Can i retrieve contact?

After i upgrate my 2008 I-mac to Mavericks, the screen started to freeze. First i started to see colored line on the screen , the point on the mouse muved to the screen but left or right click and the keybord not work, turned off with the power button, restarted and everithing worked ok.
Aftr 3 or 4 times also the power button did not work, and the screen was more gray, the only way to do something was to pull the power cord, restarted and worked ok for a week or two, then did not restart any more.
I bought a new I-Mac, at the apple store they thing is a possible HD failure, but they need to do the diagnostic, they can not check before a week or more.
They give me a cable to connect the two computer, starting the old mac pressing the letter "T" will be see by new Mac as an exsternal drive, i was able to recover all my important document, but i can not retrive the contact information (When i tried to use the external dive with the time machine i messed up, the new mac reformatted the drive and i lost the information)
How do i retrive the contact information?

Crystal, Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
Yes, google search for ABC Amber IPD Converter, and use that. It's not free, but the the trial software will handle limited number of records.
If you end up getting a new BlackBerry, you can restore that backup IPD file to your new device.

Can I retrieve contacts that have been deleted?

You posted this in the BlackBerry space, so I am assuming you have a BlackBerry of some sort... if you've used desktop manager or BB Protect or another backup application, then you can retrieve contacts from the most recent backup.
Otherwise, you may be out of luck, unless their information is in your recent call list, or recent texts.
I use BB Protect to make automatic backups of my data each week, (with no interaction needed by me, it just happens) so if something goes crazy, I have, at most, a week's worth of new stuff to enter.  BB Desktop manager also makes backups, manually - you need to connect the phone to your computer via USB and make a backup, or restore from a backup.

  • Can I retrieve contacts that I deleted from an email account on my IPhone that I no longer have access to? I have synced the contacts with my computer and have not synced since I deleted the mail account on my Iphone. Can I still retrieve the contacts?

can I retrieve contacts that I deleted from an email account on my IPhone that I no longer have access to? I have synced the contacts with my computer and have not synced since I deleted the mail account on my Iphone. Can I still retrieve the contacts on my home computer?

This might be a problem as it is a company mail account that I no longer work for.
    Could I...
Plug iphone into pc and click Restore in iTunes?
Then using ICloud, retrieve all the data lost in the restore?

My iPhone 5S drowned in a rainstorm. How can I retrieve contacts and text messages from iCloud backup onto my iPad mini? There are some contacts on the iPad already but nowhere near all of them. I need to re-enter the contacts manually into an iPhone 4 as it does not support iOS 8.

Let me get this straight.....You lost your phone.  You never backed it up, either to your computer or to a cloud service.
How in the world would you expect to get data back?

  • How can I retrieve contacts deleted on my Mac?

I was making a group for my contacts and I accidently added some people I didn't want in the gropu so I deleted them thinking it deletes them from the group not my entire contact list how can I retrieve them?

If you JUST did it, in Contacts, go to the Edit menu and click Undo.
However, you should have seen a warning like this:
which gives you the option of deleting the card entirely or removing it from that group.
If it's too late to undo, your Time Machine backup should have your Contacts saved. With Contacts open, click on the Time Machine menu icon, click Enter Time Machine, and go back to a previous time/date and click Restore.

  • Can you retrieve  contact custom made fields with the BC API?

I have added Custom Fields atatched to my Contact CRM
I can ContactList_Retrieve the contacts list but would like to add the custom fields  attached to each contact..
but so far had no success yet! Is it possible?

    Thanks Liam!
    Got them.
Also is it possible  to retrieve contact list not with the last update date but created date?
and can we pass a range date?
as i have found that it is quite slow if you go back in time, as it downloads all the records until the present time.

  • Nokia 5800 - can we retrieve contacts

I had Nokia 5800 and saved all contacts in phone memory. My phone has damaged. Is it possible to retrieve contacts?

    Depends on the damage
if it's just the screen that's gone then provided you haven't input a lock code you should be able to power it up,
connect via a usb cable to a pc
and use nokia suite to synch your contacts

  • Can I Retrieve Contact List Lost in Switch to iCloud?

I never synced my iphone 3GS with my PC.  I assumed it was backed up in mobile.me.  In the switchover from mobile.me to icloud, my contact list was lost.  Is there any way to retrieve my contact list from the now-defunct mobile.me?

Did you request migration from MobileMe to iCloud? Your MobileMe contacts should have been migrated.

  • Can I retrieve contact info from a database without the BlackBerry

Here's my story---a couple of weeks ago, I dropped my Pearl 8130 into a big cup of water. After it miraculously came back to life, I decided it was high time to BACKUP my contact info... so I used desktop manager version 4.3.0.17 to do so... I only clicked on 'Addresses' which I assumed meant contacts. I kid you not---the VERY NEXT DAY, my poor BlackBerry went into the pool with me. Now, despite the fact that I just mentioned having gone swimming, I actually do not lead a lavish lifestyle... I live in the desert, and I needed to get my poor, overheated toddler into the pool asap. I do have cell phone insurance, but I don't have the $50 deductible to get a new BlackBerry. I am using a used Casio G'zOne Boulder right now. I had SO much contact info though, that I need. So, here is my question. Is there a way to convert the database (IPD File) info I saved into a word document, or some other readable form so I can obtain all my contacts?
    Thank you in advance,
    Crystal

  • Can I retrieve contacts from a past (not most recent) backup?

The other day, my iPhone 4 decided to delete 95% of my contacts. Unfortunately when I realized this, my phone had already automatically backed up to iCloud, so the most recent backup didn't include any of my contacts. My Time Machine has been iffy and hasn't backed up recently AND I'm unsure if my contacts were saved to iTunes... I had never done that manually (didn't actually know it was an option until recently) but maybe it automitcally synced my contacts?
When I right click on my device in iTunes, restore from backup is not an option. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can restore from a backup from like 5 days ago? Is there a way to see a list of old backups or something? Ah I just want my contacts back! I don't care if I lose the pictures or texts I've sent in the last couple days, any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

  • Phone was stolen but can't retrieve contacts from cloud on new phone. Am I out of luck?

My phone was stolen and may not be backed up on the cloud. Are my contacts lost forever?

There are several ways of backing up contacts:
They are included in backups of your phone to iTunes
They are included in backups of your phone to iCloud
You can set up the phone to sync contacts with an app on your computer when you sync the phone with iTunes
You can set up an iCloud account and sync the contacts to iCloud (this is different from backing up)
You can set the phone to sync contacts with your gmail contact list
You can set the phone to sync contacts with an MS Exchange server if you have an account on one.
If you did not do any of these things they are lost.

  • How to retrieve contacts from a previous back up?

How can you retrieve contacts from a previous backup?

    Actually, this is correct.
I didn't write they were not included in the backup, just why they are part of the backup.
    -> iTunes: About iOS backups
"iTunes will back up the following information
Contacts* and Contact Favorites (regularly sync contacts to a computer or cloud service such as iCloud to back them up).
    * Your contacts are part of the backup to preserve recent calls and favorites lists. Back up your contacts to a supported personal information manager (PIM), iCloud, or another cloud-based service to avoid any potential contact data loss."
