Can I save a filled out form in adobe reader

How do I save a filled out form in adobe reader?

When you fill out a filled out form in Adobe Reader, it is saved automatically when you quit the app (unless you crash). You could email the filled form, and it will open correctly filled out on Reader or Acrobat on Mac or Windows. (Warning: It may not look like it got filled out if you view it in Mail, Dropbox, or another iOS app, but it will appear correctly in Reader or Acrobat.)

  • Need help filling out forms in Adobe Reader 10.

Just upgraded to Adobbe Reader 10. How can I fill out forms?  There is no hand tool. I checked the security of the document. It states that filling out forms is allowed.  Please help. There is no way that the sender of the document expected it to be filled out by hand.  Thanks!!!

That only means that IF it had filable fields, you would be alowed to fill them in. It does not mean that those fields exist. If it's fillable, you would get a notification at the top of the PDF.

  • Save a filled-out form to Word - saved as blank

I purchased ExportPDF so that I could save a filled-out form to Word. I needed to do this because, though the form has fields that allow seemingly infinite text to be inserted, the text is not visible when printed.  The document must be submitted by US Mail.  When I converted the completed document to Word, it erased ALL of the text I added and unchecked all boxes.  If this is all it can do, I need to unsubscribe and get a refund.  That is totally worthless to me.

    Hi,
Did you try with different file? If so, are the results the same?
Would you send your document as an email attachment?
I will check it from my end. Please add the link to this forum post for reference.
I have sent you my contact details on your email id.
    Regards,
    Florence

How can I open and fill out a Secured Adobe PDF job application?

    Hi margueritew68053277,
You should be able to fill that out using the free Adobe Reader, or Adobe Fill & Sign.

  • Unable to save a filled-out form

I have tried to complete a form and save it to my PC as it is one I use fairly regularly for my work. I now get a message saying "Please fill out the following form. You cannot save data typed into this form. Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records." I have checked and my membership auto-renewed in September so I do not understand why I am unable to amend and save this form the same way I was able to previously with the same level of membership. Can you please explain?

    HI botanicsdc,
If you're filling out the form via Adobe Reader, it needs to be Reader-enabled for you to save the data that you enter into it. Please see https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-enter-form-data-using-adobe-reader for more information.
    Best,

  • I am trying to save a filled-out form as a word doc,

I am trying to save a filled-out  acrobat 10.0 form as an Office 2010 word doc, but the data in the form is lost when the word document is opened, I only get the labels for the fields.  I was able to do this previously but not any more.
Is there some button I need to push  or steps I'm missing?

You probably need to flatten the document first so the fields become part of the document. When you look at a form, fields are markup, not part of the actual document.

  • Why can't I email filled out forms?

I fill out a form, but when I email it it sends a blank.

    Hi Posrthos,
Your data is in the form, but Apple's email application doesn't display forms or comments in PDF properly when it shows  the preview. The recipient of the email will be able to open the PDF in Adobe Reader and see the filled out form correctly, regardless of this issue in iOS.
We have reported this problem to Apple and are working with them to make sure that they understand the PDF specification, but do not have any info on when or whether they will fix the display in their email app.
    Thanks

  • Filling in forms with adobe reader in firefox on ubuntu64

    Hi
I am trying to fill in pdf forms with adobe reader 8.12 in firefox 3.03 and ubuntu64 8.04.
The forms display in firefox and I can check boxes, but when I try to select a text box I am unable to type. I can enter text by right clicking on the box and pasting. I also cannot use tab to move between boxes.
If I save a pdf to disk and open it with adobe reader then I can enter text and cycle through boxes with tab.
Sometimes I am unable to load pdfs in firefox that I have viewed before. When I click on the link a blank page is displayed. I can open them if I set firefox to open them externally with acroread rather than in the browser window.
    Thanks for any help.
    Paul

It's completely up to the IRS to create a form where the information fits in the field. There is nothing you can do with Reader since it is simply what it is called, a reader.
For you to change the document properties would require using the full version of Acrobat.

  • How can I submit or save a filled out form?

I have an Adobe form pending that responds "The operation is not allowed." when I click the submit button to email it.  The same form will only save in its blank state.  I am using Reader on a Macbook Pro.  I have tried setting the security preferences so that the source (and destination) of the form is trusted or privileged but that didn't work.  Is this a security matter or a buy-more-software matter.  The form needs to go out by email.  -N

Make sure you update to the latest version of Adobe Reader (11.0.07).

