Can I see movies and get apps outside of the US?

I'm trying to decide whether to buy an iPad2 or a Kindle Fire. One of the main issues with Kindle Fire is that it does not offer apps or movies outside of the US. Does iPad2?

AFAIK - that should work. As long as you have the valid credit card with the billing address for that card in the US you should be able to buy from the US app store when you leave the country.
KP's post indicates that you must be in that country at the time of purchase, but to me - it makes no sense for those who travel a good bit of the time. However, I cannot say definitively that you can do it, but I think that it can be done.
KP is a good bit smarter and more experienced than I am so I'm sure he will be chiming in again!

After install of 2.0 Playbook can't see WiFi and Bridge Apps won't execute

Last weekend I finally bit the bullet and installed 2.0. I installed over WiFi but after the install the Playbook could no longer detect my D-link router (DIR-825). My Bold 9700 WiFi connection is fine. Also, I updated the Bridge software on my phone and the Playbook recognizes the connection but none of the Bridge Apps activate when I touch their respective icons. I've rebooted (3 finger) several times to no avail. I also tried manually connecting to the WiFi but without success. There also seems to be considerable battery drain compared to the 1.0 release despite keeping the Playbook in standby. I assume I'll have to re-install 2.0 and would appreciate any other suggestions as well as any guidelines on re-installing to ensure success and to avoid loss of apps and data. I did a full backup prior to the 2.0 install and will do another data backup prior to reinstalling.

Since we upgraded the software, nothing but trouble. Can't see wireless network, can't connect manually to the computer (to copy files off), can't connect to wireless manually. Totally useless.
Can ANYBODY help?

Do i have a bad iphone? can only see movies and no songs, then vice versa!?

How can i fix this? sometimes i can only see the 1 movie i put in, and sometimes i can only see the songs i put in, and no movies at all.. but they are deffenetly in there....

TS3694 I keep on restoring my iPhone only to fail with it saying error 3002 has occurred. I have done everything I can do to try and get that out of the way. It still says error 3002 has occurred. Can someone tell me what's going on?

Can't open AppStore and Email app after installing the OSX Update 10.8.3

Hi there, after I installed the OSX 10.8.3 update I can't open my Email and App Store apps. This is the popup message that appears when i try to open those apps. I tried to reinstall the app but I can't open my App Store. I also downloaded and installed the OSX Update 10.8.3 and the 10.8.2 again from the download support page, but I couldn't solve my problem. Does anyone knows how can i fix it?

Pages show layout: How can I see/view textboxes or images outside of the design area?

I would like to be able to see items that I'm working on outside of my design area. I recently switched to pages from ms publisher. The photos show examples of what I would like to accomplish since it's a difficult question to word.

Or keep it in another Section so you can drag/option drag them into place.
There is a sort of Pasteboard to the right and below but it is not visible. You can lasso out to grab any objects hidden there or leave just an edge hanging onto the margin on the side of the page so you can grab the items. Alternatively have a few colored objects lying on the side of the page grouped to the bigger objects off the page.

Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.

Are you expecting to see the apps that you can see on the iPad, on the Mac?
iOS apps which run on your iPad and use the iOS operating system, won't run on your Mac, which usues a different operating system, OS X.

Its not clear what MacPro you have. If it is a newer one then the thunderbolt adapter will work. If it's like mine, a 2008 model then you may face some issues.
If your MacPro is older and has DVI outputs for video then you are going to have to either use a TV with DVI in or get a DVI to HDMI or DVI to VGA, whatever your TV will accept as input.
Also if you have to go this way the DVI doesn't contain audio so you'd need another cable to move audio from your MacPro to your TV. So this could get complicated. There might be some easier solutions.
As mentioned you might be able to airplay it to an apple TV if you have one.
