the App store.  You can only get apps from the App store.

    Hi,
    If you use the iCloud.com login or the Mail App and "fetched" the Mail and deleted that way there is not way to get it back.
    You could have archived it or placed it in Folders (created in Mail or on the web Login) and that will have stored them on the IMAP server and they would have been retrievable.

    Your Creative Cloud account allows you to install software on two computers, regardless of operating system. Just log in to Creative Cloud from your second computer and install the app. See http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html.
    If you opt to do so, your files will be synched between the machines and Creative Cloud itself.
