Thanks in advance..

The "RC" version of Parallels is a Release Candidate that while not a release version it is very near.
As the name implies it is a candidate for release to the public. Many larger developers have mutliple versions of their products and will have often 1 through to about 5 release candidates from which they will select one to release as the final product.
You can find it here…

  • Can you run a windows only Photoshop plugin on a Mac using Parallels?

Can you run a windows only Photoshop plugin on a Mac using Parallels?   In particular a .8BF plugin like PTFilters.8BF  or Super Cubic.

If you also have a Photoshop version of the Photoshop application, the answer is of course YES.
    Otherwise, the answer is no,
If you have the CC subscription, then of course you can install a Photoshop Windows version and run your plug-in.  That'll be separate from your Photoshop Mac install..

Yes for most.  You can run a regular app with an audio podcast.  I do not know what could run with a video podcast.

  • Can we run 11g RAC and 12c RAC in the same server?

There is a requirement to run 11g RAC and 12C RAC in the same server for a year or so and then remove 11g RAC?
    Current setup:
    HP-unix 3 node RAC on 11g R2
    4CPU
    64 GB RAM
    3 TB SAN storage
    no ASM
    Upgrade setup:
    HP-unix 3 node RAC on 12C RAC
    8CPU
    128 GB RAM
    6+ TB SAN storage
    ASM
We are asked to use the same server and upgrade Hardware to install and run 12C RAC. What are the implications of running RAC in the same server/nodes?
    Thank you for your time!

  • Can you take your main Hard Drive from a PC and put it in the Mac Pro?

Can I take my PC's 120GB hard drive that already has Windows XP on it and put it in one of the hard drive slots in the Mac Pro and have a dual boot system that way? Or is there any way I can do that?
    Thanks

    Hi there.
Not only reactivating is to consider, but Windows tends to
act strange if too many hardware parts change (and too many
    drivers are to be installed).
Especially with SATA-Drivers there are almost always difficulties, because Win XP itself doesn't know about SATA (because its too 'old').
Since I have use PCs for almost 18 years I would always recommend a fresh install, when things like Mainboards are changed.

  • Geforce 8800GT AND Geforce 7300GT in the Mac Pro?

I used the search feature: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1288408
That's the only useful thread I could find that has to do with 2 cards in the Mac Pro at the same time. So basically I'm wondering, has anyone tried this with the same cards or the same idea before? and did it work?. I'm just wondering if it's possible so I don't have to let the 7300GT gather dust in my closet. I do run Windows XP in bootcamp, not with parallels or VMware Fusion because I need to play PC games at full throttle with full system performance etc. Thanks in advance for any tips.

You can use the two graphics cards, but it's only useful if you have more than two displays. It won't give you higher speed.

  • Can I run office 2013 and Office 364 on the same computer?

My company is running Office 2013, Word, Excel, Project, Exchange and SharePoint.
I have a small business on the side and I was considering Office 365.
Is it possible to run both versions on the same machine without conflicts?
    Valgardur Gudjonsson

    Hi,
You can only run the click-to-run version of Office side-by-side with an earlier version of Office (say Office 2010) that is already installed on your computer.
Office 2013 MSI on a system with Office 365 (Click to Run) is NOT supported.

  • Can I run iPhoto 09 and iPhoto 11 on the same machine?

A few months ago I bought a MacBook Air, which came pre-installed with iPhoto 11. On a recent trip I tried using it to edit a lot of photos I took. This program is appalling! So many clicks to carry out edits (3:1) compared with iPhoto 09! Cropping is a nightmare on a trackpad; it's almost impossible to nail down the crop to the right size and position. The comments area is ruined; I annotate all my photos and this used to be really easy, with the comments area right next to the photo in the bottom left of the screen. Now I have to go through mouse clicks to access the comments and only two visible lines are available and then scroll bars kick in. To view the comments I now have to fiddle around trying to hover over the comments box, instead of just glancing at the corner of the screen.
Who designed this beast? Who could possibly think its editing ergonomics are an improvement over iPhoto 09? As a result, I want to install iPhoto 09 on my MacBook Air, which I'll do using by using the wireless disk function from my Mac Pro. The question is, do I have to de-install iPhoto 11 first, or can the programs sit side-by-side? I shall put the iPhoto 09 icon in my dock so I launch the right version.
I know this post contains a complaint, which is because I want to know if other users share my frustration. However, I have also sent a lengthy feedback to Apple in the hope they may simplify the editing in iPhoto 12.

