Can i return my ipod once it is scratched?

can i return my 5th generation ipod once it is scratched? the scracthes are ******* me off and i dont know what to do about it

No, the warranty doesn't cover scratches. I left the plastic film that came on it on til tonight (6 days) til I received my Best Skins Ever and applied it a little bit ago. I also bought a Speck Skin Tight case, never hurts to be double protected. I have babied my iPod all week so I wouldn't get scratches however there are a couple real light scratches on the back case I swear came from the pouch that was included. They were not there until the 3rd day when I used that pouch. How it happened I have no clue as I have treated this pod like a newborn but I'm glad its on the back if it has to be anywhere.

The warranty doesn't cover that. Sell it and put the money towards a new device.

  • Can I return my iPod Touch?

I just bought an iPod Touch, but realized the 16GB model doesn't have a camera to take photos. Can I return it and buy a different iPod Touch?

If purchased within 14 days, you should be able to return your 16G model, and pay the difference for a 32G or 64G. If you're past the 14 day period, you would be better off selling it outright and use the money to purchase your new iPod. Just remember to unlock the iPod before you sell it, so the new owner will be able to use it. Hope this helps, Good luck.

  • Can i return an iPod to apple from a third party seller

I got an ipod from amazon. Found out it was from a third party seller and not amazon itself. I got it out and set it up. I recieved a case for it in the mail 2 days later and went to put it on. At that point I realized that it does not have a rear facing camera. I want to return it, but they won't take it back because I opened it. I didnt know it didnt have a rear facing camera. Anything I can do besides trying to sell it myself?

    Apple will not take it.
    Sell it.

  • I bought a 16 gb ipod touch at 32 gb price at walmart. can I return it and get the 32 gb version?

I bought a 16 gb ipod touch at 32 gb price at walmart. can I return it and get the 32 gb version?

Hey Jonathan, You would have to check with Walmart and there return policies to be certain. But with a receipt showing that you purchased a 32G model not a 16G model and all the packing boxes and papers, I don't know why not, but I don't work for Walmart either. But don't delay if you keep the wrong iPod for to many days Walmart may think you have other motives. Good luck. Cheers.

  • I have created a form saved it then attached it to an email and sent it out. The form arrived and can be opened but how is it returned to me once it is filled in. What steps should the person getting the form follow?

I need help in learning the steps to follow after the fillable form has been filled in and I want to return it to the sender. It arrived as an attachment to an email.

There are various was to return a filled-in PDF form but many require some detailed information about what product the person filling in the form will be using.
As noted above the form can be filled out and faxed or snail mailed to you.
Since Acrobat 3 the form could be submitted to a scripted web page and have the web server perform the tasks necessary to return the data to you.
Since Acrobat 6 the creator could add special "Extended Form Rights" to the form so users with Reader version 5 or better could save the form and email the form.
For mobile devices the app the user will be using will determine how or if the form can be returned.
Do not allow users to use Apple's Preview application on the Macintosh. It will corrupt the form in many ways.

  • Itunes not recognizing IPOD once it says "Synced, you can disconnect".

Hello, I just bought a IPOD NANO 8GB. I downloaded the latest iTunes and installed it.
As default it had "auto sync" when the IPOD is pluged. I deactivated it as I didn't want iTunes opening and syncing when I just plug the IPOD to charge.
Then I tried to sync manually and it said "Syncing" but then I got an error "No disk found...". I checked "auto sync" and it worked.
    OK, now, the problem:
When "auto syncing" it won't sync my videos. I clicked on the "Movies" tab and checked "Sync movies" but then I have to "apply" the changes and it won't recognize the IPOD and says "No disk found". It only recognizes it when opening ITUNES, then it will say "Synced, you can disconnect it" but if I disconnect it then it won't show the IPOD options so I can check "Sync movies".
I tried reinstalling it, and the 5 R. But it won't RESTORE as it can't find the IPOD.
    I need some help, please

Solved! I couldn't do it exactly as you said, but near:
    - Hit RESTORE. It will try to find the IPOD.
    - Unplug and plug the IPOD as fast as I can. It will finally RESTORE.
    - Then check "auto sync".
    - While it's adding my songs back to the IPOD check "sync movies", "sync pictures" and everything. (I checked everything like pictures, podcast... so if I need it in the future I don't have to do this trick again).
    - Finally it will add my movies to the IPOD!
This is not how it is suposed to work, but it worked.
I'm quite dissapointed. I've wanted an IPOD for years and when I finally get one I find out I have to use the horrible ITUNES software. I don't like it, it's huge, slow and don't work fine to me. It should be optional so you don't have to use "third party software" to do things you should be allowed to do with your MP3 player such as getting your songs back to your PC from your player.
But the good thing is that a lot of people is having trouble with IPOD + ITUNES but there's also a lot of people helping them (and me).
Thank you for your help, I hope I can enjoy my IPOD better now!

  • Can I copy from ipod into itunes?

I had my ipod library on a computer that had to be rebuilt and it couldn't be saved. This means that I only have my library on my ipod. Is there any way of syncing it with my laptop without wiping everything off or having to reload thousands of songs into itunes from CD's?

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • My PC's bust. I'm getting a Mac. Can I load my ipod tunes onto the Mac

It's my daughters Ipod actually. She's built up a collection of tunes on her ipod of which she's very proud. However, the PC to which the ipod was synchronised has broken. I'm replacing it with a Mac. If she simply synchronises the ipod with the new machine she'll presumably lose all her tunes. Is there a way out of this please?

  • Can i sync my ipod to empty itunes

so my songs got deleted off of my itunes library on my computer. is there a way that i can plug my ipod into the computer and it will sync the songs on my ipod onto the itunes library? i have windows xp if that matters

If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes 7 Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
