I have searched for pictures on google, can i then save them to the phone?

yes.
press on any image and keep pressing (a couple seconds) until a message at the bottom of the browser appears asking you if you want to save the image or open the link. if you select "save image" then it will be save in your photos.

I searched some stuff in google images, tried to save a few pictures but there is nowhere to click on that saves images. when I press ... on my display there is no option to save image.can anyone help? I have unlimited internet so downloading data is not a problem. thanks

Welcome to the forum!
Your phone can save images from the internet. To do that, you just have to tap and hold the image and then select save image. To view the images, go to Pictures > Albums > Saved pictures.

Is there a way to save a picture from safari and have it on the pictures location either in the camera or just when you are viewing photos on the iphone?

Why can't I save pictures from Safari in my Photos app anymore?

I can not save any photo from mail or safari in the photos app since I upgraded to iOS 5. This is very annoying since i lost all the media I had doing this and now I can't get my pics back. I will complain in an apple store soon. I hope they will fix this, or sb here will figure out whats wrong...

I think my problem is harder to solve than that. What you say is what I first tried to do. Since the sync with iTunes was still working, I could still have some pictures in the photos app, and each time I was syncing new pics from my computer ( PC btw ) I had a prompt that said sth like "xx elements have not be synced, check what on iTunes on the PC" but there was nothing on iTunes, and every pic I synced was here in the photos app. I thought there was a directory problem, or ghost pic files issues, so I made a backup of the iPad from iTunes and I disabled the autosync with iTunes. when I got it back, I directly tried to save a pic from safari and mail (even before syncing anything) and it was still not working.
I really can't figure out why is this occurring, and I haven't tried anything else for now. I think I will show this up in an apple store cause it's kinda hard to explain.
PS: sorry for the mistakes, I know this is annoying and makes my weird stuff hard to understand, but English is not my first language. (but I will keep on, the English community is still the best!)

HT201317 how can I save pictures from photostream to my pc that I already took

I am sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I can't seem to find an answer (that I am willing to accept!).
I have an Iphone, Ipad and PC.
My iphone and ipad both have photostream (about 650 pictures each), and the camera rolls only have about 100 pictures each. I am not sure why my photostream has more pictures, possibly the photostream is the culmination of my iphone 4 and 5. I do not normaly sync with itunes with a cable on my PC. I do have icloud, and it has about 5 gigs full.
There are a bunch of pictures in photostream that I want, so that I can make a photoalbum with shutterfly, etc. However, when I try and save or email the pictures from photostream to myself, the file size is under 1 meg. (640k), but the pictures should be 2 megs+. From reading posts, it seems that Apple adjusts the size to display on apple devices. Also, I have seen where photostream can automatically download pictures to your pc in their original format, but this feature is for going forward, not prior pictures taken.
However, my challenge is to be able to access previously taken pictures, in their original file/quality size, to save to my PC.
Is their a computer program, or something else? I seemed to read that "maybe" if I had a MAC with iphoto, that it might let me import from photostream in original format, but even that was not 100%.
Please help, as these are pictures were taken over several months time, and I need to put them in a photo book for a friend.
I am willing to do anything, even buy a MAC, if I can just get my photos off of photostream (or icloud), in their original size and glory.

Photos are downloaded to a computer from an iPhone similar to the way a digital camera works. Using iCloud to transfer photos to a PC requires the iCloud Control Panel. Read this article for more help on both methods:

Can't save PDFs from Safari or Firefox after latest (10.1.3) update

I just installed the latest update, and now when I open a PDF in Safari, I can't save it to my computer. I get a message saying "The document XXX.pdf could not be exported as XXX." When I try to do it from Firefox, the PDF won't even open. I tried deleting the plugins and reinstalling Reader and that didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks!

Regarding firefox, update it to version 10.0 or later and use it in 32-bit mode only.
To save pdf's in safari, please try using the save button in toolbar and see if it works.

I can't save pictures from anywhere. When I click on save as, I'm getting them as .url page, not picture like jpg or whatever.

I cant save pictures anymore as .jpg, .jpeg, .png.. when I click save picture, I get .url or some other format.

Try to change (rename) the file extension from .url to .jpg to see if that gives a valid image file.

Why is it that I can't save pictures from FB?! It does it for other apps , saved one time now it's jacked up .

I just update my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 yesterday an it worked great but now its glitching . Can't use pictures to save off of face book my phone stopped vibrating,typing is slow, couldn't use my phone to talk on the phone all day unless it was on speaker. I just asked for anew iPhone if this one doesn't get a better update soon... this update is a wreck . Need a fix now. So disappointed in apple right now .

It's probably your google settings because I had this problem too! Go to "Settings" > "Privacy" > "Photos" > Make sure that next to Google it is "On". Hope this helps!

How can I save pictures from Photostream on my Windows Pc?

Hello everybody!
I've got a problem - I want to save the pictures, which I have saved in Photostream (and which ARE in Photostream on my Pc too), on my Windows 7 (32Bit) computer. They ARE in the folder 'photostream' on my comp. but I can't move with them! And I don't want to put the fotos on my pc with the sync cabel with my iPad! So - How can I move the pics from the Photostream-folder to an other folder?

You cannot. To download photos from your iPad save them to the Camera Roll and sync your iPad to your computer using iTunes.

Can't save picture from screenshot (Firefox tool)

Firefox version: 18.0 for Mac 10.8.2
Using firefox tool screenshot to snip the pictures and pop up a window to allow you to edit it. Then press save button to the assigned folder. But the picture is not there. Can't find the picture even by serach function to search the whole computer!

I have this same issue and it also happens to the add-ons "Awesome Screenshot", "Screen Grab" and other screenshot extensions that I have used. I even tried to reset firefox and complete a fresh install and the same thing happens. Not sure what is going on. I am using Firefox for several years and never had any problem. Since i update it to the new Firefox, problems start:
If i am trying to save a picture from ALL internet, it is not working. I am doing in the same way, like always: view image/save image as.... When i click it is not working, and all my screen doing like i make a refresh. I can't save photos from text messages and cannot access keyboard

does anyone know why i can't save pictures from text messages received and why i am unable to access my keyboard to type out messages?

When you press and hold on the picture...it does not give you an option to save the image? Also for the keyboard issue...go into settings/application manager(it may also say apps/manage apps). At the top scroll over and select all. Scroll down and find messaging and tap on it. If you have an option to clear data and force stop then select them(it wont delete anything). Once done go back in the list and see if you also have anything that says keyboard or android keyboard and do the clear data/force stop on that also.
