I'm looking at the new Macbook Pro and am curious if I can run both a PC and a Mac using the Creative Cloud.

Install Mac OS X 10.6 on a different partition or drive. This won't work on PowerPC Macs or any Mac which shipped with 10.7.

Can't run Photoshop on win 7 64 bit - licensed creative cloud member

Starting today I have been unable to run photoshop cs6 and can't find a work around. I have logged into my creative cloud account and reviewed adobe forums for solutions. Very, very frustrated with adobe licensing model.
Message comes up indicating that I have "trial version" of software (I do not). When I try to "license this version" I can only input a serial number - unable to input my creative cloud password.
Right now I am uninstalling photoshop and I will try re-installing using the adobe application manager - which I can sign into using creative cloud membership.
This sucks!

Make sure to install the latest PS updates. There was a bug in the 13.1 update that got fixed in the immediately following 13.1.1 patch. Otehr than that going back and reinstalling seems just as good...

My CS4 Indesign now says I need the legacy Java version to run it. I upgraded to Yosemite and use CC 2014 Photoshop, but don't want to upgrade my Indesign as I don't use it much, but I do want it available. Can I run two versions of Java on the same machine?

I'm pretty sure that that's not possible.
CS4 is not guaranteed to work under Mavericks or Yosemite so you're on your own.

I'm pondering getting a creative cloud membership. As I work on windows and mac, it would be great if I could work off a mac at home one day then work off a windows pc at work the next. Does creative cloud allow me to do this?

With creative cloud , you get the option to install the product on a windows and Macintosh both . Also , one single license can be installed on upto two machines as well .

What happens if I use a Typekit font for a site and later stop using Creative Cloud

A client has asked me if I use a Typekit font on her site, what happens if I stop using Creative Cloud. Will the fonts still work on her site?

If you terminate your Cloud subscription, I'm pretty sure you'll need to subscribe separately to Typekit. The individual plan is free but you must join to use it.
As an alternative to TypeKit, look at Adobe's Free Edge Web Fonts.

I own Photoshop CS6 and am thinking of upgrading to CC. My large format printer is connected to a PC and my regular working station is a Mac connected to a 17" printer. Can I run both systems with one subscription to CC?

It would harm the PC industry because you wouldn't have to buy one since the Mac can do both. But with only a 128 GB SSD in your rMBP, you may have trouble fitting both on it.
