Can I run two different OS on same computer?

I have a Mac Pro Intel Tower with 3 hard drives. I am currently running OS 10.4.11 and my question is could I install OS 10.6 on a separate drive and run each at separate times? I have software that I don't want to have to buy new in order to run on 10.6

10.6 with Rosetta, optionally installed, should run just about everything that will run in 10.4. After you install 10.6 on another drive, you might want to check whether or not your old software, whatever it is, won't run on 10.6.

Can I run 2 different domains with same name but on 2 different machines?

I am trying to setup 2 domains with same name (sharedcds1) on 2 different machines (Machine1 and Machine2).
          When I start the weblogic managed server 1 (sharedcds1managedserver1) on Machine2, it throws an error saying it has some conflicts with the managed server 1 running on Machine1. How did the managed server of one machine know about the other server. Can I run 2 different domains with same name but on 2 different machines?

Yes you can. Make sure that domains configured to use different multicast address. WLS uses multicast for communications between nodes in domain.
          although your configuration will work, you could have troubles if you going to execute inter-domain calls between domains/servers with the same names.

thanks for your answer. Yes indeed HTML widgets run only full screen (snif snif). I consider this as a "distinguishing treatment".
One solution i read !!!!! was to create through keynote a countdown clock, to export to quicktime move and to imported at iBA predefined widgets. of course this is not the solution i need.
So, in order to have at the same widget and run together a count down clock and a preview test (20 questions) i must
1)"hack" the preview widget and insert a countdown clock
2) create a preview test using iAD.....

Hi, I am very new to all this. Is it possible to have two different ipods running from itunes on the same computer. If it is how do I separate them so when I connect and ipod it doesn't sync both lots of music.

I'm currently syncing three iPods to the same library. iTunes will recognize each iPod as a unique device. My preferred method of managing my iPods is "Sync Selected Playlists". This allows me the convinience of syncing (and all my ratings, playcounts and last played sync) while still being able to control what goes on each iPod. You can set your preferences for each iPod. You could managage one manually and sync the other. Whatever works best for you.

How can I run two different versions of Firefox, the latest does not work with an important site I need to use?

With the latest version of Firefox I cannot send "Quick Mails" to my students using the college's ANGEL system. I had to uninstall it and go to an earlier version. I prefer the newest rev.
Any way to run two different versions. It does not have to be simultaniously. Seems to be a problem on both my Mac and XP systems.

Currently I don't think there is a way to run two version of firefox at the same time. But you can install Firefox Beta or Aurora instead (which is build for future release for firefox) and help test it! Here's the link:

I want to control speed of the rotating shaft and force applied by the pneumatic cylinder using two different PIDs from the same program.
I managed to get two PIDs to work separatly using PID control loop VI`s supplied with labview 6.1 (I got Kc, I and D right, so there is no overshoot). When I try to run both PIDs within my vi they don`t work. I again tried various gains and managed to get one PID to work but not the other. Then through trial and error I managed to get a second PID to work but I had to change refresh time of the FOR loop from 100msec to 1msec.
Does anyone have experience with running two PIDs in the same program? Does the timing of the FOR loop influence PID contorller? Does equiring of other data while run
ning PID has effect on the PID?
I would really appreciate any comments/help. I am pretty thrustrated at this time

The timing of the FOR loop will influence your PID control, which is a fundamental part of PID control. Acquiring data doesn't affect the PID although it could affect the timing of the loops. For instance if you only have one DAQ card you would want to have it all in one loop because you can not have two AI sessions open to the same card.

I don't know whcih PID vi's you are using but I had similar problems. I
solved it by going to the VI properties of the PID subvi, select category
execution and make sure that reentrant execution is selected. Only then two
instances of the PID vi can run without interfering each other.

You can either have multiple user accouts on your computer, or create separate playlists for your two iPods in iTunes.

What happens if I enable iTunes Match in a different account on my Mac Pro. I am already set up with iTunes Match because I was travelling and I wanted to use my iPhone on the road but not fill up the storage. I tried to download some items I bought but I keep receiving a message that if I download from another ID I wouldn't be allowed to download past or current purchases from another ID. A computer or device can only be associated with one Apple ID at a time. This is why you get the error. If you continue to wsitch from one account to another and keep downlaoding, you will trigger the 90 day limit. When taht happens, you need to wait for 90 days before you can switch users.
