Can I revert from Dreamweaver CC to Dreamweaver CS6?

I have a year membership to Creative Cloud and I have been very happy with the investment.
But one issue is the CSS Designer panel in Dreamweaver CC. I find the CSS Styles panel from previous releases was much more compact with less scrolling. I am designing on a 13" Macbook Air and am in the middle of a project, and in my excitement i uninstalled CS6 and installed CC - in hindsight I should have kept both until i had tested CC.
I'm hoping that you will have some options in the future to either bring back the CSS Styles panel or customize the CSS Designer panel to be more compact. In the meantime, is it possible for me to re-download Dreamweaver CS6 and  install it alongside Dreamweaver CC ?
This is one case where I wish I had a physical disc - but I am hoping that despite the nature of the cloud service that this will be possible
Thank you.

You have read these instructions carefully:
Note: Very Important Instructions
You need to have a free Adobe account and be logged into it to use the links below, as Adobe sets a session cookie on your browser that allows you to access the direct download links.  Otherwise, you will receive an “access denied” or “resume your download” message preventing the connection.  So please follow these instructions carefully or the links will not work!
Adobe recommends temporarily turning off any surfing restrictions you might have running, like site or cookie blocking, firewalls or antivirus software.
Click «here» to visit this page and then select the “Download Now” button at the bottom.
If asked, then sign in with your Adobe ID or take a minute to create one for yourself.
Now close or cancel any windows that may pop up.
OK, now you’re logged in at Adobe with the trials cookie set, so you can instantly download any of the software below.  Just make sure you have enough disk space.
Download the files either by clicking directly on the DDL links, or by right-clicking and choosing “Save Link As…” on the popup menu – and save all files to the same place.
Then follow the product installation instructions here.
Hope this helps.

  • How can I revert to Dreamweaver CS6?

    Hi,
I have tried to follow the guides on the Adobe blog, but I can't seem to find a way to revert from Dreaweaver CC 2014 back to Dreamweaver CS6.
I prefer the colour palette in CS6, plus in CC it doesn't allow me to show html special characters in Code view - e.g. » £ etc. Plus, when selecting multiple images and applying links (in Design view) it doesn't work half the time.
There are other issues that I don't like - the whole Dreamweaver CC seems a bit rushed, so how I can I revert please?
This is a new computer, so CS6 wasn't installed previously.
    Thanks,

    Hi John,
Thanks for the link - I tried that before, but it's out of date now - following the instructions takes you to Dreamweaver CC Learn & Support | Tutorials, help, troubleshooting & community
However I managed to do some digging on the site and found this: Other downloads
which seems to have all the older CS versions available to download, and the option to tie it to a Creative Cloud account - phew!
    Thanks,
    Jorge

I cannot "Get Started" the Business Catalyst extension from Dreamweaver CS6. This is the error message I receive: "An account with the same email already exists in Business Catalyst. To associate the Business Catalyst account with your AdobeID, please log in to the Business Catalyst web administration console."
I have tried the following actions as per this note, but still unsucessful: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2202#comment-5263
Can anyone help please as I have purchased CS6 now and have sites that I need to administer, I have uninstalled cs 5.5 which worked fine.

There is no need to install the Business Catalyst extension in Dreamweaver CS6. Business Catalyst is incorporated into the program.
If you're having difficulties logging into BC, I suggest that you post a request for help in the dedicated Business Catalyst forum.

  • Can I revert from CC back to CS6?

I received a file I couldn't read (as I am running CS6) so I downloaded a trial version of CC to read the file and save it to CS6. But after that, CC subsumed my CS6 as the default application and without me realizing it saved 14 of my source packaged files as CC—now I cannot open them.  I am furious!  What can I do?  I refuse to be manipulated into the "CLOUD" until I am ready!   I already uninstalled CC...

Yes, you didn't mention which Creative Cloud tools or trials you were using, but Cozmicone is right – for most Adobe CC apps you can downsave the file back to be openable in older CS6, CS5, CS4 or CS3 versions of the programs... although newer features that weren't present in earlier releases will not be supported.

  • Can I edit my dreamweaver CS6 site in another html editor?

My client wants to be able to make minor updates to his website. I've built it in DW CS6. Can he update it KompoZer or some other free HTML editor? And will those changes also be made to his mobile site?
    Thank you so much!

You may want to consider building the site(s) with a backend CMS (content management system) that the client can log-in to for editing.  This requires no special software on his part.  All he needs is an internet connection and a web browser so the site can be updated from virtually anywhere in the world.  The other main advantage to providing him with a CMS is that the rest of the site cannot be messed up by the client since he will only have access to the pages you designate.  Depending on your coding skills, requirements and budget, the following CMSs might be all you need.
Cushy CMS (watch the video to see how it works)
    No PHP or databases required.

  • Can I upgrade from CS3 Design Premium to CS6 Design Standard?

I'm looking to upgrade my CS3 (and may need to as I'm upgrading my Mac OS X and not sure about compatibilty)... of course I know I can upgrade like for like, i.e. go from CS3 Design Premium to CS6 Design and Web Premium but I don't really need Dreamweaver and Flash so just wondering if I can upgrade to CS6 Design Standard?
Also, as I'm still relatively new to this arena and have never upgraded before... how does it work? Do I need to keep my CS3 software (i.e. disks) as well as the new software/disks? i.e. if for whatever reason I may need to re-install down the line...or can I get rid of the CS3 once I get the CS6?
    Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can do that. But you only have a few more weeks. You may want to look into Creative Cloud instead. You'll need the CS3 serial number to upgrade to CS6 but the CS3 apps do not necessarily need to be installed.

  • Can I downgrade from Dreamweaver CC to CS6?

Do you know if I can downgrade my current version of Dreamweaver CC to CS6?  I'm totally frustrated with Dreamweaver CC!  You can't do anything in this damn program.  nothing works.  When I look at all the tutorials and examples online with CS6 I am pulling my hair off my head because I can't do any of what the tutorials are trying to teach you because CC is totally different, and nothing works.  it's the worst program I ever bought in my life.

Yes, as a Cloud member, you have access to CS6.

  • Can i still buy Dreamweaver cs6 (student edition) from say.. ebay. And get a licence key from Adobe?

I have my student proof all ready to go.
    Thanks in advance.

The "perpetual license" version (disk version) of DWCS6 is still available, you don't HAVE to go with the Creative Cloud for that one.
Keep in mind though, they won't be adding many, if any, new features to it.
As long as it isn't a cracked/pirated version, you'll be fine.

  • Can anyone help with Dreamweaver CS6 crashing in Mavericks OS?

    Hi all,
I've been going through all the discussions and performing all the steps that are in these forums about Dreamweaver crashing on launch, with no luck. I am using an iMac 2007, Mavericks OS and Dreamweaver is the only software in the Creative suite that will not launch.
I was on a live chat with Adobe and was told they would contact me from their technical support team and haven't heard a thing. Now I keep going through support trying to get a phone number, at this point I will pay to get it fixed.
Thanks for any help out there!

When you say you've tried "performing all the steps" have you completed all of the below?
Deleting the program cache: Deleting a corrupted cache file
Renaming the personal configuration folder: Locating your personal configuration folder
    Restoring Preferences: Restore preferences | Dreamweaver CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6