    Hi Jayson,
I never tried to install SAP on XP myself... only heard that someone had issues with it, and it is not officially listed in PAM.
For separated ABAP and JAVA systems, you can install them in any order.
For ABAP+JAVA, you have to install ABAP first, or both at the same time.
All installation guides are available at https://service.sap.com/instguides

  • Can you run both Premium and Enhanced agents on the same UCCX system?

    Just that.
    Thanks,
    Steven

No; all seats must be of the same license level. The design guide mentions this around page 1-2 when it talks about product packaging options (i.e. Enhanced, Premium, etc).
Cisco Unified CCX deployments must have all product components and optional features of the same package type. Mixing components or options from different packages is not supported. For example, Enhanced Inbound voice option and Premium Quality Manager option are not supported.

  • Can I use XP, Vista and Windows Server on my Mac Pro

Looking for options to have multiple Operating Systems available for bootup.
I need to have the ability to run XP, Vista, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 server. I am currently using a Windows PC with BootCommander. I want to use my Mac Pro for its power.
I have tried to use VMWare Fusion and it works perfectly. However, Camtasia crashes regularly within Fusion and I need high resolution desktop captures and the way virtualization does (rather does not) virtualize the RAM on the video card has made it not a viable solution.
    Your help is appreciated.

Format one or more of your drives as MBR and setup some partitions. Install in proper order. Or use multiple drives. Maybe someone on Fusion forum can help.
    http://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/desktop/fusion
Some have used multiple VMs with Fusion and Apple Pro RAID5.

  • Simultaneously downloading with the 400 and 800 FireWire on the Mac Pro

During a Mac Pro training Web Cast the speaker related that one could download with both the 400 and 800 FireWire simultaneously, however the speaker never explained how to do that.
How would you go about downloading simultaneously?

The external hard drives have their own power.....turns out that the 400 and 800 firewire busses are the same.....What Apple did was an 800 firewire buss and has 1 port located on the rear of the tower and 2 400 ports (one one the front and one on the back). The 2 400 ports are equal to the 1 800 port, so when you use one 400 port and 1 800 port the 800 port becomes another 400 port. In other words.....I only have 1, 800 buss and not an 800 buss and 2 400 busses....pretty tacky if you ask me......also, I learned that the Canon DV cameras (ZR70MC) is a real hog when it comes to firewire, so, when I have my external hard drives plugged into the 800 buss and the Canon plugged into the 400 buss, it's on overload and their is no buss protocal for who uses what. Which means if the external drives are using the buss the Canon is out of luck......The solution is to install a separate firewire card and plug either the Canon or the drives into it thus freeing up the internal 800 buss for other uses.
The workaround is for me to unplug the power to the external hard drives, plug in the Canon, capture all of my material onto the internal drive, once I've captured all of my files, remove the Canon from the buss, powerup and re-mount the external drives, then, move all of my captured files over to my work space which is located on one of the external drives......what a pain in the butt......but that's the way it works.....

  • How can i run multiple instances of Photoshop EXE at the same time on windows 7

Alright. You may ask why do you need multiple ?
Assume that i have 10000 PSD files in 10 different folders
I have a script that just save as them as PNG
And these files are each 3000x3000 px
My computer has 8 cores and 1 photoshop exe is only using 1 cpu core
Also i have SSD raid system it has 750 mb read write per second
So right now i am wasting my time with running only 1 photoshop exe instead of at least 4

I'm not aware of a way to run multiple instances or different versions of photoshop at the same time on windows.
Assuming of course they are all installed on the same operating system.
On mac versions you can running two different versions of photoshop at the same time, but i don't think that's possible on windows where it
appears that only one version of photoshop can run at a time.
