I recently purchased the ios dev program for 99$ a year. I've decided this is not for me though, can I return it/get a reund??

Not sure how long 'recently' is, but you should read your contract. Once you have access and start downloading materials, you've pretty much committed.

Downgrading of any version of iOS isn't supported by Apple. If you search the web, you may find instructions that may work, but you're on your own should any problems arise. For many people it goes without problems, but for some it's reportedly disabled their devices.

I downloaded the wrong version of a movie HD instead of SD, can I return it without having to purchase another copy?

Over the weekend I purchased a movie through iTunes, unfortunately the format I meant to purchase was SD and not HD, Unfortunately I purchased the wrong version, and would like to "return" it if possible. I intend to watch it on a larger screen that doe not support HD formatting.
Does anyone know of a way to do this?

To set to download to HD: Preferences > Store > change your preferred HD format to 1080p.
To download as SD uncheck "Download HD when available"

Can I return an Apple Retail store purchase online?

I bought a new iPad 12 days ago, in an Apple Retail store while on vacation. Sadly, I don't have a retail store within 3 hours of where I live. Is there any other way to return it to get the new one just release?

Unable to enroll in iOS developer program

I am having troubles signing up for the iOS developer program:
I'm starting at the developer.apple.com site and hit "enroll now". It takes me through two more pages and then asks me to either sign in with my existing apple id or create a new one. I sign in with my existing one. It asks "individual or company" and I hit "individual". Next, it opens up the regular apple id sign-in screen, where I sign in and hit return. I end up at my "manage Apple id page", but without any instructions, so I'm unable to continue from there. I checked my apple id and found no problems, I have name and address, paying information and everything set up like I always had, but there is no indication as to what I'm supposed to do on this page, so I leave and try again, but I always end up at my manage page, instead of being able to enroll at the iOS dev program.
Am I being completely stupid here or is there a sudden technical problem on the Apple site?

I too am unable to purchase and register for the iOS developer program in Australia due to the fact that it defaults to United States and doesn't allow me to change it to Australia. Has anyone figured out how to get past this yet? Thanks.

My iOS Developer Program is being PENDING for more than 2 weeks

I have subscribe for the iOS DEV Program for more than 2 weeks already, money has been taken away from my Credit Card... but all until now when I log in to the developer.apple.com and want to get a certificate my account still says "PENDING" although it says it may take up to 24 hours... its been long due.... it is even more annoying when the support keep pushing you from 1 email to another.... and when you email the dev support and noone answer.

Real name vs. Display name when registering for iOS Development program

Hi all,
I know that you need to register under your real name when signing up for the iOS dev program as an individual, and I'm fine with that. (I'm a sole developer, won't be setting up a company or LLC, so I'm going in as an Individual)
My issue is, do we have any control of what users will see as my developer name when they go to my app's page on the App Store, or MUST we use the FULL real name?
To clarify, I'm ok with using my real name, but my full name is really long (W. W. M. E. P. Gunetileke in initials), so would it be possible to use an abbrieviated version?
e.g. Show M. Gunetileke or E. Perera as the developer name instead of showing the name in its entirety.
IF its fine to put a display name like this, the next question is, what would be the legal ramifications when it comes to getting payments from Apple. I understand that money would be wired to whatever bank account I set up? Would there be an issue with this when not using your name in its entirety?

As I said, using my real name is fine with me, but I was wondering whether we need to use the entire name as it is, or whether we may be able tu display a subset of it as the display name. Mine is ridiculously long, and it would be a joke to use the full name there

How can I sign up with Enterprise program, while I have an active membership of the iOS developer program?
I have bought a memership for the iOS Developer program.
I have created an in-house app.
Now I want to publish it to all employees without registering the devices.
So..
I go to their website and try to sign up for the enterprise program, image shown below:

Then I am taken to the image above, there I need to select a program, but I already have a program, the iOS developer program! And the checkbutton of that program, is disabled. If I try to click continue at this page, without sleecting a program, a javascript-box shows "You have to select a program before continuging"...
Do I need to unsubscribe my iOS developer program, to then register it again? Lol!
PS: no clue where I should post this, looked over the forums and could not see anything related to singing up, registering for a program...

Our apps came offline automatically shortly after this as iTunesConnect thought we had not renewed our license, even though we had several weeks ago.
We had a brief panic as our apps were offline for 12 hours, which is how long it took Apple Support to work out what was wrong and hook things up.
I suggest you contact them ASAP to get this fixed so you don't get that iTunesConnect alert to your phone 'Your app status has been changed to Pending Contract'.

You cannot return to previous state. The update re-locked the iPhone
to the original carrier. You must contact the original carrier to see if
they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Be advised that if your iPhone had previously been hacked/modified/
jailbroken to work with other than original carrier, it may be impossible
for the original carrier to unlock it properly.

iOS 4.2.1 is the latest version available for the iPhone 3G, if apps require iOS higher than that then unfortunately you will not be able to install it.
