Can I restore to a new computer?

This may be an obvious question, but I wanted to clarify it. I have used time machine once to restore my macbook when I bought a bigger hard drive - it was a relatively quick and painless process
I use time machine to back up my macbook to a time capsule. However, I would like to sell my macbook and buy a macbook pro. When I get the new computer, can I just transfer everything on my time capsule backup into it? I'm thinking of buying some new software, so if I install this software on my current macbook, will I be able to simply have it on the macbook pro by doing a restore from time machine?

You should be able to use Setup Assistant on your new Mac to transfer files from your Time Capsule. However, if your MacBook has a FireWire port, it might be faster to put it into "target disk mode" (by holding down the "T" key while it's booting), connect the two computers with a FireWire cable, then let Setup Assistant copy the data from your MacBook over FireWire.

I just got a new Imac. After I charged my Ipod for the first time on the new computer, It was full of gibberish when I turned it on. I tried to restore it, but I got an error message and it wouldn't continue. Tried that twice and came up with the same message. I took it into my local Apple store, and they restored it no problem. Then I plugged into my computer to sync and put the music back on, and it froze as it was loading music. Then it wouldn't recognize the Ipod, and again I couldn't restore. Plugged the ipod into my old mac, and it restored just fine. Then again plugged into my new mac and tried to put the music on, and same old story. Plugged it into my old mac and it is loading the music just fine. The problem has to be the new computer and/or itunes installed on it. What am I needing to do here??

I can't restore it because the computer it was originally synced to was stolen... I've tried to resore it but my new MacBook keep saying it "can't connect to the iPad because it is locked w/a passcode.

You cannot merge Apple ID accounts, that has never been supported.
You can contact the Apple ID Security folks per the listing in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 and they can help reset security questions and get the account working.

You need to go under the help menu option and sign out from Muse and then install it on the other computer that you want using the creative cloud desktop app.

You need the Domain.sites2 file that's located in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder in order to be able to manage and publish the site from another computer?
Do you have that file? If you do copy it to the same folder on the other computer and you're ready to go.
If not then you'll have to recreate the site from scratch. Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site. 1

Thanks so much for your quick response. I may not have stated my problem quite clearly enough. I am not getting more than one album cover image per song or album. Instead, each song is separated out in my iTunes as a separate album.
This only happens when there is more than one artist on the album, or on the "duets" albums. See screen capture of my iTunes attached. I am hopeful that there is a way to get these separate song images all back under one album.

To transfer the license from one pc to another the step you have to follow is to 'Deactivate' the license first from the older machine.
To accomplish this you need to Launch Acrobat, go to the 'Help' menu and select 'Deactivate'
On the new machine you can install Acrobat and then use the serial number to 'Activate' the software and this will complete the license transfer.

I don't know what version you have, but you cannot install a Windows edition on a Mac, you need the Mac edition.
If you have Photoshop CS6, you can swap it for a Mac version, otherwise you would have to purchase a full Mac version ($700) or enroll in the $10 per month Photography program from Adobe to use Photoshop CC.

It may not be necessary as you are permitted two activations.
Deactivate is only available under the Help menu in Full Edit, not from the Organizer menu.

You do not have to move it as such. Here are the steps to setup HomeSharing
1) Ctrl B to turn on the top menu
2) File > Home Sharing > Create Home Share enter your apple id and password, click create
3) repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other computer and create home share using the same apple id and password
On your new machine if you have turned on the left hand sidebar the Shared Library should be about halfway down like this.
Select the songs you want and click import at the bottom right. If you want all songs then I would select one song nad Ctrl A to select all
Finally if you have a lot of songs to transfer Switch off the wifi on the old computer. Leave the wifi on the new one. Connect with an ehternet network cable. The copying speed is way faster.
