Can I return my opened iPad?l

Hi,
I have recieved an iPad for my birthday, but have not yet opened it.
If I do open it, and deciede I do not want it, can I return it to the Apple store?
I did _not_ buy it from the Apple store, but from autharised Apple reseller.

It needs to go back to where it was purchased from. And unless the gift giver gave you a gift receipt, all you may get is store credit. Especially when they're talking aobut handing over at least 500 dollars.
Just bear in mind, as soon as you break that shrink wrap then you - depending on the store - can end up paying a 15% 'restocking fee'.  If the plastic is intact they can sell it as new, if it's been broken they have to send it back to be refurbished, hence the fee.

You have 14 days from date of purchase. You need all the packaging plus your receipt.

  • Can I return my iPad air

I Just bought iPad air on 3/10/2013. Then I saw the iPad air 2  opened. I really want to buy iPad Air 2 more than iPad air. How can I return my iPad air to ipad air2.

    No.
Apple does not do or accepts trade-ins for cash toward new Apple products. Apple isn't like a car dealer.
You will have to sell your current iPad on your own and use the financial proceeds toward the purchase of a new iPad.

  • Can I return the engraved new iPad (3 gen) for iPad 4?

    Hello,
I bought the new iPad 7 days ago(10/16/2012), and new the iPad (4 gen) is coming!! That's ridiculous!
Can I return the iPad 3 for iPad 4?
It's new, bought on 10/16/2012.  And it's engraved.
    Thank for any helpful reply!!

Me too, very upset about this. I have a friend who is travelling the US now and I had him buy me an ipad 3 just a week ago, now I want to exchange it for the newer ipad, or at least get the money back. The problem is he's there for work so he's been travelling non stop, thus he might not be able to go back to the apple store he bought my ipad anymore, I don't know if he still can exchange or get a refund of it or not. He still has the receipt but already opened the box and activated that ipad
If you don't wanna lose loyal customers, let us exchange the newer one or give back the money at any of your store Apple.

  • Please help me open an iMovie trailer, moved to my iPad from my PC. I can view it on my iPad but am unable to import it into the app to edit it.

I created a trailer on an iPad at a workshop to use in my classroom. I retrieved it from my PC and can view it on my iPad mini, but the iMovie app won't open it. I need to edit it. Desperately need help. I want to show it to my students tomorrow. Thanks! I've checked other threads here but can't find a solution.

    Hi Leica 42,
I never said that a PP file moved to your ipad cannot be straight edited in keynote. Nor did I say that you needed a third party solution...
My response was to offer an option (Jump) because like many others, you're having problems.
Check out the app store and user Keynote reviews. There are more (by 1) 1 star ratings than 5 star ratings for the current version. There are 72 ratings of 3 or more stars while there are 78 ratings of one or two stars. In terms of statistical significance, the numbers are pretty equal, but I prefer to deal with an app that shows more top stars and fewer bottom stars. Some posters have been on here with your same question, so I'm thinking maybe, just perhaps, Keynote is not perfect.
Pro tech reviews vary, many given at the time it was released. Many do not point out that they actually used Keynote before the review. Google Keynote for more pro tech reviews where reviewers have actually used the app.

  • How can I return my ipad 1 to pre OS5?

how can I return my ipad 1 to pre OS5?
Ive been reading the forums all over the place to find the solution to my ipad 1 continually crashing. it does it mainly in safari and the app store.
Its really annoying when you're halfway through composing a long e-mail message and it just reverts back to the home screen.
I'm perfectly happy to give up the advantages of IOs 5, because I would rather have a stable machine (like it used to be) than use the cloud and multitasking. (I don't use them anyway). I know that some of my apps might stop working but its more important to me that the basics work.
    cheers
    Andy

You cannot downgrade the iOS.  Once you upgrade, you're stuck with it.
Part of your problem is that your iPad is old and it probably having difficulty keeping up with the data and protocols for the newer software.  It's probably time to send a note to Santa.

  • Can I return my iPad to previous software update

Having updated to iOS 8 my ipad 2 is very slow and buggy. Can I return it to iOS 7.

Sorry, no. Apple does not support downgrading.
You can try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and see if that helps. You can also try to force quit extra apps to free up system resources. Double tap the home button. Flick the previews for any apps you don't need off the page to close them, then single tap the home button to exit the mode.
If that doesn't help you can look into restoring your iPad. I don't have a link handy to the article, but basically it's backing up your data then 'erasing' your iPad back to just the basic operating system. You then restore your data from that backup. Sometimes a fresh start can clear out cobwebs.

  • Can i return my ipad?

I bought my ipad 4 months ago!Can i return it if i'm not happy with the OS or etc?
    If it's broken,may i get my money back,and not a new device?

No, you cannot return it for a refund or exchange. Apple has a recycling program, but you are better off selling the iPad on your own.

  • Can I return my iPad2 for the new iPad

My parents bought me the new ipad2 in January and they also pay for the one year guarantee. The iPad 2 is brand new in good condition. Now, can I return my ipad2 for the new iPad without paying?

No, unless the store you bought it from has a very generous return policy - the Apple Store official policy is 14 days. The one year warranty is on defects in the product, not for upgrading. You can sell your iPad and use the funds to buy a new one, but you will likely sell for less than you paid.

  • Can I return my The new Ipad ?

I'm from Australia. Can I return my The new Ipad to apple with reason about not feeling happly of my Ipad is unable to use 4g network? Thanks

If you are within the return policy period of where you bought the
iPad. I believe Apple's policy is 14 days from time of purchase.
If you bought it from other than Apple, you will have to check with
    the retailer you purchase from.

Your only option is to sell the iPad and buy a new one.

  • Can I return my Ipod touch 4th generation and get an Ipad, if my Ipod is still under warranty?

Can I return my Ipod touch 4th generation and get an Ipad 2, if my ipod is still under warranty?

The warranty doesn't cover that. Sell it and put the money towards a new device.

  • Can I return my IPAD to apple store because IOS6 is defective?

Can I return my IPAD to apple store because IOS6 is defective?

  • Can I return my ipad 2

can i return my ipad 2 on the one year warrenty.... since the ipad HD came out I want to get the money for that so will apple take my ipad 2 back for that $500........ I have every thing that came with it and it still is in a brand new condition its gonna be me a full year in 2 months

Warranties exist to ensure a product works for a specified time, not to return it for everything you paid.
.... I have every thing that came with it and it still is in a brand new condition
If it's a 64 GB 3G model then it could be worth $395 toward Apple Store credit:
    http://store.apple.com/us/browse/reuse_and_recycle
but i do have problems with the battery of the ipad 2 it dies like at 20 35
Then it is not in "brand new condition" and will be worth less than $395.

  • Can i return my ipad wifi for a wifi 3G eventhough it's engraved?

Can i return my ipad wifi for a wifi 3G even though it's engraved?

According to Apple's customer service line you can return an engraved iPad for an exchange, but it's not clear if it's within 14 or 30 days. If you call they says 30, but their site says 14. I think it has to be purchased straight through Apple though. Contact where you bought it from and tell them you are thinking of buying a iPad and having it engraved, but are concerned about the refund policy. They'll explain it in more detail at that time.