  • How to fill out form using adobe?

I downloaded adobe to fil out the form but i cant still open it.

You either need to purchase Adobe Acrobat Pro, or go to a place such as http://www.pdfescape.com/ to fill out the form.  There is an edit functionality in Preview application, but that doesn't always fill out all types of forms.

  • Problem Filling a form in Adobe Reader X

Recently, I've been getting error messages when I try to view a PDF file in Internet Explorer 9. I decided to uninstall Adobe Reader X (10.1.3) and reinstalled it, and seems to be working now.
Today, I was trying to fill in some tax-related forms and a form for school, which are both "fillable" pdf forms. I know that they are fillable, because I have already filled them the same way (via Adobe Reader X) in the past. When I try to fill them now, I see the purple message bar that says "Please fill out the following form. You cannot save data typed into this form. Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records". I have also tried to click on the "Highlight Existing Fields" button, but this doens't seem to work (and the fillable fields are not highlighted in purple).
I am able to click each field and see a black boarder around the selected field. Sometimes, I also see the indicator "I" but when I begin to type, nothing that I type appears in the field. I even try to use the "Add text" feature under the "sign" tab on the right-hand side of the window, the options to "Add Text", "Place Signature" and "Done Signing" are greyed out and cannot be clicked.
What do I do? I have already tried uninistalling and re-installing Adobe Reader X, but have had no luck. Is there any way to downgrade to Adobe Reader X (10.1.2) in case that version works better?
    Thanks

PDF files have to be specially enabled for you to save the contents. It appears the old version of these files had this capability, but the new version does not. Without Acrobat you will be unable to save the files. If these are truly government files, you can try going to the government's website and see if you can download a copy that will allow you to save the form field data.

  • Cannot save, cannot print PDF form in Adobe Reader 9

I downloaded a PDF form for an application from the internet. It opened in Adobe Reader 9, where I was able to fill out information in the PDF. Some areas required a scroll bar for long lists of information. Now, I cannot save the PDF or else all of my information disappears!! I cannot print the PDF, because all of the information is not immediately visible, due to scroll bars. It only prints what is immediately visible.
I need help - I cannot save, print, or exit out of this form that I have filled out multiple times at this point from attempts to Save.

What means "cannot"; what happens when you try?

  • Filling in Forms with Adobe Reader 9

I'm working on filling in a form, designed by the IRS, for one of my clients.  I'm using Adobe Reader 9, and the form has been assigned document rights, allowing me to fill in the appropriate fields.  There are several multi-line fields in the document, for addresses and other contact information, and the default font size is too large for many of these fields to be fully displayed when printed.
I've attempted to use the properties toolbar I've seen suggested by other users, but when the text is selected, the box either tells me that no selection has been made or simply displays my logon for the company network as having authored the document.
Is there a way to actually make this text fit in the allocated boxes so that it is fully displayed when I print the document for submission to a government agency?  Why doesn't Adobe make this feature more easily accessible?  I've seen many problems/complaints related to this issue within this, and several other releases of Adobe's product.  Any insight is appreciated.

It's completely up to the IRS to create a form where the information fits in the field. There is nothing you can do with Reader since it is simply what it is called, a reader.
For you to change the document properties would require using the full version of Acrobat.

  • Can't save PDF from Internet Explorer embedded Adobe Reader

One of our clients use an application to digitally distribute and
approve incoming invoices.  The scanned invoices (PDF's) are
visualised in the webbased application by using the embedded Adober Reader 9.0 in Internet Explorer 8.0.
While there is no problem printing PDF's, on some pc's it is impossible to save a PDF.  When you click on the save icon, nothing happens.
This issue has been resolved on some pc's by reinstalling Adobe Reader, but not on others.
Does anyone know what causes this problem and how it can be resolved?
    Thanks in advance!
    Thomas

    Hi Guys,
I have Win 7 64bit as well, and I have the same problem.
A pain when you're doing research and opening lots of browser windows
    with PDFs in em.
What I've found is that this is an Internet explorer issue.
Everything works perfectly fine in Firefox.
You can save, print, the works, with no problems.
Looks like Microsoft have to do something with IE.
