Can I return my Galaxy Nexus under the 1 year warranty?

My Galaxy Nexus, for some strange reason, likes to say it is charging even when it is off the charger. I have no idea what is wrong with it, and resetting it didn't fix it. I hear there is a 1 year warranty on this phone, so how do I go about exchanging this for a different phone?

You need to work with Verizon to verify there is a problem, and if they deem that there is, they can order you a CLN replacement phone. (Certified Like New)

  • Will Apple replace my iPhone 5 charger under the 1 year warranty?

My iphone 5 charger has been acting weird lately. It charges my phone only if i hold it in a certain position and if I move it it will stop charging, and it goes on and off. Is this considered a defected charger that Apple can replace? I'm still under the 1 year warranty as I had gotten my phone late 2013.

I would definitely make an appointment but the nearest Apple store to me is a bit far, trying to get some insight before i decide to make an appointment. Thank you though

  • My iphone5c is still under the 1 year warranty, the top button constantly sticks and does not work properly will Apple still replace my phone even though there is a few chips and scratches on the back?

As Peter says above, only an Apple Store genius can advise you.
But to further clarify, you seem to postulate that if Apple helps you, the cure would be a replacement.  That is not necessarily true.  Let them look at it and advise you what the remedy is.  They may offer you nothing (saying it's your fault), or they may offer you a solution (keeping your current iPhone), or possibly a replacement.

    No.
If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead, they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:

  • HT4528 is a single crack on the front screen of an iphone 5 for verizon  covered under the one year warranty

is a single crack on the front screen of an iphone 5 for verizon  covered under the one year warranty at no cost

Not unless the crack is determined to be caused by a manufacturing error.
Accidental damage is not covered under the standard one year warranty, which is a limited manufacturing warranty, not insurance.

I have had my ipad2 for 9 months and the screen is cracked? Is this covered under the 1 year limited warranty?

In the extremely unlikely event that the screen is damaged due to a manufacturing defect, it would be covered under the warranty. You would have to prove that to Apple that it is a manufacturing defect and not accidental damage. You can read this to see what you replacement options are.

  • Is a cracked screen covered under the one year warranty

Is a cracked screen covered under the first one year warranty on an ipod touch?

    I'm afraid not:
What type of damages are not covered by my warranty?
Apple's Limited Warranty for iPod excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, liquid damage, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. Please review the warranty for further details. When a service is not covered under the warranty, Apple will return your original iPod to you without providing service, and may hold you responsible for shipping costs, plus any applicable sales tax.
An iPod that is ineligible for warranty service may be eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service. For example, an iPod that has failed due to damage or liquid damage is ineligible for warranty service but eligible for OOW service. However, certain damage is ineligible for OOW service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. Please see Apple's Repair Terms And Conditions for further details.

  • My iPhone 4 lock button broke, will Apple fix/replace it for free under the one year warranty?

I've had my iPhone 4 for just under a year now and a couple weeks ago the lock button broke. At first, it was just difficult to press down and now it's just completely stuck. I've been using the assistive touch but it's kind of a hassle. I still have a few days left of my one year warranty, so if I went to the Apple Store would they fix/replace my phone for free or would I have to pay? Also, I was having issues with my speakers previously so I went to get it fixed and they said my phone has water damage and I would need to pay to fix it. Will the water damage effect them fixing my lock button too or is it different? Any advice/guidence is greatly appreciated!

If there is water damage then they will likely conclude that your issues are a result of that and you will have to pay.
But don't ask us, ask them. We're users and this have no idea what Apple will say in your case.

  • When I bring my phone into the store can they check whether it's still under the 1 year warranty or do I have to bring in the reciept?

My lock button isn't responding when I try to lock my phone and I'm planning on bringing it into the Apple Store tomorrow... but when I go into the store do I need to bring the receipt of when I bought the phone in to the store so they can see when I purchased it ...or do they have a system where they can check whether I've had my phone for less than a year? I can't seem to find my receipt of when I bought it but I know that it's been less than a year since I've had this phone. Going in without the receipt would make my life a lot easier!

You can check it before you go: https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do
You do not need the receipt.

  • I purchased a ipod classic on 1/27/13. I now have gotten a red x when I turn it on. Is that covered under the one year warranty?

When I went to the applestore I was told that it was covered for only 90 days. What I read on the website says 1 year. The tech also did not seem to know much about the ipod classic. He was very rude and condescending.

    Hey James1964,
Sorry to hear about your experience at the store. You can leave feedback here:
    http://www.apple.com/retail/feedback/
To address the issue with the iPod, if you haven't already done them, I'd like to supply you with the recommended troubleshooting steps for when you see that red "X" icon on your iPod:
    Restore iPod from Disk Mode
    Disconnect iPod from your computer.
Manually put iPod into Disk Mode.
Open the latest version of iTunes and connect iPod.
    Restore iPod.
    Setup Service for iPod
If you cannot force your iPod into disk mode and restore it, then your iPod may need service. Click one of the links below to setup an iPod Service Request online or make a reservation at the Genius Bar before visiting your local Apple Retail Store.

  • My macbook pro is still under the 1 year warranty, and it has frozen three times.

I got it checked out twice and had left it for overnight testing once.  They found nothing and I'm extremely frustrated. I have always been an avid PC user and to tell you honestly, nothing like this has ever happened to me.  This is a brand new macbook and I have not dropped it or done anything malicious with it and it is already freezing on me.  I bought a macbook pro specifically because I heard it was the best and nothing like this would ever happen (i.e. crashes, viruses).  Extremely disappointed.

What have you added to it since you got it? Software? Memory? Freeware? Shareware?

  • Does the one year warranty apply to replacement iPhone 4s?

On July 2, 2012 I purchased a replacement iPhone 4 from the apple store. A couple weeks ago it stopped vibrating. It's March 6, 2013, if I bring my phone into the apple store will it be covered under the one year warranty? Will they replace it for free or will I have to pay $100?

The warrenty on a replacement phone is either the remaining warranty on the phone being replaced or 90 days, whichever is longer.
