Can I search my calendar

It would be very useful to me if I can search my calendar so I can record when I last saw clients. I used to have an iPAQ and I could just put in the client's name and it would list all the entries relating to that name. Is this possible on the iTouch?

Help me to search on calendar for more than one year

I desparately need to be able to search on calendar for more than one year., which was taken away on the new operating system. I have kept personal memories of my husband on there in the notes sections on days when we did things. ( I have also kept all kinds of personal notes, like doctor records or conversations, in the notes of events/dates.) it is a huge loss for me not to be able to search my calendar for more than one year. Is there any way I can do this?

How can i delete a calendar

After syncing I have 2 calendars, one is named calendar the other is named home. I want to delete the one named home.
Also, how can I search these discussion forums? When i tried to search using the search box on the top right it gives me a bunch of results that have nothing to do with the discussion forums.

I don't have a home calendar in my outlook. I have one calendar that sits on the exchange server and a personal calendar. It appears that the phone still sees a home calendar somewhere.
No matter what I do I can't get it to sync to my calendars anymore. I knew I shouldn't have updated so quickly.

Searching for calendar items older than a specific date with search-mailbox and AQS

I need to find the total size of all calendar items in a mailbox older than a specified date using PowerShell through the search-mailbox cmdlet's searchquery parameter. My problem is that I cannot find a complete list of Calendar item properties to
use in search queries. The AQS page doesn't have a complete list of properties for a Calendar object.
I'm using code from the ArchiveStatisticsPlanner.ps1 script as a base and the only date properties I know of are the sent and receive properties (see below.) The basic start, end, date properties generate errors in the query. How can I find all
Calendar items older than say, 1/1/2013?

Well, two thoughts.
The battery has completely discharged and will take overnight to recharge, so don't expect much in an hour.
The battery has deep discharged and is now dead. It will never recharge and should be replaced.

Searching iPhone calendar

Anyone know how to actually "search" the calendar on iPhone rather than simply scrolling through the list? I have mine synched with MS Outlook at my office and use this as a database as I have for several years on a Pocket PC. Only difference I've seen is that I can't seem to figure out how to look for something I've done in the past unless I know the specific date.

Searching in Calendar for 2week+ appointments

Hi guys Hope u can help. I've set up numerous appointments on my calendar, some going 3-4 months ahead of the current date, others just two to three weeks down the line. I often want to check when an appointment was scheduled and want to search for it. In the absence of a search function directly in calendar, the only alternative I've found is the Blackberry search tool. When using this however, it only finds appointments upcoming in the week (1 week from today) and not appointments further than a week away. Hope anyone can help. Much appreciated

I have a service business and have to continually reference client info and service data often going back past 1 year and a lot of it's in the calendar. The reason I have apple devices is because they sync info. OS X on the desktop does this effortlessly, why not ios 6? Wondering if there's an app that can work with ios calendar to search past 1 year. This lack of search capability is reallly limiting!

Can't access google calendar with parental controls on

We are trying to give our daughter accesss to the family's Google calendar. In the parental controls we have "try to limit adult websites" as the selection. With this on, she is not able to log into the calendar - it gives a message that says something about not being able to establish a secure connection. She can go on the Google homepage without problem and search, etc. - but she can't access the Google sign-in or the calendar.
When we change the parental controls setting to "allow all websites" she can log onto the calendar without any problem.
We also tried adding the various google web address strings under the "customize" tab for "always allow these sites" while still leaving the "try to limit adult websites" as the overall setting. Even with the specific sites approved - she still can't access the calendar.
What's up?? Isn't there a way we can allow her to see the calendar without having to give her unecessary exposure to anything on the net?

So after I made my original post above I continued searching the forums and found the answer below. It refers to Googla Mail but their solution worked just as well for Google Calendar. Who knew it would be so simple. I just went into "always allow these sites" and put in the 1e100.net and it worked like a champ! The adult sites are still screened out but she can now access Google without any issue.

If you have users for whom under "Parental Controls/Content" you've chosen "Allow access only to these websites" (they can only get to the websites that are bookmarked by you) and if Google Mail was already a bookmark, then just do this: click the plus sign below the list in "Parental Controls/Content/Allow access only to these websites", and choose "Add Bookmark." On the pop-up, name the site "goog" or anything you want; then type in: 1e100.net in the box asking for an address. This will produce a new bookmark (named "goog" or whatever you've chosen), but will in effect just be a dummy or slave bookmark that you'll never use, but it'll allow you to get to your user's google mail sign in page by hitting the old google mail bookmark he or she used to hit. Second scenario (I have both scenarios in my home): if you have users for whom under "Parental Controls/Content" you've chosen "Try to Limit Access to Adult Websites Automatically", click the "Customize" button and then on the top of the pop-up, under "Always Allow These Websites," click the plus button and then add: 1e100.net . Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!! Didn't know how to do the spotlight search...and it immediately found my calendar...now I have to figure out getting the icon somewhere I can find it...but it brought it up and it had all the information I needed...just a small step now to place it somewhere!

Is it possible to search old calendar events on icloud

In Address Book create a group of the contacts you want to search and export it as a vCard, or just export all of them as a vCard. This will create a vCard file in your Documents folder. A vCard file is formatted in a structured way, but is text readable.
Then use FilemarkMaker to convert the vCard file into a Bookmark in Safari. That way you will be able to access it in Safari on the iPhone as a bookmark any time you want.
Unfortunately Safari on the iPhone doesn't include a find in page feature. But fortunately you can add all kinds of functionality to Safari using Bookmarklets, including a Find in Page bookmarklet available at www.lifeclever.com/17-powerful-bookmarklets-for-your-iphone/.

I can not adjust the calendar in profilemanager

I can not adjust the calendar in profilemanager, in group settings, try to create a profile to calendar automatically adjusts for each user when it is installed on the client machine fails (failed). If the profile is set manually, the message - "The Calendar Account payload could not be installed. An attempt to create the account securely failed"

I think it might be becasue the Profile Distribution Type in the General payload is set to "Automatic Push" and you have an incorrect password for the calendar account. Try switching the Profile Distribution Type to Manual Download and leavign the password blank so the user has to enter it when they try to add it.
There's a weird thing where the calendar password field becomes "required" in Automatic Push mode in which case not only must there be characters entered in the field but the password must be correct for it to work. Not great for a profiel intended for more than one person.

I can't search through my Purchased content in the iOS 6 App Store.

In iOS 5 I could go to the Purchased area and push down for a search bar to show up. But in iOS 6 there is nothing there.
I clean out room on my iPhone with the knowledge that if I really need this app later that I can just reinstall it. Now that is going to be a hassle scrolling through all my bought app's. Sometimes I can't remember the name of something I had once had and if I could sort them into categories that would be helpful as well. But the main point is that I can't search, also when I do find something there and I press it it just shows like the version information. It use to take me to the app page so I can make sure that was what I was looking for. I have a lot of photo app's and I can not be expected to know what everyone of those do.

Yup, the new itunes is worthless unless every song you have is in your itunes library as well. (unless you buy every song from itunes this is simply impossible) Apparently Apple threw away the feature in an effort to force everyone to purchase their media through itunes. This is probably the worst idea about the new Itunes, the only way to go back is to restore your computer to a time before you downloaded the new version, otherwise wait and hope the next version in a year or so will have it.
