Can I save the songs on my iphone to itunes on my computer?

Help. My husband accidentally deleted my ENTIRE i-tunes library (yes from the music folder and then deleted it from trash)!!! He thought he was "helping" me.
I have many (but not all) of the songs saved on my iphone. Is there a way to save them into i-tunes?

to save your ipod songs to your computer do the following
1. connect ipod/iphone to the computer
2. Open the "My Computer" Folder
3. Select your device
4. After the (E:/) OR (F:/) in the address bar typ in E:/Ipod_control/music
5. Right click the folder, in a white black are (if the f00 folders are hidden)and select properties.
6.Click on hidden and apply then click on it again so theres no check on the box and click apply again
7. Select apply changes to this folder and subfolders
8. Once you have done this you should see alot of folders that begin with F and end in numbers select all the folders and right click them and choose Send to> My Documents
9. You may have to wait a while depending on how many songs and videos you havae
10. Once the folders are all in your documents you can now open itunes and select all the F folders in your documents and drag and drop them in your itunes library, wait a while and then you will have them on your itunes library and you can now disconnect the ipod/iphone

  • How can I transfer the songs from a CD to iTunes if my computer doesn't have a CD drive?

I have iTunes installed in my personal computer and that's the only computer where I connect my ipod touch (5th generation) and where I have all my music. But the problem is that this personal computer doesn't have a CD drive. I was thinking about installing iTunes on another computer (that does have a CD drive) and transfering the songs from the CD here and then connect my ipod to transfer the album. But will my ipod synce in this new computer and make a security copy and delete all my previous songs (from my personal computer)? And also, will I be able to transfer the album from my ipod to the iTunes library in my personal computer? Or is there any other solution for this? Thank you.

Or is there any other solution for this?
Be careful, the method you describe will indeed delete the contents of your iPod.
Instead, after you rip your CD on the other computer, copy the resulting song files to a flash drive.  Then copy them from the flash drive to your main computer, and add them to your iTunes library.

  • I can not complete the sync of my iphone with itunes on my computer

When I connect my iPhone to my computer (PC) with USB cable it opens the itunes store, finds my iPhone and begins the sync process. Then it starts transferring new purchases and updates to my apps and times out
Then I get the error message Attempting to copy to the disk "OS" failed. The device timed out.
I also get an error message with iTunes help diagnostics that says "Secure link to iTunes Store Failed"
Are these error messages because of my iPhone or iTunes or some obscure settings on my PC. This did not happen until I updated several apps, purchased a new book and purchased and downloaded the Sky Walk app on my phone.

    That problem is covered here:

How can I save the settings of my iPhone 4 before resetting the phone in addition to saving the apps etc. by synchronisation with i-tunes

All the phone settings are save in the backup which is automatically created when you sync the phone.

Please clarify what you mean by "resetting" the phone. When you reset the phone, no data is deleted.  Do you actually mean Restore the phone?  See the User Guide, Appendix B for the correct terminology,

I can not play the songs on my iphone 4s, the more they have been transferred to the cell, help please

Connect your iPod to your computer. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in iTunes enable it for disk use, this is required for most if not all the utilities listed below so they can access the files: Using your iPod as a storage drive
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, have a look at the web pages and documentation, they are generally quite straightforward, just check for one that soecifically state they work with the iPod shufle. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

There is also manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved and was written long before iTunes 7 and Windows Vista so it requires a little adaptation as the iPod preferences are no longer in the location mention for instance but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes

There's some third party applications available. The following article is pretty old (2008) so it would be best to reality-check the capabilities and availability of the various listed items prior to opting for a particular product:

how can i put my songs from my iphone to itunes on my laptop without replacing it with the content of the music on my laptop?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Have you failed to do this?
If so, not good, then you may be able to purchase third party software to extract the music from your iphone.  This is not supported by Apple.

  • I recently purchased a new computer and just downloaded itunes. I have an old iphone that has over 1,000 songs that I want to put on itunes. How do I get the songs on my iphone onto itunes?

Help! I just bought a new computer and am trying to get the songs from my iphone to itunes on the computer. My old computer that had all of origional songs on itunes crashed so all I have is my old iphone. How do I get the songs to go into my itunes library. I would like to purchase a new iphone and plan to load the songs on it after I can figure this out? Please Help?

Restore them to the new computer using the bakcup of the old one. If you don't have a backup of the old computer, you can re-download music purchased from the iTunes store. If they were imported from CD's, etc. You will either have to re-rip them or purchase third party software to extract them from the phone. The iPhone is not a backup or data transfer device.

  • How can I list the songs in an album in iTunes without having to do it one by one? Some albums are not numbered.

How can I list the songs in an album in iTunes without having to do it one by one? Some albums are not numbered or they show 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1.

Poor metadata needs to be corrected if the album is to display properly in iTunes. iTunes sees an "album" as any collection of tracks with the same Album title and the same Album Artist (or Artist if Album Artist isn't set). Each track of the album should have distinct Track V of W and Disc X of Y vaules. W,X,Y are optional, but X may be needed for multi disc albums.

  • How can I get the songs on my iPhone to play since updating to iOS 5.1.1?

    Hi guys,
I have an iPhone 3Gs and I've imported CD's into iTunes on my mac mini and synced it with my iPhone. Since I installed the latest iOS on my iPhone, some of the songs don't play all the way through, they skip to the next song. I listened to the songs in my iTunes library and each song plays through. Last night I tried to resolve the issue by removing the songs from my iPhone, syncing it again and adding the songs but it didn't work.
Can anyone tell me what steps I need to take to resolve this issue?
    Thanks Guys :-)

    Anybody?

  • Can i take the songs on my iPhone and put it in a new computer?

Lost my hard drive and all songs. Have all the songs i need on my iPhone, can i take the songs on the iPhone and put in on a new pc?

iTunes includes an option to transfer content that was purchased from the iTunes Store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for content that was purchased from the iTunes Store only.
Without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
Any iTunes content transferred to your iPhone that was acquired elsewhere besides the iTunes Store will be lost.
This is why maintaining a backup is so important - including your iTunes library along with all your other important data stored on an external drive used for backup purposes only, or stored on some other media such as CD or DVD.
It isn't a matter of if, but when your hard drive has a partial or complete failure since none last forever - this can happen with a brand new hard drive.
