Can I run elements 12 without an internet connection?

I have elements 12 installed on my notebook computer and it's working fine. I am about to attend a workshop on elements this sunday and am wondering if I can run it without an internet connection? I can get an internet for my notebook via my mobile phone if necessary but will need to get a data package upgrade to do so.

Hi,
As far as i know, once photoshop elements 12 has been activated, it never needs the internet again, except to deactivate.
(there are a few things to download, such as the extra stuff for the Effects panel that require an internet connection, but that is optional)
You should probably ask over in the photoshop elements forum just to be sure.

  • Can you run weblogic without a network connection?

I'm using weblogic platform 7.0. When I tried to start weblogic without a network
connection, it got some error trying to connect to www.bea.com. Presumably it's
trying to load the dtd in order to valid the deployment descriptors. If I downloaded
the dtds and changed my deployment descriptors to point to the local dtd file
urls, weblogic could be started while staying off the net. Is there a simpler
way to make weblogic (and applications deployed on it) work without a network
    connection?

I had the same problem (when my DSL provider went out of business ;-)). If I
remember correctly, the problem was that I had public id in the descriptor
which didn't match weblogic's - all the dtd's needed are in the weblogic.jar.

  • How can I browse history without an Internet connection

I want to open the content page, I was visited, but has been deleted, you do it in IE by browsing the Internet without a connection, but I do not know how to this in Firefox, especially that I do not use other

Browsing History is stored in the '''cache''' and can be viewed via '''about:cache''' ''(type that in the URL bar and hit Enter)''. You can search the cache with the Find Bar at the bottom of the browser window, which can be opened using {Ctrl + F}.
Problem is that if you have gone to that page page since it was changed, you'll only find the new version of that page in the cache. A serial history of the websites you have visited isn't kept, a revisit to a web page will replace the previous cache entry for that page.
Try using the '''Wayback Machine''' to locate an older version of that webpage. <br />

But, if that page was dynamically created you probably won't find it there.

  • What can the N800 do without an Internet Connectio...

The N800 appears to be a great Internet tool. But what can the N800 do without an Internet Connection? It appears dependent on the connection
In reading the User's Guide I am left wondering how much work can be accomplished when out of reach of the Internet???

With computing so Internet-centric, the N800 sounds pretty good, but two of my most valued programs won't run on it...and I do not know if there is are Quicken-like, Excel-like, Word-like programs for it.
I am traveling to less-traveled places in China this summer and hope to use it for online, in-country air travel reservations...and Skype out phone calls home.
But beyond that, it's a geek-toy...aren't we allowed to have as many toys as we want...it's just that I like to be able to justify my toys

  • Can I install Adobe Photoshop in my laptop and access it without any Internet connection?

Can I install Adobe Photoshop in my laptop and access it without any Internet connection?

Perpetual versions you can and it possible to to activate them offline.  Offline Activation
The Creative Cloud versions can be installed offline but you need an Internet connection to activate the installed applications,  I also believe Adobe has recently made the Creative cloud desktop application an mandatory install.  It need not be running at all times however it will be installed.

  • I have purchased and downloaded some TV Shows through iTunes. How can I watch them on my iPad without an internet connection?

I have purchased and downloaded some TV Shows through iTunes. How can I watch them on my iPad without an internet connection?

Demo the same thing happened to me.  I purchased a seasons pass for Sons of Anarchy Season 6 and I've got the eposides on my IPad but Airplay won't allow me to watch the episodes without an internet connection or WiFi.  Is there anything else I can do so that I can watch these eposides without an internet or wifi connections?

  • Is there a way that I can control iTunes with the iPhone without any internet connections?

First let me say that I am ready to throw this POS in the lake.  Is there a way that I can control iTunes with my iPhone without any internet connections?  On my houseboat I have a wifi router and want to connect my phone to my computer to control my music which plays from my computer through my stereo.  I can easily do it with my laptop without having to jump through any internet APPLE BS , but I dont want to have my laptop out on the deck. I just want to use the phone as a remote control.
Remote wont do it because it keeps saying Im not connected to the internet, even though is is connected to my computer.  Same problem with JumiAmp.

It should have an option to manage iTunes library without network connection, like Bluetooth or connect directly to the computer without a router or wi-fi, i live outsite of the city and i dont have the ability to control my iTunes librry from the iphone

  • HT1657 Can a movie be watched on an airplane without a internet connection?

Can an Itunes movie be watched on an airplane without an internet connection? If so, how does it know when to start the 24 hour timer for the movie to be deleted?

In theory it should work, in reality many keep coming here stating it did not work. Things get a little muddled as location services and time-zones can cause all kinds of glitches when travelling at jet speeds.

