Can i restrict a movement type with respect to storage location

Hi
Is there any way to restrict the movement type for a particular storage locations.
For eg.
If am using a Mvt 311 tP btwn storagelocations.
If there are 10 Stlocs in my plant i want to restrict 311 only for 7Slocs.
Is it possible

can we make the movement type restricted to any storage location
Ex: i have 2 storage locations 1110 and 1114 in plant 1100
and i have two end user mst1 mst2
if so i want to make sure that mst1 is responsible only for issue goods from 111o
and he should not able to issue goods from 1114 vice versa to mst2

u can achive this through authorization
First
You need to activate the storage location authorization check for goods movements in config
SPRO->Materials Management->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Authorization Management->Authoization check for storage locations.
Then required control is achieved via authorization object M_MSEG_LGO.
Get in touch with Basis and ask him to remove required storage location from user ID so that that user will not able to pass any movement to that storage location

Restriction on movement type,storage location on USER ID

Dear Guru's,
I have to restrict movement type 311 on some storage location for some user ID.Following is already done but not able to restrict the movement of material on other storage location rather than defined:
1) Maintained authorization objet M_MSEG_LGO with two storage location ST01,ST02 and movement type 311.
2) Using BADI MB_MIGO_BADI and maintained Z table with USERID,Mvt type 311,storage location ST01,ST02.
Still we are able to do Mvt 311 on other that defined locations in authorization objet M_MSEG_LGO and Z table....
Kindly give ur valuable suggestion to resolve the issue......

For your requirement only I have suggested to create multiple role. In one Role you specify SLOC & MOvt type(only 311) in auth object M_MSEG_LGO & M_MSEG_BWE for slocs where you want 311 movt. In other Roles of goods movt you also specify other SLOCs & all other movt except 311. I mean in the other Role you cant keep the movt type as * in auth object M_MSEG_BWE.
So its a combination of SLOC & MVT tye. Try & give feedback

You can define WM movement type in V_T333:
SPRO > LE > WM > Activities > Transfers > Define Movement Types - here you have to define WM mvt 101 for your WH ("ABC").
LE-WM Interface
SPRO > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > Define Movement Types - here you can connect WM reference movement type to IM mvt and then WM mvt to WM reference mvt.

Restriction for Movement type 202

I want to make the restriction for Movement type 202 by material document.
The user should only be able to do the 202 Movement type in MB1B with reference of 201 Movement only .

HI,
202 movement type is the reversal movement type of 201 (goods issue to cost center)
when we cancel material document with 201 system create reversal posting with 202
And you can manually enter 202 movement type also in MB1A and MIGO
Now if you want to restrict user to use 202 directly
GO to OMJJ -> select movement type 202 ->allowed transaction ->Remove MB1A and MIGO and save
So you can only cancel a material document of 201 to create 202 not possible to create manually (without reference)
{IF in future needed you can always add those in OMJJ again}
You can cancel material document is through T. Code MBST
This will fully serve your purpose

the values exist are all the values implemented across the OU not the values entered at this OU

Hello
When you set up a project there is an option called Transaction Control.
This option allow you to list the allowed or restricted elements of costs for the project.
You may enter the transaction control on a project template and that will be copied to any new project.
The cost elements may be expenditure types, expenditures categories, suppliers, employees, etc.
In your case, I suggest to set up specific project templates for each operating units. On each template enter the list of allowed expenditures types for that OU.
Doing so, the system restricts users from entering any expenditure item, supplier invoice, purchase cost etc, against an expenditure type, which is not allowed.

Restrictions of movement types in MIGO

Hello,
When I select goods receipt in MIGO, I would like the system to avoid using 201 movement type. I mean, if I select goods receipt, it should only work for goods receipt
Is there a way that I can block other movement types like this?
I tried to do it from
SPRO->MATERIALS MANAGEMENT -> INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND PHYSICAL INVENTORY ->SETTINGS FROM ENJOY TRANSACTIONS -> SETTINGS FOR TRANSACTIONS AND REFERENCE DOCUMENTS
and tried to put some restrictions, but it did not work.

