Can i schedule wifi and 3g user via locations?

Hello,
Can I use locations to automatically shift from 3G to Wifi in my iphone 4S? Say I'm at home or the office where wifi is available, my phone shuts down the 3G feature and uses wifi instead.

This is done automatically by the iPhone.
The iPhone will always connect to the fastest internet connection available.
When your iPhone is in range of an available wi-fi network it has connected with previously, if wi-fi access is on your iPhone will connect to the wi-fi network automatically. When leaving the range of such a wi-fi network, your iPhone will connect to your carrier's cellular network for internet access automatically. The switch between the two is automatic and seamless with the iPhone.

I've only had this phone since Sept. and have already had to have the speaker replaced. NOW I can't access wifi and/or bluetooth (both are grey). Let me see if I understand correctly, you can access the Internet and email when on wifi, however when not on wifi, none of this works? Is this correct? If so, do you have a data plan with your carrier? Do you have cellular data turned on in Settings? When you look at your carrier in the upper left corner, do you see a signal, carrier name, and then 3G, 4G or LTE displayed? Have you contacted your carrier about this?

No, any update can do this. It has happened to a small number of iPhones after every update since iOS 1.0.1. It almost always is due to a hardware failure.

How can I 'login' as a different user via ARD?

It has been too many years and I cannot remember much of anything anymore...
My main computer is running the ARD admin app. I have a 'server' that has the
client software installed and setup to auto login to my admin account on the 'server'.
I can easily connect to the server using ARD... however I would like to connect
as a different user ( the postgresql admin account).
Is is possible to do this via the ARD software?
If I log out on my main admin account on the server while connected via ARD
then the remote desktop software on my main
computer reports that ARD in no longer active on the server client and I cannot access
the server via ARD without rebooting the server.
The help menu in ARD gives an Applescript that supposedly will allow a login from
the clients login screen but I don't seem to recall how to setup the client so
that one can access the server if the login screen is up...
I am running the latest everything...
In short-- Can I use ARD to connect as different users on a client machine? ( if so how)

Never mind...
I enabled postgres in the sharing panel.
When I log out I get the login screen and I can directly
login to the postgres account via ARD.

Can I use WiFi and other features without activating phone

I want to find out if I can still use WiFi, connect to the computer, etc without activating actual phone service with Verizon. Basically I plan on getting this phone free with a new contract, but I will continue to use my old phone as the actual active phone. (There are no new phones that don't require $30 data plan that are actually better than the phone I have now.)

Yes, the Kin TwoM will work on wifi without activating the service. Before activating mine, I was able to use web browsing and email for about a week on wifi. I didn't try out the Zune software until later, though I don't think that would be affected either.
However, I did start getting automated txt msgs from verizon warning that I would be in violation of the 2 year discount/aggrement (and be charged full price of the phone) unless I activated the Kin on my number. I went ahead and activated the Kin at that time.
At present, I could not find anything to that wording in the fine print agreement, and I don't think there would be any problem porting my number back to my old phone, but beware that you may have to activate the Kin once then transfer your number back to your old phone.

This seems to be a problem relatet to the current versions of the app. After uninstalling Spotify I installed an older version, 2.8.0.1081, which worked perfectly with wifi. No newer versions seem to work so I hope there will be a fix soon. I've tried changing the UPnP as well as NAT filtering settings, but the newer versions of the app still wont work.

How can I share contacts with Android users via the "share contact" button via messaging or otherwise

I have an iPhone 5/iOS 6. My friend(s) use Android phones. At times, they request a contact I have, but every time I select "Share Contact" via the button in my iPhone's Contact list, either as an Email or Message, they recieve an unusable file format - in other words, it just doesn't get to them. If I manually copy and paste the fields into a txt, they will get the info. Is there an app, or something I need to do differently to be able to share contacts with Android users via the "Share Contact" button in iOS?

Shouldn't be an issue here, as the iPhone shares the contact info in standard vCard format.

Portal: Password reset and unlock User via UME?

