Can I saparate the sound from my video?

I am using my iSight camera and iMovie to make a video clip but the sound is out of sync. I sthere a way to correct this? Can I separarte the video and the sound?

I don't have an iSight so am not sure what format it records in, but in general, you can pick a clip in iMovie and then use the Extract Audio command to make a separate copy of the audio (iMovie will then automatically mute the audio in the clip itself). You can then move the extracted audio around to get the sync back.

No. But, are your speakers only connected to the AE or are they also connected to an amplifier?
You would need to use a Toslink cable to go from the Apple TV to the speakers/amp.

When I closde a page where there has been a video, ie youtube or the like, the sound from that video that had played will continuw to run. I can close Firefox and upload it again and still will the sound of the video continuew to run. WHY?

When I close a youtube video or some other video and even after closing the tab the sound from the video continue to be played. As a matter of fact I have even closed Firefox and re-started Firefox and it plays again. I even went and turned off the computer and re-started the computer and then Firexox and the video sound was still there playing. WHY is this happening???.

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.

Can you record the audio from a Video embedded in a pdf?

I can't seem to find anything on this, so I will ask. A client sent us a company produced interactive pdf and wants us to use the audio from a video clip that is in the pdf. We asked for the audio clip but they don't know who to get it from and just keep saying it is in the pdf. While others try to explain that a pdf and an mp3 are not the same thing. I get to look into a fall back position of trying to extract the audio (or video). There is no copyright issue here. Client peon just can't/won't get the proper file.
Maybe some one can help or point me to info that says it is not possible.

I have a couple of comedy videos and i find it unecessary to have the video and the audio, since it would be just as great with only the audio. So my question is if anyone knows if i can rip only the audio froma quicktime movie? thanks in advance.

Try virtualdub found at virtualdub.org. I have never tried a quicktime movie. If it doesn't work, go to www.digital-digest.com. They will have the answer.

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

Open the video in Quicktime Player.
Select the Export menu item.
Change the Export type to "Sound to Wave".
Save the WAV file somewhere with the default settings.
Load the WAV file into iTunes and use iTunes to convert it to AAC for the Nano.

Select the video clip and open the clip inspector to the video tab. You can set the volume slider to zero.
You can apply this to a bunch of clips at once.
Do the first one.
Then Edit/Copy.
Then Select the clips to apply it to by select while holding command key. (or EDIT/SELECT ALL to get all clips)
Then EDIT/PASTE ADJUSTMENTS/AUDIO ADJUSTMENTS

How can I enhance the sound on a video recording?

I recently filmed my daughter's wedding but the radio mike I used on the reception speeches was faulty. Consequently, the only sound I have for the speeches is off a camcorder mike on the other side of the room which means that there is a great deal of extraneous noise.
I am using PE13 on an iMac with Yosemite. I have not yet found a way of filtering or enhancing the sound. Does anyone know of an inexpensive app that might help improve the audio?

Have you looked at the Audio Effects under the fx Effects?

How can I get the audio from my video to playback in Keynote?

I pulled a flv from YouTube. Converted it to an mp4 and imported it to my iTunes library. Using the media browser, I imported the video into my Keynote presentation. The video plays back fine. However, there is no audio-despite the volume on my mac and the volume on the movie in the inspector is all the way up. The video plays back with audio in iTunes, but not in Keynote.
My presentation is due Tuesday night. This video is the only thing keeping it incomplete. What gives?

If it's music purchased from iTunes then you should be able to copy it over to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. If it's music that you purchased from elsewhere and/or copied from CDs and you don't have it elsewhere then there are some programs listed half-way down this page that should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