  • I'm a new iPad owner. When I've rented a movie, I can't work out how to play it back without a wifi connection. I get a message which says you cannot connect to the iTunes store without an Internet connection. This happens whether I've rented or purchased

I'm a new iPad owner. When I've rented a movie, I can't work out how to play it back without a wifi connection. I get a message which says you cannot connect to the iTunes store without an Internet connection. This happens whether I've rented or purchased a film. We're going on a flight soon and would ideally like to watch one on the plane. Can someone please provide some step by step instructions. Thanks.

Rented or purchased video are watched through the videos app after you have downloaded them, iTunes on iOS devices is for buying media only.

  • Can you print from a iPad to an AirPrint printer without an Internet connection?

Can you print from a iPad to an AirPrint printer without an Internet connection?

    General Jer-
    Maybe.
If you can set up your AirPrint printer's WiFi to create an Ad Hoc Network, then your iPad can connect its WiFi directly to it and be able to print.
I have the HP D110 AirPrint printer.  As I recall, it was set up in Ad Hoc Network mode out of the box.  I had to change the setting in order to update its firmware over the internet.  You probably should do that as well, to be sure it has the latest firmware.
If you happen to have an old Apple AirPort WiFi base station, you can use its WiFi network for printing.  It does not require an internet connection to print.  Other brands may work as well, but some do not correctly handle the Bonjour data required by AirPrint.

  • Can you download movies into iTunes then watch them via airplay without an internet connection?  We want to be able to watch them in our RV that does have an internet connection always.

Can you download movies into iTunes and watch them via airplay without an internet connection?  We want to be able to watch downloaded movies in our RV.

If you want to watch on your iPad screen, you don't even need airplay.
If you want to watch on a television screen, you need an AppleTV.
    In both cases...
If the movies are purchased, there is no need for an Internet connection to the outside world.  If they're rented, you need an Internet connection for the first minute or so that Apple knows that you're watching the movie.  I do not know if a rented movie can be stopped and restarted without an Internet connection.

  • HT1390 Can you watch a rented movie without an internet connection?

It is my hope to rent a movie today
and watch it while on a flight tomorrow.
Can I watch a rented movie without an internet connection?
I.e: is it streamed or downloaded?
Do I have to buy the movie in order to watch it without an internet connection?

Please be aware of the movie rental's time limitation that you have 30 days from the time of rental to watch your movie, and once you start watching it, you have 24 hours to finish watching it. You may watch it as many times as you like during those 24 hours. It may be helpful to make sure the download completes successfully before you begin watching the movie.
Once the download is complete you can watch it without an Internet connection. However, an Internet connection to the iTunes Store is required to authorize playback or activate the 24 hours time-limit of movie rentals. This means, only during the starting of the movie. Once you have started playing the movie rental, internet connection is not required. You can play anywhere without internet connection.
For more information on movie rentals, you can visit:
iTunes Store: Movie rental frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Note: 24 hours time limit is for United States customer only, while 48 hours for other countries.

    Hello mckenna34,
Thank you for the question. If you have fully download the movie to your device, you can watch the movie offline as described in this discussion:

  • Embedding (not linking) videos in keynote, Then exporting as Powerpoint (mostly PC users) so they can use from a jumpdrive without needing internet connection.  Instructions/tips on how to accomplish This?

I'd love your advice/guidance!!  I need to embed (not link) videos in a Powerpoint doc so that anyone (mostly PC users)can open and use from a jumpdrive without needing internet connection. I was considering using keynote and exporting as a PPT.
Or is there a way to do this in a newer version of Powerpoint? (i'd rather stick with keynote) what would that be the best option?
Any Instructions/tips on how to accomplish this? Thank you in advance for taking the time!
I have an old version of PPT on my g5 tiger tower. (microsoft office version doens't owrk on the macbook pro.)

  • My computer is running sluggish and the internet connection runs very slow. what can I do?

My mac air is running slugiish and my internet connection takes forever to change windows...what can I do?

If the computer is brand new, it may be reviewing (indexing) all you files for search. This will take a few hours to complete.  Otherwise you likely have a program that is running poorly and slowing your system down.
    Open the Fibder
Click the Go menu at the top of the screen
Click on utilities menu item under go
    Open the Activity Monitor
When Activity monitor opens, there will be a lot of data in the window, to make better sense of it click on the column labeled CPU. This will sort entries by how much of your computer's CPU they use. The lower the number the better.
Locate any programs using 80% or more of your CPU. They are the likely culprits of your speed issue.
If the speed issue is only related to surfing the internet, then you more than likely have an issue with WiFi instead. Try moving closer to your wireless router to see if it speeds up.