Hi
Access to mvt types can be restricted through authorizations. Check with your basis person (auth object is M_MSEG_BWA).
If you want to skip a particular transaction in MIGO then deactivate it in IMG - MM - Inventory management & phy inventory - Settings for Enjoy Transactions - Settings for Goods Movements (MIGO) - Settings for Transactions and Reference Documents. Select the transaction MIGO - click transaction/event (you can deactivate goods issue here or) - Click goods issue - deactivate which ever are not required. You cannot see deactivated options here in MIGO.

i need a solution...is there a way to restrict a material for a movement type...here is the scenario..i want to restrict a material for 261 movement type.Is there a way to restrict a material for that movement type..

Hi Srisha,
   You can goto transaction "OMJJ".Here you need to put the no. of movement type.
   On the same screen under dialog structure,there is a tab for allowed transaction.You can remove those combinations and you won't be able to use those movement types for any transaction.
But this is not advisable
   But still if you go ahead with the changes then keep a note of all the transaction so that in future you can revert them back whenever required.
Basis authorization is another alternative
   Reward points if it works.

Delivery creation with respect to Storage Type

Hi Gurus,
Can we have a control on the deliveries creation with respect to the storage Types.
The situation is to have the outbound deliveries created only from a perticular storage type neglecting other storage types. Is there any customization?

For this you have to define storage type serch strategy,
Path,
LE> WM>Master data >Material>storage type indicator \
LE> WM>Master data >Material>storage section indicator
Then,
LE> WM>Strategires>activate storage type serch (whmaintion indicator -- st type)
LE> WM>Strategires-->activate storage section serch (wh -- maintion indicator -- st section)
Maintain the material master with warehouse number & storage type.
( In the case of fixed bin maintain the storage bin in wm-2 view)
Maintain the storage type indicator & storage section indicator.
If you have allready maintained the storage type search strategy then remove the symbol *** from yor storage type search.

Freight condition type-With respect to kilometer

Hi,
I am working on freight related condition type,my requirement is we have to calculate freight cost based on kilometer or miles.But for us the standard condition type is KF00 which is with respect to Gross Weight.
Is there any condition type which calculates Freight based on miles/kilometer covered.If so kindly throw some ideas on it.
My doubt is do we require transportation management.

without transport management, maybe you need a different approach of calculating freight.
instead of calculating price per Km/Mile by distance, apply cost based on origin - destination of you sold-to and ship-to.
You know Price per km/Mile. You can ask distance between origin and destination points and calculate freight cost then.
The important point here is to determine the different origins and destinations, refine, group, regroup to end in something that may look like:
Origin: country-state-region-city-zip code... (and even sold-to)
Destination: country-state-region-city-zip code ... (and even ship-to)
Freigth cost: (unit cost x distance)
Once you´ve mapped this in an Excel file, you can think of creating a price condition for your freight costs in SAP based on your mapping.

Actully 'm, a basis consultant , i have problem with mb1b Transaction code..
Myproblem is
i have 4 plants 1,2,3,4 now i want to restrict the goods transfer between these plants like
01---02 -
accepted
0201--
accepted
0103--
not accepted
0104--
not accepted
0203--
not accepted
0204--
not accepted
And 1,2,3,4 plants must transfer goods to vendor
i'm trying by using movement types 301 for plant to plant transfer and 541 for plant to vendor
i have created two roles in one i was restricted company code 1 and 2 with movement types 301 and 541
and in another role i was resricted comany code 3 and 4 with movement type 541 only..
If i give thes two roles to diffrent users it is working fine, but if i give to same user but it is not working..
I don't have functional kw......This is an urgent issue.......please suggest how to restrict..

Overwrite Standard Movement types with Z movement types in MI10

Dear All,
We have a requirement where we need to replace standard movement types 701 and 702 with Z movement types in transaction MI10. Would there be any exit or BADI in MI10 which would serve this purpose?
We also tried cloning the transaction MI10 but some checks on the TCODE is giving an issue.
Any one come across a similiar requirement, kindly help.