I'm new to Portal and SAP. I'm trying to find options to have a username unlocked and password sent to user based on a userid from our Portal logon page.
The end user needs only to know their user ID, and based on this user ID I need their username to be unlocked, and a temporary password to be emailed to them (Looked up from their user ID via Database)
From what I've been reading UME can do this, but when I look into configuration of it I'm not seeing anything that can define this to show up on the Portal logon page. Does this have to be developed and built in or linked as a separate page or is there a prefab one made already(nothing I could find showed evidence of this, although the documentation regarding UME hinted at this)?
The end user doesn't need to answer security questions because to get access to the portal they already have to be on my secured network.
Any help would be great!

As for allowing a user to unlock their account from the logon page, there is no such functionality that I know of. This would need to be developed. We are doing something similar. In our case, we are developing a module that allows user to retreive their user ID if they forget it. This also is not functionality that SAP provides. The user can specify their email address, and it emails them their user ID. This is being developed in Web Dynpro for Java utilizing the UME APIs.

I can't connect to wifi with my iphone 5s or my ipad mini. It this related to the update? I can't update either without a wifi connection. My work bans iTunes, so even though I have a computer, I can't update that way, either. My husband has the 6 (which is fully updated with the new ios) and has no problems with the same wifi signal. What can I do to fix this?

Why can't you connect with either device? Related to what update? You say that you cannot update. I'm guessing since you refer to a computer at work, that you do not have a computer at home? What troubleshooting have you tried for connecting to the Wi-Fi network? See this support document for a little help with that. iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections - Apple Support

After install of 2.0 Playbook can't see WiFi and Bridge Apps won't execute

Last weekend I finally bit the bullet and installed 2.0. I installed over WiFi but after the install the Playbook could no longer detect my D-link router (DIR-825). My Bold 9700 WiFi connection is fine. Also, I updated the Bridge software on my phone and the Playbook recognizes the connection but none of the Bridge Apps activate when I touch their respective icons. I've rebooted (3 finger) several times to no avail. I also tried manually connecting to the WiFi but without success. There also seems to be considerable battery drain compared to the 1.0 release despite keeping the Playbook in standby. I assume I'll have to re-install 2.0 and would appreciate any other suggestions as well as any guidelines on re-installing to ensure success and to avoid loss of apps and data. I did a full backup prior to the 2.0 install and will do another data backup prior to reinstalling.

Since we upgraded the software, nothing but trouble. Can't see wireless network, can't connect manually to the computer (to copy files off), can't connect to wireless manually. Totally useless.

How do I send out a pdf so that others can fill it out and return it via e-mail?

I have been trying to do this for a while and am wondering if I can or if I need a different program to be able to do it (if thats the case please let me knkow which one). I tried making a distribution list and sending it to myself and when I tried to open the link it took me to a black page that said Acrobat.com on it and nothing else. Am I doing something wrong? I assume you have figured out how to create a form. You will need to add a submit button. It is best to have the data submitted that you can easily import to the form if needed, or process separately. In Designer, you would select XML submission to a mailto:<address> format. In Acrobat, you would select FDF, XFDF, or XML to a mailto:<address> format. Be aware that email submission is risky in that you need the client machine to be running MAPI, something you have no control over.

1. Option to set the background color of a header in a table (not the entire table)
2. Option to prevent the column lines from going through the header section of the table
3. Group objects together in Diadem, (like PowerPoint ?)
4. Make DIAdem font size correspond to MS Office 's font size
5. Option to make individual Column/Row lines bold and set background color for each individual column/row

Going form Note 2 to Note 4, can I use wifi and xfer data before activation

Already have Verizon. I want to update the Note 4 first,move over my apps and data before activating the Note 4, can I do this?
When I do, do i use the SIM card in the Note 2 in the Note 4?

The best way to fully transfer data will be to back up your current phone and then activate the new phone to transfer. Have you ever been able to connect your iPhone to any wi-fi network?
If there is an available wi-fi network you are in range of that is not recognized by your iPhone and your iPhone does not recognize any wi-fi network, if no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, your iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or with something else.
